If I could rate this place a zero I would. The staff was making the whole process seem very rushed and they are not who they claim to be. The kids working at the front desk genuinely looked like they were still in high school. After doing research on this place I see it being talked very highly, must be from the relatives or friends leaving these reviews from the people who work at this establishment. The piercing process itself was fine. I was at first impressed with the anatomy consult that I was required to have at this place before getting my piercing (I was cleared for it obviously). I asked the girl who pierced my ear how frequently I should clean it and she said every other day??? I have had many piercings from tattoo shops and not once have I ever heard them say I should clean it every other day. Therefore, I took the matter into my own hands and cleaned it once-twice a day like I normally would with all of my other piercings that have not gotten this bad. Today I went to the doctor to get the piercing removed and they could not even remove it due to how much swelling. I am now on antibiotics, constantly icing and resting to see if I can get it removed from my doctors again tomorrow (mind you, there were 3 doctors attending to take this out and not one of them could). They told me if the antibiotics and ice do not help with the swelling that I will need SURGERY. I call this "wonderful" company today and tell them what is happening. I was not expecting for a refund of the $120 I spent for this painful bullshit, but a thoughtful "wow I am so sorry this is happening to you" would have been nice which they did not even say. Overall, I am very disappointed with this place and will not ever be returning back. Save yourself the trouble, save yourself the money and just go to a tattoo shop where they are much more humble and show more compassion towards their customers. DO NOT COME HERE! read more

This past Memorial Day, there was a pretty good sale on their online store (coupon code was posted on their instagram) so I thought I would give it a try. They have a large selection of fine jewelry - gold, white gold, rose gold in threadless tops, rings, etc. from Moll Doll, Body Gems, LeRoi, and Neometal to name a few, and it's pretty well organized on their website. I got free USPS shipping with tracking with my order and it arrived in Florida in about 5 days. There were other faster shipping options available but I was fine with the free one. My earrings arrived nicely packaged in a padded envelope that contained a cute box, thank you note and candy. I was pleasantly surprised to find each earring top individually sealed and pre-bent. I will say the selection they offer is beautiful. I went to the Ashland location and they greeted me, had me sign a waiver so they can help me with a jewelry change. Up to this point everything was great and then they set me up with Amaya to help me choose my jewelry and it was the worst experience! Her energy was way off as of she didn't want to be there. I made sure to mention this was my 1st time changing my piercing and wasn't very well versed with the type of jewelry. Instead of offering me options it felt like I was being rushed into choosing the jewelry she wanted me to pick. My bff went with with me and asked someone else if those were the only options because it wasn't what I was looking for at the time and they pointed to another section which was also an option. She initially handed me a pointer but never stated not to touch jewelry. When she pulled one out for me I was reaching to touch and basically got scolded like a child "don't touch the jewelry". I actually went to take a seat at that moment because I was feeling over it. I have spent almost $2,000 here in the last two years or so on fine jewelry and piercings. I had both ears curated with all gold and diamond jewelry. Not one of those piercings exists in my ears to this day because they wouldn't heal properly and closed because I couldn't take how painful the areas were even after a YEAR. But what compelled me to write this review today is I came in today to buy a gold and diamond nose stud. Which I did. It cost me $240. And they wouldn't even put it in for me?? I was charged for the stupid backings as well which I hate from this place because they try to charge you for every last thing. And what's worse, since they wouldn't fit it for me, the nose bar is too big and my $240 nose stud now floats on top of my nostril. Thanks for the fantastic customer service! Nothing but great things to say about this piercing shop! Madison was very friendly and patient with me as I decided where on my ear I wanted to get pierced and which jewelry I wanted to choose. Joanna was my piercer and also removed a piercing that had been done incorrectly at another shop and helped me figure out a game plan to get it redone! They answered so many of my questions and were so helpful. And the helix piercing I got looks great! Was recommended to check this place out after my local piercer told me they couldn't do the service I needed. What I needed was for an old, stuck tragus piercing to be removed/cut out, and I also wanted new jewelry to put in it. They take walk-in's so I came in around 1 pm. Filled out a form about virus safety and then was shown some selections for jewelry. They have quite a nice selection to chose from. I chose 14k gold with CZ stones because the jewelry I needed to be removed was some cheap piece (from another location) that was turning and turning my piercing dark. So if you're looking to upgrade your metal or are particular about a certain type of metal, they have a nice selection. The jewelry attendant (didn't catch their name) was super patient as I looked at different pieces, telling me the different prices and materials. I didn't feel rushed (I'm a bit indecisive), and the only thing was you couldn't touch the pieces but that's understandable given the times. After I made my selection, Madeline did my piercing. She made me super comfortable and was very gentle with what I know what a tough earring to remove lol. I even took a little break (I was getting nervous she wouldn't be able to get it out). Ultimately she got the piece out and it didn't hurt at all and she was super gentle- no harsh tugging or pulling. She was very nice, telling me she'd have to cut/pry my old piece out and asked if that was okay (lol which was nice but we both know that was a piece of trash earring I had. I said "Do whatever you gotta do lol."). Just a nice level of communicating. Next I paid. I wish I had given her the tip in person but I needed change, but I trust she got it. All-in-all I'd say I was in there no more than 20 mins. Very quick, easy, friendly service and super clean shop. The piercer John (25 years of experience) decided to pierce my other nostril first and then change the jewelry on my left nostril after. He didn't realize that by changing to a stud it went a bit higher and now my stuff is crooked. I changed my left nostril back to a hoop when I got home and it's still crooked!! Now the stud he put in on the other nostril is a tad higher than the hoop. If I put in a stud the side he pierced is lower. So infuriating!!! read more

Got my earlobes re-pierced a few weeks ago. They were just regular earlobe piercings. My friend and I walked in on a Saturday without a reservation. We walked in around 2:45 and left around 4:30. I would suggest making an appointment if you want to come in on the weekend. There was a huge rush after we walked in. We signed some waivers and looked around for our jewelry. For a walk in, I suggest picking your jewelry very quickly, since that moves your process along much faster. Friendly and helpful staff members. I picked jewelry on the cheaper side since I knew I would switch out my earrings once they are completely healed. I had to buy 2 studs since I was getting both lobes pierced. With the piercing fee, jewelry, and tip, I paid around $168. My friend got her daith pierced and picked a simple gold hoop. She paid around $170 with the piercing fee, jewelry, and tip. I got pierced in LA at envy body piercing but needed to downsize my post while I was home in Chicago. They are a "sister store" of that location. I wasn't able to make an online appointment but they do take walk-up appointments before 8pm. Parking is street parking and you can't park after 6pm so I'd suggest making your appointment before then. As far as the office staff, they were super polite and helpful. They take your temperature at check in and have you fill out an online consent form on your own phone which is nice because it prevents you from having to touch a shared device. Steven helped me look into jewelry that I wanted to custom order. Madilyn switched out my earring back and seemed very knowledgeable. I asked for her opinion on the placement of my piercing and she reassured me that the other location did a good job in her opinion. It's a large space with multiple procedure rooms. They have a large inventory of jewelry but most of it seemed in the back. They're happy to bring out pieces if you know what you're looking for. Found this place on a whim called ahead to see what was needed with Covid and never over the phone was it mentioned we needed physical vaccination card (not a big deal as I'm about a 5 minute drive my husband just ran it up). Coming from AZ and being unfamiliar with piercers in the area I was hesitant, but stopped in to check it out. It's Strictly piecing which is comforting and they have a great flow the staff is super knowledgeable. They have a ton of jewelry options and are super helpful. I had a great experience. Third time re-piercing my nose because other locations couldn't get it right, and Identity did not disappoint. I made sure to pick a shop that does only piercings this time, and after googling briefly, Identity was one of the first highly recommended shops to pop up. Kim did not disappoint either!! Because I had scar tissue, she was very thorough in explaining why she couldn't repierce me in the same spots, and picked a good spot that was still closely situated to my opposite side nose piercing. She literally talked me through every step, beginning to end, which was much appreciated because little does she know I absolutely loathe needles - putting my mind at absolute ease even when I was starting to tense up. The piercing came out great and I'm satisfied with the results. Unlike my previous two piercings, this one does not hurt at all after the fact and I can tell it will actually take without issue. All-in-all it was $73 and some cents out the door, which I don't think is bad considering the quality of the jewelry being top grade surgical steel. The post fits correctly as well, unlike my previous experiences (who I won't throw under bus). Definitely would go here, 10/10!! Paid $80 for a jewelry change. The jewelry they sold me broke and fell out within three days, and when I came back for a replacement they wanted to recharge me the entire amount for the replacement and said it was my fault that it fell out. Call me crazy, but good jewelry that's been changed properly shouldn't be falling out within three days. And if it does break and fall out, you don't make the customer pay again for what's already been proven to be bad service. Absolutely do not recommend coming here. read more

Joanna was very nice while piercing my ears (additional lobe piercings) and I loved the way that they looked for the first few days. About a week following my piercing appointment, despite my diligent cleaning with saline and careful sleeping, all three of my new piercings became horribly, horribly infected. The worst of them swelled up and fully enclosed the earring. It took a doctor to extract the earring. Given the timeline and the fact that all three were infected, my doctor suggested that they were likely infected in the piercing process. Now two doctors appointments, lots of antibiotics, and blood later, I think I'm finally mostly recovered, but it has been a traumatic experience to say the least. read more

This is my second time getting a piercing here, and both experiences were exceptional. The people at the front desk and jewelry selection were patient, helpful, and nice. The person at jewelry selection was transparent with the prices. The piercer was clearly experienced, explained the aftercare procedure, and placed my third lobe piercing perfectly. After I explained to her that I was prone to fainting, she said that I could sit and wait for as long as I needed which I appreciated. I just got pierced today so I do not have information on how the piercing will heal, but so far so good. Masks were required, but I was not required to show proof of covid vaccination. I had my rook pierced twice on my right side in my teens, and both times it migrated and had to be removed.  15 years later I still love the look of rook piercings, so I went to Identity to see if I could possibly try it a third time and I had an AMAZING experience!   I was a walk-in, and was seen for a consultation very quickly, probably within 10 minutes of arriving.  Madeline was very thorough in examining my ear and answering all my questions.  She explained how she could change the placement to give it the best possible chance of success (and even gave me some other options that I could try if I wanted the look of the rook with pros and cons).  She went above and beyond in making sure I had all the information I needed to make a decision.  Despite how much I wanted it, I was still scared and needed some time to think about whether I wanted to go though with it.  While I was debating, Molly walked me through the jewelry options and helped me pick something at a price point I was comfortable with.   Even after all of that I was still scared to go through with it and needed some time to sit and think it through.  Molly and Madeline were very understanding and patient with my hesitation, I never felt rushed or blown off.  After I sat in the shop for about 10 minutes to psych myself up, I decided to go for it.  I waited another maybe 10 minutes for my turn and got called back.  The process was fast and Madeline explained everything she was doing so I'd be comfortable.  The piercing itself was not as painful as I was expecting (more of a pressure than pain), and was over quickly.  I absolutely LOVE how it turned out, the placement is perfect and I love how the jewelry looks.  One last note on cleanliness, everything was very clean and I saw them sanitizing between customers.  Everyone was in masks and I felt like they were taking all possible precautions given the current situation.  I couldn't be happier with my experience at Identity and my new piercing,  hopefully the third time will be the charm for my rook! read more
