I had an overall positive experience with Gage, but would want to warn customers of a few things before going there. The appointments are very quick, no frills, and I had to do all of my own research. We left my second appointment with little to no information (didn't know my ring size, what ratio was, ideal clarity and color for the cut we chose, etc.), and were just told to select a stone and purchase the ring on their website. Unfortunately, my ring was also posted on their social media just days after my fiancé picked it up. During the checkout process, they have an option to add a "TikTok Video" when making the final purchase, which we deliberately did not add because my fiancé did not want the ring to be posted before he proposed. They also never asked him if they could post the ring. Based on our friends experiences with other jewelers, we thought it was reasonable to assume an engagement jeweler would wait to post until after the proposal. They posted without asking, and of course, our friends and I saw it on their socials. We definitely felt like "just a number" when it came to those parts of the process. Besides that, everything was great. During the design process, Frankie was very responsive and helpful, and the ring turned out beautifully. I love how customizable their rings are, and the customer service after we'd selected a diamond was great. I am definitely happy with the outcome, but would just make sure my friends have done their own independent research ahead of their appointment, and are very clear with Gage about social media expectations ahead of time. read more

Unfortunately, Gage does a terrible job with taking accountability when they post custom made engagement rings before a proposal. It's easy to assume that an engagement isn't happening the day a ring is picked up and they can ask if a date has been planned so that they can pre-schedule a post. And honestly, stop blaming it on being a small business when you have over almost 200,000 followers combined on social media read more

I was approved for credit with this company. I spent days picking out the right ring. The right stone, the right setting I signed all the contracts all the agreements as they sent me a email saying, you approved days later after talking to this person for days upon days. She cowardly sent me an email saying that I could not be financed. I have to have missed many opportunities to buy nice rings. I put my trust in this company and they screwed me. They put me in a bad situation. I have a whole proposal. Set up a date in everything. Now. I don't even have a ring for that date. Thanks to them so don't do business with them, they're shady. They're cowards, they couldn't even call me. They sent me an email disrespectful read more

5 star company to work with - excellent selection of natural and lab-grown diamonds with great financing deals. 5 stars, A+

I am absolutely appalled at the service I received from Gage. I was working with their director of sales the last few weeks (Frankie), who is in all the TikTok promotions. While working together I paid a memo to view two diamonds in person, and received the confirmation details However, due to tariffs Frankie then came back stating that they cannot honor their terms, and the only way to proceed would be for my to buy the stone outright without viewing. In addition, I would not be allowed to return Granted, I work in the supply chain industry and monitor the tariff regulations on a daily basis, which were given a 90 day extension I simply expressed my concern stating I felt that is not right, and would have no problem purchasing the stone I want to view, but if it is not what it seems, then I have the right to return From there, I received an email from their COO (David McCoy) informing me that they have reimbursed my memo, and will not be working with me As you can imagine, I was extremely taken back that the incompetent leaders at Gage would make a mistake, and then send me this email at 6pm when they close, ultimately running from the situation. I just want to bring to light at how this un-trustworthy place operates, so nobody had to experience what I went just went through moments ago read more

Thank you to Frankie for the excellent service, she was very patient, professional and took wonderful care of me. She is the reason why I am giving this place 2 stars (instead of 0). The 3 stars are deducted from what COULD have been a 5 star review is all thanks to the short blonde hair gal that was extremely rude because I was a few minutes late due to going to their old location in the building (2nd floor) without NOTICE that they moved one floor up. Next time you should place a SIGN on the door indicating the change and UPDATE the elevator button that says "2nd floor- Gage Jewelers" before being rude to customers for not being psychics. read more

All around great experience!! We set an appointment and received great service from Frankie. You can tell she really knew her stuff. Gage was the only location that had EXACTLY what my fiancé wanted. She gets outstanding compliments and says how much she loves it often. Thank you for making the whole process so seamless. I confidently recommend Gage for everyone. Cheers! read more

I am giving 2 stars only bc they are giving me my money back. From day one communication with Gage and Lendfirm was poor and has been even worse since I have had an issue. We received the ring 02/27. I wore it for pictures 02/28 and did not put it on again until 03/06 when I returned to work. I wore it 4 days only while at work and took it off in the evenings. On 03/09 the center stone came out of the ring and we noticed an accent stone missing on the bezel. I attempted to call Gage twice that day I could not even leave a message bc the mailbox was full. No phone call to apologize for the inconvenience. No explanation as to why this would happen, what would cause the metal to be that weak. We were even told while the ring was being made the jeweler needed extra time to ensure the quality of the ring b/c it was not going to ship by the date they had given us. I feel the jeweler knew there was an issue and rather than calling to explain they made it and hoped for the best. Sadly they were a disappointment after all the stellar reviews. They are super nice while you are in the process of buying and building, but once the sale is complete don't expect anything. They are pretty much done with you. read more

Great service and felt so welcome there. Just love my ring beyond any words. GAGE IS THE BEST!

I am absolutely thrilled with my new wedding ring! I looked at rings both online and in various jewelry stores for the last 6 months. I came across Gage diamonds online and after viewing some of their beautiful rings, I decided on a 1.7 carat cushion cut in a Gabriel & Co. ring. I was so nervous waiting for it to arrive, I was worried about quality or the clarity of the stone, the quality of the ring itself etc. I was surprised by how quickly it was shipped to me and when it arrived I was blown away by the beauty and quality of my new ring. I cannot thank Gage diamonds enough. I will definitely be shopping here for all my future diamond purchases! read more

I purchase a ring. It is beautiful. I fully understand that this company does lab grown diamonds. I had the ring looked at and i am being told the stones aren't even lab grown diamonds they are moissanite. The company insist that this is incorrect but refuse to look at the ring that they sent me!!! read more

Ordered 2 watches July of 2022. (BTW just reporting now as I had to travel out of country for work, now returned) Received empty boxes on arrival via FedEx. Emailed company of the issue, and they just gave me the run around instead of providing replacement watches. Back and forth email chain of at least 10+ messages. Ending with me following up 3 separate times with no response. Last advice they gave me was to file a complaint with Fedex which I did. Fedex advised they have a contract with this business and all complaints must come from them, not a customer. I let them know that and they then asked for my case number I filed (again just to delay, maybe they thought I was kidding about filing) Then that was last message, me providing case number and a screenshot. After that is when I sent 3 more follow ups. Nothing. No response. No more action from their end, which is not right and ridiculous. Please help and thank you. read more

I had the best experience at Gage compared to any jewelry store I've been to. I was there to pick out a XMas gift for my wife and called in advance with ideas from their website. When I arrived they had samples out and ready for me to review. The service was great and they gave me as much time as I needed. The selections were everything I had asked for. I will buy from Gage for every jewelry need in the future. read more

The staff was exceptionally patient teaching us about ring construction and diamond selection. At no point did they try to oversell us and break our budget, but they do have good financing options to comfortably stretch your budget : ) With their help my fiance designed the perfect square cut emerald diamond engagement ring. I put in a order to receive a engagement and they told me it was going to be ready on a specific day and it wasn't ready. So day basically told me a lie and messed up all of my plans. And now I can't get anyone on the phone. Horrible. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

I can't tell everyone enough the best service I've ever received from a business. I had been searching for quite some time for the perfect engagement ring for my girlfriend. Went to all the regular places like Jerod, Kay and online ones like Blue Nile. Nothing really caught my eye. 2 weeks before our trip to Playa Del Carmen, I had decided that I wouldn't be able to find the right ring, so the planned proposal wasn't going to happen. Then I came across Gage Diamond and visited their website. I was kind of skeptical about doing all this online, but per the other reviews I gave it a shot. The actual designing and customization of the ring was very very simple and easy. I picked out the setting, picked out the diamonds and placed my order. the very next day, I received a call from Fan, one of the directors and she informed me that unfortunately the diamond that I had ordered was sold, but there was a similar diamond of even better quality and much bigger that they had that was better, free upgrade. No arguing there from me. She gave me the timeline of when the ring would be ready. It was going to arrive after our trip, so I asked if there was any way possible to do a rush on the order, explaining what I wanted to do on our trip. Fan called me the next day and said that yes, she spoke with their jeweler and they would be able to expedite it and that they would have to overnight it to me so I would be able to get it on time. The diamond upgrade was free, the rush order was free, the only extra was the overnight delivery fee, which was understandable. I even accidentally added two overnight shipment charges and they refunded me one right away. During the whole process between Fan and Chasity, they kept me informed of the progress and when it was going to be shipped. The ring arrived on time, it was beautiful and I was able to propose on our trip. It made for the perfect setting, candlelit beachside proposal, and she said yes. Thank you Gage Diamonds and your entire staff for being a part of all of this. read more

I recently had the good fortune to find Gage Diamonds while searching for the perfect engagement ring. From the very beginning, I was highly impressed by their impeccable attention to detail and phenomenal communication. Customer service is one of my biggest pet peeves, and I consider myself a bit difficult to impress. That being said, the amazing service and genuine interest in making everything absolutely perfect that I experienced while working with Jenna and her colleagues was truly remarkable. Kudos to this exemplary business! You made a tremendous positive impact at a very memorable and special time in my life, and I will be forever thankful. read more

I found this place online. I was searching for an engagement ring & they looked like they had a nice selection. I'm a bit hesitant about sending big loads of money to an internet company but I discovered that Gage Diamonds is in the heart of Chicago. So I went to visit them. Their showroom was sleek & clean. The owner, Dustin, took care of me. I bought a certified diamond engagement ring & my fiancé loves it. I'm very happy & will go back for the wedding bands read more

Awful experience at Gage Diamonds. We came in to find wedding bands that would go together with my existing engagement ring, that we got on Place Vendôme in Paris (where the most reputable jewelers of Paris are located). It was my dream engagement ring and my fiancé went out of his way to have it shipped to Chicago. Well, when I showed it to the jeweler, she started by "Oh interesting. Emerald. I would never get emerald for an engagement ring, it's too fragile. I guess you can never wear it outside, only in your apartment." First of all, that isn't true, and it was quite rude to say about an existing ring that I was proudly showing her. She never even said it's pretty or anything. Then, she asks me to take it off so she can see it more closely. She notices that there is a small engraving on the outside of the ring. She grins and says "oh wow I guess they must have different standards than we do to put it there. We would never do this." Um, okay, we only got this beautiful ring at one of the best jewelers in Paris. Then, I ask where their diamonds are from. She tells me they are all ethical, all are from Belgium exclusively. I am Belgian, from Brussels. None of the diamonds in Belgium are FROM Belgium, they are mostly from Africa. They just buy them from Belgium (Antwerp). I bet they don't even know where they are from originally. It was just a terrible experience with a terrible, rude jeweler. My fiancé was so sad that she shat all over the engagement ring he got me that I love so very much. read more

YES ALL THE WAY!! I mean this company is just absolutely a breath of fresh air! It has been far too long since I have received superb customer service like I did when dealing with Gage Diamonds. I am on the west coast and I purchased the absolutely perfect engagement ring for my wife, and she literally could not have wanted anything else more. It could not have been more perfect in any and every way. Well about two weeks before our wedding we needed help with her ring, and Gage Diamonds was more than willing, and did everything possible to assist us in getting us the help and getting our ring back to us with plenty of time to spare for our wedding. Now the catch here is I was outside of my warranty period. They had 100% right to say no, and tell me they couldn't help because I am outside of my warranty, but they did not do that. Instead, like I said they went above and beyond to help us and get us all fixed up and ready for our wedding. I can not express enough my gratitude for this great company. I hope you choose to work with these great people I am sure you will not ever be disappointed, I know I sure was not!! read more

Buyer beware. I purchased a round cut ring from their website (listed as round cut on receipt and Ad). When I get ring I find out it a square princess cut. The Gia certificate listed as a square cut too. I brought this to attention of sale associate who said it was a mistake. I wasted so much time dealing with this place and they made no mention of making it right. I am returning the ring and I will not do business with them again. read more

I decided I wanted to update my engagement ring setting, but was uncertain about making a change to something that I treasured. I was also concerned that it may offend my husband, who had selected my ring on his own almost twenty years ago--and had managed to pick the perfect cut and design for me. Luckily, my husband understood, and also wanted a new band for himself. We decided to visit Gage Diamonds together, and are so glad that we did! The showroom is stunning, and the selection is sophisticated, yet not intimidating. We met with Dustin, who was welcoming and attentive--and made us feel immediately comfortable. Dustin is incredibly knowledgeable and has an exceptional instinct about people. He was sensitive to my ambivalence, and guided us with confidence, thoughtfulness, and respect. He suggested a custom setting for my diamond that was something I had never seen before, and I instantly knew it was precisely what I wanted. Dustin could sense that I was hesitant to give up my existing ring, and offered to clean and polish the ring and replace the diamond with a cubic zirconia, so I could have both. What a great idea! My husband was able to quickly choose a band that made him happy. So, a very successful venture. I received my ring today, and I was speechless. It is gorgeous! My husband and I are both thrilled. I cannot thank Dustin and Gage Diamonds enough for an extraordinary experience. read more

Gage Diamonds has hands down the best customer service. I went to Jared, Kay, Zales, Sharif and Shane Co. They all offered inferior rings and diamonds for outrageous prices. The customer service at these places were also sub-par. I used the 50/50 pay service, it was quick and easy. I was amazed at the 0% interest and also that they offered certified GIA diamonds and designer engagement rings. Most places that help you finance will sell you a $500 ring for $2000 but not Gage Diamonds. Chasity helped me throughout the purchasing process. I ordered the wrong size ring but it was no problem to get it adjusted. FedEx took a few days to ship it out but Chasity called FedEx herself to make sure that they shipped it. She was extremely helpful and answered any questions I had. Thanks for everything Gage Diamonds! read more

I don't write many yelp reviews, but wanted to make sure I did for Gage Diamonds because of how awesome my experience was. I went to at least 5 other jewelers to look for the right diamond but couldn't find anywhere I was happy with until I went to Gage. I spoke with Fan to set up an appointment and could tell right away she was very helpful. Fan took time to figure out what I wanted and the gave me options within my price range. The ring turned out amazing and my fiance is thrilled. The ring was actually a little too big at first, so we brought it back to Gage who had it sized perfectly within 2 business days at no cost.
