Dropped my phone (iPhone 6+). Oh no! Yep. The screen was obliterated. I googled repair places nearby and found iColor. They were affordable, so it was worth the risk. What's the worst that could happen? My broken phone won't work? So, off to the mall I went and found the kiosk on the first floor at White Marsh mall. I had an appointment for 10, and the kiosk was staffed and the gentleman was ready. Dropped my phone off, and less than 15 minutes later, it was finished. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. I didn't even have time to finish my Orange Julius.(two citrus mentions in two sentences!) Seeing as I am posting this review from my phone, I assume all is working well. The screen brightness seems a bit lower, but it's not detrimental. Perhaps the glass they used is lightly smoked? Whatever... it works like a boss, and looks perfect. Calls work, all apps are accessible, volume and power buttons work, home button works. Nothing seems amiss. TLDR: affordable, great work, fast. read more

I have gotten the same screen replaced here twice, and it's about to be a third time. Not because I'm clumsy, but because their screens are defective. The first repair was for my severely broken screen. It wasn't until I got home that I noticed that part of the new screen jumped around if you touched it. Very very annoying and rendered certain apps unusable. I don't live close, so it took me a couple of weeks to get back down there for a replacement. The new screen now has some pixels that are out, which I didn't notice until the morning after, so now I'm going to have to go back and get a third replacement screen. To their credit, it's not the employees fault. All the guys that have helped me were very nice and did a quick job. Unfortunately, the products they are using to replace the screens are defective. They do offer the lifetime warranty, which has been incredibly useful in this whole ordeal, but the fact that I've had to use it twice already is maddening. 1 star for the product, 2 stars cause the guys are nice and it's not their fault. read more

Just called for warranty repair of cracked screen. Galaxy S5 was replaced at a cost of $210 two weeks ago. At the time, the screen fealt spongy, like the glass was thin, but it worked fine. Today, I looked at the phone and saw a hairline crack. I've been using the phone as normal and didn't expect this. Called the mall guy and learned very quickly why I should have heeded the other bad reviews. I was told I should have brought the phone back right away if I noticed the screen was flimsy. I told him I trusted his repair and his parts and since it worked AND I was told as long as you don't drop the phone or damage it thru negligence, the repair is covered for a lifetime, so I didn't think about it again. I picked the phone up and the screen was cracked so I thought he would repair it. He argued that I damaged it and I argued that I didn't. His word against mine. It was at this point I asked if there was a main number to call and he said no, we are all franchises. Ah ha! Now I get it! He is the owner! If he agrees to the repair, it comes out of his pocket! He said he could help me with a new screen, but I'd have to pay. Yeah, great help. I asked how much of a break he'd give me. He said $189. (Not helpful!) I said I guess I'll just have to write a review of the bait and switch that just happened. He replied, "oh, so now your gonna write a bad review, so now I don't feel like helping at all..." I learned the hard way, but I'm able to warn others. DO NOT GET YOUR PHONE REPAIRED AT THE WHITE MARSH MALL I COLOR!!! YOU WILL BE PROMISED THE WORLD! YOU WON'T COLLECT ON THAT PROMISE! Paul was extremely friendly and helpful. I was in and out in only 15-20 minutes (though I think he was able to replace the broken screen on my iPhone 5s in less time than that). The new screen is fantastic, and he made sure that I played around with the phone a little while before I left, just in case it didn't work and he needed to correct it. But everything was perfect. Dont risk your device here! I brought in my phone to have the battery replaced and they either installed it improperly or gave me a defective battery. When I returned to have it fixed they told me it was a software issue and sent me away to install new software. Since the battery didn't work, the software installation crashed my phone. I took my phone to a different store and they immediately knew what was wrong. They installed a new battery and restored the software in my phone. Sadly, I lost all of the data and pictures in my phone. I returned the defective battery to iColor and they refused to refund my money since it was "under warranty" and I did not get pre-authorization. Don't go here! read more

I went to get two screens fixed on two different iPhones and a week later the screen started falling off of my phone which cause my touch screen to not respond like it should..I can't go to the Apple Store because they said it's not a normal screen on my phone they can't do anything with it..screw this place read more

I have an iPhone 5s and had cracked my phone screen so I chose to get it fixed at the iColor kiosk in white marsh mall. They charged me $100 plus tax and the repair was fairly quick. After I had gotten home, I had noticed that the top left and bottom left parts of my screen were slightly unresponsive, but not too bad. A few days later I noticed a small crack at the top of my screen. I had not dropped my phone or anything so I had no idea how it had gotten there. The next day, I dropped my phone a couple feet from the ground on the carpet and to my surprise, another crack formed. Before initially cracking my phone, I had no case on my phone and would drop it often and it had never cracked until I dropped it pretty hard on cement, so I was left to believe that they had installed my phone improperly and that is why is was cracking so easily (another cracked formed shortly after the fact). I brought my phone back to iColor with my receipt and Paul said there was nothing he could do about it because cracking the screen voided my warranty. He gave me the email of the owner, and I emailed him explaining my issue hoping to be compensated, and weeks later, I still have not gotten a reply. I am certain that the cracks in my phone are due to a faulty screen or faulty installation and the unresponsive parts of my screen have gotten even worse and iColor has done nothing for me to resolve the issue. I have talked to a couple other people who have had their phones fixed at iColor and they have had problems as well. Bottom line: DON'T TAKE YOUR PHONE TO ICOLOR read more

Save yourself the time and money and do not go here! The technicians do NOT know what they are doing and I highly suspect they use defective parts for their repairs. I had heard a few bad things about this place but really needed a quick fix to replace the screen on my phone. No sooner do I get out to my car and realize therre is a hairrline crack in the displat I had just paid $115 for them to fix. I had things to do so figured ok, it's warranteed I'll have to bring it back tommorrow. So I bring the phone back and it is a different dude at the kiosk, I explain the dilemma and he accuses me of dropping my phone he won't fix it. So that was $115 down the drain.I think what happened was when they replaced it they screwed the face on too tight. There was also a "Spot" behind the LCD display and when I pointed that out to the guy he is like "I wouldn't worry about that." For $115??? Yeah I worry about it! Don't do itt you will be sorry. Ther is a kiosk in Towson Town Center THEY know whatthey are doing. The drive is well worth it. read more
