Stay away from this place if you are a customer they'll do anything to earn your business, they'll sell you a cheap diamond. ring and will appraise it triple the price once you want to upgrade or sell it back to them. they will tell you it's not worth anything and they won't even have the cash to buy it from you. I was so disappointed from them. My whole family been buying diamonds from them for years because they give away good prices, but I found out recently come to sell that ring. It's worth nothing they won't even buy their own diamond back for half the price because they know it's crap. lesson learn please stay away. read more

Such an exceptional and stress-free diamond buying experience. Iliana is fantastic. KUDOS to this wonderful establishment.

My husband bought my engagement ring here 2 years ago and I bought my wedding ring here last year. I remember being confused about why the casting for my wedding band took so long (like 2 months) but chalked it up to them being perfectionists because my ring was beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Almost exactly a year from my wedding, I removed my rings to play golf and noticed a profound crack in my wedding band (see photo). It's cracked in two places, causing a piece to kind of stick out. I brought it into a local jeweler (since I've moved away from Chicago) and they said it was a clear-cut example of "brittle casting." They said in 40 years, they've never seen this happen with platinum. The ring needs to be COMPLETELY REMADE in order to prevent further cracks. Luckily, I have great insurance (Jewelers Mutual) and I think all of this will be covered. I'm stunned that this happened and nervous about my engagement ring now. Overall, very disappointed with Diamonds on Wabash. read more

First off, they have the BEST staff you could ask for. The owner and her employees did an unbelievable job with my engagement ring. It's an honest jewelry store that is willing to go the extra mile to make its customers happy. So glad I found my way to diamonds on wabash! Looking forward to the next purchase! read more

Had an incredible experience with JoAnna. Upgraded my wedding ring for our 20th anniversary and am giddy. JoAnna was so professional and no pressure. Listened to me and helped design the custom ring of my dreams, while also coming in under budget. This is the only jeweler I will ever go to in this city. My husband and I purchased our wedding jewelry from Sylvia and Ileana at Diamonds on Wabash and have become loyal customers ever since. They have the most beautiful selection and impeccable customer service. I love visiting the store as the girls are always kind enough to give my engagement ring/band a nice steam clean. I have had beautiful custom jewelry made by them and they were also helpful with sizing a bracelet that was too large for me. I recommend their establishment to all of my friends and now to all of you Yelpers. =) Happy shopping! read more

I highly recommend Diamonds on Wabash, specifically Iliana. When we were engagement ring shopping, this was the only store that had designs that I liked. (I was only looking at halo designs with a round center diamond.) Not to mention, they are extremely negotiable, will match competitors' prices, and will resize/clean/detail for free. Iliana was wonderful to work with. (We had not-so-good experiences with the other ladies at this store.) Iliana was never pushy, remembered our names each time we came back, and we always felt that we could trust her. We loved working with her so much that we decided to get both our wedding bands from Diamonds on Wabash as well. read more

Diamonds on Wabash is great! They were able to custom-make my fiancee's engagement ring. Sylvia worked with me despite me having no idea what I was doing. They're very frank and don't try to hoodwink you. So go to Diamonds on Wabash, and ask for Sylvia. read more

Went in to purchase diamond earrings. At the time, (and currently) Diamonds on Wabash was running the following promotion at the top of their Yelp page (which I printed out and took into the store with me): "Announcement Just came back from a buying trip.Come in and see whats new and recieve 25% off of retail. excludes chamilia charms." She quoted me a price, but when I asked about the discount, she said it didn't apply. She first said that the ad was old, but then she back-tracked and said she already discounts diamonds, so she couldn't add an additional discount. She said she was in the middle of a sea of jewelers, so if she didn't provide rock-bottom prices, she would get undercut. You would have thought that for a store called "Diamonds on Wabash," the Yelp ad would have mentioned that the discount doesn't apply to diamonds. So, I took her up on her offer and went next door (literally) to a place called CA Jewelers. They immediately offered me the same size earrings for 12% less. I realize diamonds vary in other measures, such as quality, but Diamonds on Wabash had already quoted me for their lowest quality diamonds, saying you couldn't tell the difference between the two anyway. Diamonds on Wabash was otherwise helpful and the employee was nice, but the use of the "rope-a-dope" Yelp ad was off-putting. Also, I just couldn't justify paying more for the same product. read more

LOVE LOVE Diamonds on Wabash. A beautiful job resizing and cleaning some olded rings. Love my new pinky ring set. Thanks Sylvia! read more

I cannot say enough great things about Iliana and Sylvia. They are extremely friendly, customer-focused and have never been too salesy or pushy. I first met them in 2012 and have always been treated like family no matter how much time had passed since I last saw them. Iliana spent a great deal of time helping me design my ring this year and her knowledge, honesty and transparency made the entire process truly enjoyable. I highly recommend Diamonds on Wabash if you are looking for a quality product and great experience. read more

My fiancé purchased my engagement ring from DOW a few months ago. Prior to, we went together to check out rings. Joanna was wonderful and incredibly helpful. She was never pushy and helped find my perfect ring. I ended up with a unique style very different than planned, and I couldn't be happier about it. We will be coming back in the future for any jewelry needs including my wedding band. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Diamonds on Wabash! I stopped in at a few places on Jewelers Row but it was hard to decide which store to go with because they all quoted similar prices and many have good reviews on Yelp. I ended up deciding on Diamonds on Wabash because of the relaxed atmosphere, well-curated collection, friendly all-female staff, and their responsiveness to my questions via email. My husband I had our rings custom made. They did a wonderful job taking our budget into account and accommodating our desire to avoid diamonds, despite the fact that "diamonds" is in their title! They made a gorgeous rose gold morganite ring for me, accented by white sapphires, and a matching rose gold band. For my husband they made a white gold ring with exterior border accents. The entire process took about 3-4 weeks but we weren't in any hurry. So happy with my experience! read more

GO HERE. Friendly, knowledgable and engaging group. We purchased engagement ring + wedding bands here and are extremely pleased with all three. Also has capacity to work with really sensitive stones (opals) - sized my great-grandmother's ring perfectly and at a reasonable rate. Return customer for sure. read more

I had a custom ring made and it was not a pleasant experience. The way they conducted themselves throughout the entire process was reminiscent of a "fly by night" operation. There is a clear lack of concern for the customer and their needs. Communication is nowhere to be found, which is crucial when you are investing so much, both emotionally and monetarily. read more

AMAZING service!!!!! I had a very small budget that we were easily able to work with. The ladies were eager to help me and thought my story was sweet. :) I went to other stores and they didn't seem all that interested in helping me. When I walked in the door, they made me feel like I had 100k to spend! HIGHLY recommended, my other half and I will be using them from now on, especially since we HATE chain stores and prefer to support local businesses. Their prices are also incredibly reasonable and will happily rework pieces to fit your budget and style. read more

My fiance and I went there last night and only had an hour to find our wedding bands, which we didn't think was possible. We went to Diamonds on Wabash and Iliana was right there to help us. She was SO kind and didn't try to show us anything that was out of our price range. She was so patient, even though they were closing in a half-hour, and I walked out that night with 2 bands! My fiance found one he loves and ordered it. We got three rings for an amazing price and had such a great experience! We love Iliana and will go back to her for every jewelry purchase from now on! read more

After going to all the jewelers on Wabash. Diamonds on Wabash staff is great. They were warm and confident they had what I needed. They also exceeded my expectations. Blew my mind. Price and quality you can't beat. Great All Around. Had me excited and proud about my purchase read more

I bought a perfect engagement ring from here. Sylvia is phenomenal to work with. When I first went in she was extremely helpful and taught me what to look for in a ring without being "salesy". Unfortunately, my fiancé had a diamond fall out of her ring but Sylvia was there to save the day and repaired and replaced the stone free of charge. I could not recommend a better place to go! read more

Our youngest child turned one last week. In my mind, that meant sleeping through the night, fewer bottles to wash, and putting gates on the stairs as our boy learned to crawl. As excited as we were for our third child entering his second year of life, it also meant that I was one year overdue for my wife's 'push' present. I embraced the 21st century custom of giving her presents for our first two children, but I became distracted when our third child was born. Fortunately, Joanna at Diamonds on Wabash was ready to help. I discovered the store on Yelp. With numerous five star reviews, it was worth the walk over to the store. I explained to Joanna that I was looking for a ring for my wife. Joanna listened carefully to my needs and explained that if I came back the next day she would have loose stones that I could choose from to make a custom ring. Joanna gave me a firm price and encouraged me to look at other stores to compare her pricing and selection. After leaving her store, I walked into two other stores and phoned four other stores describing exactly what Joanna had just priced out for me. Their prices were significantly higher and the salesmen were more aggressive pushing their product than Joanna. I returned the following day and examined the stones she had procured for me. Joanna showed me a wide selection of stones of various quality levels. She readily answered my questions and put my mind at ease with my purchase. I was never under any pressure to buy and she encouraged me to keep looking until I felt confident in my purchase. At one point, she talked me out of adding diamonds to the ring because they would take away from the main focus of the ring. I've never experienced a salesperson talk me out of spending more money. I told her that her pricing was much better than other jewelers. She explained that Diamonds on Wabash pricing is set to develop a relationship with their customers so they become repeat customers and not just one-time shoppers. Diamonds on Wabash had the custom ring ready in three days as promised. My wife was thrilled with the quality as well as my ability to give her a push present for our third child. Balance was restored in our home. Although, other dealers in the Jewelers Row were accommodating, Diamonds on Wabash's pricing and selection far surpassed their competition. We are done buying push presents, but I will be back to Diamonds on Wabash for all my jewelry needs in the future. read more

My fiance & I (mostly my fiance) had done quite a bit of looking before Diamonds on Wabash. Sylvia really helped us out and gave us a good deal as compared to the other diamond dealers we visited. I also didn't feel like we were getting taken. She has a very good personality that doesn't make you feel like you are buying a used car. read more

The customer service we have received here has been impeccable. It felt like we were dealing with family members or friends, not somebody trying to make a deal. My husband bought my engagement ring from here. We are currently living in a different state, so they sent him 3D drawings of rings. He said they were so patient and easy to work with, despite the pain of doing such a larger and important order remotely. We also bought our wedding rings from here. They let us use a promotional discount, even though it had expired by the time we got into town. They were very easy to work with for our wedding rings as well. After our wedding, I realized one of the prongs was loose on my ring. They fixed it within the hour for free, and gave us jewelry cleaner for free too. They even let us store our bags in the store, so we could easily get lunch while we waited. I am so glad we got our rings here instead of a chain jewelry store. We got great service , a great deal, and I'm always happier to support a local finally owned business. read more

I have a beautiful engagement ring with custom engraving, but I had not yet found a wedding band. My fiancée and I went up and down jewelry row looking at options, and Sylvia from Diamonds on Wabash was by far the most helpful salesperson in determining what would look best. Very professional, friendly and reliable service! The staff is very courteous. Iliana was my gemologist and assisted me throughout the process. I came in to get a ring resized and engraved. Upon inspection with a hand microscope, she found that one of the diamonds were chipped and had some scratches. They were able to repair it and had it cleaned and polished. It was pristine when I came to pick it up! The price was very reasonable as well. They are able to do service same day but Ive opted for next day pick up. Recommended! read more

I recently purchased an engagement ring this fall from Diamonds on Wabash and I couldn't believe how helpful Sylvia and the staff was. The whole process can be overwhelming and I was nervous of a jeweler trying to take advantage of me but at diamonds on wabash they worked to get me the exact stone and setting I was looking for well inside my price range. I had a good feeling when I went in there but just to be sure I went to several other places up and down jewelers row and what a difference it was at diamonds on wabash. Their prices, quality, and customer service weren't matched and not once did they pressure me. I recommend to anyone in the market for jewelry as I know we will definitely be heading back to get our wedding rings. Can't thank the staff enough for all their help! read more

Last summer I purchased an engagement ring from Diamonds on Wabash and I'm so happy I did. I worked with Sylvia and she was a Rockstar. She was very patient and very knowledgeable. I had one of my diamond rings reset here, and while the staff was very friendly about the whole process I wasn't super happy with the way my ring tuned out. I had the band reset and wanted a specific type of prong setting, which they said they could do but then called later to say they can't. And while the ring still looks good, the way they set the band to my diamond left a slight discoloration in the band (where i'm thinking they sautered it together). All in all, the ring looks fine. Again, just not super pleased. read more
