I wasn't sure what to expect as this was my first such (gold sale) transaction. I found the owner to be very professional. He made the appraisal/sales process very transparent and fair. I can highly recommend Joe and Chicago Golf Gallery! read more

Very professional and kind. I always feel confident with their appraisal and cash offer. Highly recommended!

In my experience....they give serious salesmen patter..."oh I ,shouldnt give you this price but...." Then....all said and done, they still give pretty decent prices for metal by weight compared to others downtown and in Glenview, IL. read more

Easy To Work With, Fair and Honest! We had a bag full of old coins from an inheritance, Joe went through them all with. He helped identify what made some valuable and others just interesting but only face value. He purchased the ones we didn't have any emotional ties to, at a fair price. It was easy to contact them and set up an appointment on Wednesday. (Saturday was another option) Everything went smoothly. I'm glad we chose them. read more

I was pleased to work with Chrissy on selling some gold pieces. The pricing was fair, and she was friendly and informative throughout the transaction. In this volatile precious metals market, I was pleased with the outcome of this transaction. read more

Have never had any dealings with a pawn shop. Did not know what to expect. All the workers were professional and most helpful. And I was treated fairly and given a very good price for the Jewelry. In addition, if you are looking to buy, they have some nice things and very well displayed. Highly highly recommend. read more

I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend working with Chrissy Pierski. She has so much experience and knowledge, not to mention an abundance of patience. I brought in a significant amount of jewelry to determine what was real and the value. She made the entire process very smooth. I'm so grateful. read more

Chicago Gold is the Best. Chrissy pays the highest for gold and diamonds. Professional and honest. Highly recommend.

My wife and I had some silver coins and gold jewelry that had simply been taking up space in our home for years, and we wanted to see if there would be any value in cashing them in. With no idea how to choose a jewelry/precious metal buyer, we decided to trust Yelp and Google reviews. What a great decision that turned out to be. Chicago Gold Gallery had over-the-top great reviews, and now it's my pleasure to add yet another 5-star review here on Yelp. I called CGG on a Monday and wound up speaking to Christina. She was friendly, asked us what we had for evaluation, and upon hearing about the items, she recommended we come in the following Wednesday to work with her father, Joe. We did that. And however strange it sounds, we actually had a fun time dealing with Joe. We sat down across a desk from Joe and immediately felt comfortable with him. He is simply a gentleman, and his honesty and integrity were immediately apparent to us. He explained everything about what he was doing as he examined our items, weighed them, sorted them, and finally suggested amounts for everything. In the course of our visit, we also discussed Joe's history as a musician, and the many years he's been doing business as CGG. It was like sitting down and enjoying time with an old friend. We were totally happy and pleased with our experience with CGG. I have no problem assuming that I could not possibly have done better with any other dealer, and I certainly have no problem whatsoever recommending CGG as a 5-star jewelry and precious metal dealer. read more

We decided it was time to part with our 12-piece (+ serving pieces) sterling silver set from our wedding 52 years ago as well as miscellaneous other pieces. It was barely used. Christine did an excellent job in explaining the procedure and gave us a fair price. She also checked pieces that turned out to be silver-plate and turned down taking a watch because the price she could pay based on scrap value was so far below what it is worth. She even sent photos of it to another dealer to see if he were interested! Highly recommended! read more

today was my first time at Chicago Gold Gallery and I was delighted with the experience. Christine was professional, kind, a very helpful. I feel I got a good price for things I sold and good advice for jewelry that would best be sold on another venue. I highly recommend their services. read more

I brought a number of pieces of gold jewelry from my mother's estate. No real value as jewelry but Christine went through it all, told me what it was, weighed it, and valued it. A few pieces that I thought were silver she identified as white gold ! I also brought in a 12 piece sterling flatware set. Same process. I was really happy with the results and felt it very fair. Christine is great, easy to chat with and ask questions, charming, and professional. A great experience. I would definitely recommend Chicago Gold Gallery read more

I had some of my late mother's jewelry that I had decided to part with and after doing some research I found Chicago Gold Gallery. Wonderful service had a great time and they were very patient. All around a great experience

This place is amazing. The staff is so knowledgeable and fare. I actually have gone to them to checkout some old coins i had and not only did i get to meet and work with the owners daughter but on my second visit several months later got to meet her father who was equally as great to meet. I did decide to work with them in exchanging the coins as well as reviewing a few of my personal pieces. I would 100% recommend anyone that perhaps may have old coins or pieces to consider coming here. They were not only professional but also made me feel comfortable letting go of my old pieces knowing they were moving on with people that had an appreciation for them. Thank you read more

Can't speak highly enough about this shop and my experience there. I called inquiring about the value of some silver coins and bars I was looking to sell, and I was given a fair and honest quote right off the bat without having to step a foot inside. After receiving the quote I drove over and the process couldn't have been easier; I was in and out within minutes. Christine was a pleasure to deal with and I will be sure to come back the next time I'm looking to sell any precious metals or jewelry. Highly recommend! read more

This place is the best gold, silver, coin, and watch buyer in Chicago!! December 2021, after shopping my items on "Jewelers row", rare coin collectors in the loop, I took gold coins and jewelry to be evaluated for sale. I assure you, this place will offer you more than any other shop in Chicago! Joe has owned and operated this family business for 41 years. Together, with his daughter Christine, Chicago Gold Gallery is a five star, first class experience. They are incredibly knowledgeable, well organized, so accommodating and customer friendly. They want a win/win and will make offers on your items that are fair, backed by Joe's research and carefully evaluated which gives you a higher value than other exchange shops. I can't say enough about Joe, Christine at Chicago Gold Gallery. You won't be disappointed! Go there!! read more

Waited on the pawn side for 10 minutes, knocked on window/door as instructed. No one came out although I could hear people talking. (Having read the response, I'm relieved we didn't meet up given my rudeness rushing out of the shop & speeding away lol; no one came out of the store! And it's Monday btw) read more

I called and spoke to Joe before I came to his shop. He was very personable and knowledgeable. When I arrived, he immediately put me at ease and not only bought my damaged jewelry for top dollar, but also told me what kinds of coins to look for in my new journey as a coin collector. I encourage anyone to go to his shop who may want to sell or purchase coins and/or gold and silver because you will be treated kindly and fairly. Linda A. read more

I could not have been more satisfied. Chrissy was friendly, patient and fair. I had gone to several other places and the price she offered was, or course, better than theirs but i was convince that unlike them, she was not looking to offer a low price so that I might have to negotiate. She also took the time to explain how this market works. read more

Worked with Christina and she is very nice and talks you through the entire process showing how she makes her calculations.

I was trying to figure out what to do with some jewelry that I inherited. I have never sold jewelry before and wanted to be treated fairly. Chicago Gold Gallery had the best reviews so I decided to start there. I'm so glad I did! It was a much better experience than I anticipated. They were professional and even advised me to sell a couple of pieces on my own so I'd get the most money possible. Dealing with an estate can be overwhelming, so I found this advice to be extremely genuine and helpful. I won't hesitate to go there again for advice with my valuables. read more

I was completely new to the process of selling jewelry. I did what most people do, asked friends and asked Google. The name Chicago Gold kept coming up so I called. I was impressed with the time Joe spent with me on the phone. Then, I did my research , I went to several places locally and tried selling on line . It was a disappointing process. I finally decided to drive into the city to Chicago Gold. Not only did he give me top dollar but I was reassured by his honesty and no pressure approach. I was very please with the transaction . It was well worth the drive. Next time I will go there 1st. read more

My first visit - based on Yelp Reviews - and I'm glad I went. Very pleasant service from Joe and cash for my gold jewelry. I'll definitely return! read more

Very abrupt, rude and curt service. The prices offered were clearly only to benefit themselves and never showed any interest in giving the customer a good deal. It was disappointing to see being racially profiled entirely based on looks and not on reality. I would never ever consider going back here, especially when there are thousands of other options in Chicago. read more

I had some gold jewelry sitting around that I figured was time to sell. After a good bit of researching online I landed on Chicago Gold Gallery as the place to go. (They also have an A+ rating with the BBB.) I popped in Saturday afternoon and was promptly greeted and taken care of. Two pieces I brought in we're not real gold and he was quick to identify them while thoroughly looking at every other piece for the karat marker or doing scratch tests. (I brought in a variety of gold pieces, two silver necklaces, and a pearl necklace. They buy more than just gold!) After about 15 minutes I was on my way out with a heftier than I expected check. My entire experience was wonderfully pleasant and I will absolutely return when I have more items to sell! read more
