I wrote a review a couple days back about everything being fried. When managers/owners reply to the reviews That's how you know they care about their customers, and want their business to succeed. I will be going back thank you. read more

Want to find the perfect place to celebrate your birthday? Ichibons is the place! No more than 6 people sang tonight at the restaurant. Jokes aside, the food is good and so is the service. If you're going with your kids, make sure to ask for a good chef that likes to entertain people with their tricks. read more

I was here several years ago and new to sushi. I think I have become accustomed to more variety and now Ichibon's isn't quite up to standards. Metal spoons for my miso limited roll choices. To much of a hassle to order off menu because it takes twice as long as usual. So this will be my last visit. Service is fine and the place is clean. It just doesn't meet my sushi/ sashimi needs. read more

First off, I understand that everyone is doing their best during COVID, so this review is not unreasonable. Ordered online, 30 min wait--ok. Went at appointed pickup time and sushi chefs were preparing the rolls at the time. Okay, there was a large dine in crowd and this could be expected. Portion sizes and presentation are great, packaging was good for transport. Bag was well stocked with sauces and utensils. Chicken fried rice was yummy and a large portion to feed 4-5 people. We ordered Kemah crunch roll, the Tokyo night roll, and the snow crab roll. Considering all three used premium ingredients, they were very underwhelming to eat. The presentation of each roll was beautiful and appetizing, but that was it. The rolls did not have much flavor or "wow" to offset being $15-20 each. read more

My food was great. Service was spot on. The chef was fun and welcoming. Food was delicious and hot. The place is very spacious.

I've been to two other Ichibon locations they're all great but this location in particular was my favorite the waiter and the chef were very good they definitely went above and beyond great attitude. And of course the food was amazing as always we got the Ichibon for two which I believe is a very good price for the amount of food you get. They where nice enough to change a few things on the order that we wanted. read more

We have 5 people and they had us there waiting for other people to come so we waited 10 minutes before we could order luckily no one took the spot. obviously not practicing social distancing. When I went to look at the menu the menu was covered with sauce meaning they don't clean the menus after use. But the food was good read more

I enjoyed the vegetable stir fry. Only complaint I have is the salad. As someone who does not eat meat and opts for vegan options and having said that I still get a salad with no warning that included crab meat. I did not enjoy it for that reason but other than that the vegetable dinner was delicious. I loved the vegetables they included and fried for me. At one point one of the other guest was a bit upset they didn't get any of the vegetables he prepared for me. They were as delicious as they looked and was pleasantly surprised with my dinner and happy. They could have told me the salad included meat as it was not stated in the menu. read more

My first time here...relied on recommendations from all that posted..I tried both the Tokyo night roll and Snow Crab Roll...and liked the Tokyo night roll better. I'm glad I tried this place out. Good food and great service. read more

Ichibon's - Top: Tokyo Night Roll; bottom: Snow Crab Roll - Japanese Near Me - Pasadena, Texas

Our favorite place in the entire Houston area! I love the Kemah location and Fairmont We always have great service, AlWAYS! Tokyo Knights and the salad are the best! Prices are reasonable and one of the reasons we keep coming back! We are regulars, and they know our order when we get our regular servers. Love it!!! We might be heading there for dinner in a bit read more

Ichibon's - Japanese Near Me - Pasadena, Texas

Went there for lunch on a Friday they said the wait was 10mis it took almost 20 to get seated by the time the food came my lunch was almost over, we also never got our drinks refilled. read more

Service was okay, but the food not so much. The lemonade was just horrible. It seemed like it was just water with pink coloring. The rice was decent but didn't have much flavor. The soy sauce helped me consume it. There's better options out there. Do not recommend Ichibon's. read more

Just got here for aunts bday and we couldnt be seated tell that one last bday guest shows up. I have never had a restraint make the bday person wait, so rude. read more

Great food, good ingredients, good service will definitely be back. It was great to find another good restaurant in the Pasadena area.

Best Sushi restaurant EVER! Best server is Tina. Best sushi chef is Chonga. Seriously large pieces & Amazing Hand rolls.

Always great to go! Great customer service, short wait time, entertaining chefs! Never has gotten our order wrong. Delicious, affordable and fun! We love it there and will always be back for more! Thanks Ichibon for always making it a great time! read more

Our steam table chef blew it... sloppy, skipped part of the show, didn't make the food correctly, teriyaki sauce in rice, collapsed volcano and still pushed the rings along with train. My mom, brother and I were at the end of the table and got a MUCH smaller portion of veggies than those earlier in the distribution chain. Food was riddled with pepper, my mom couldnt eat hers. Chef didn't do the rice toss, always fun. He said that he didn't have enough rice. Been going here for 8 years and it has definitely gone down hill!! It's a shame because this has been my family's celebration dinner of choice. It was my birthday. We won't be returning! read more

The food was very reasonably priced and very good. I'm not a huge sushi fan but am starting to like it more and more. I got the Salmon Skin rolls and the crab puffs and they were both really tasty. The service was fast and I think my whole meal before tax and tip was $7.50. It was very filling and it was my first time there and now I definitely would like to go back sometime soon. read more

Great service! Fast service. Our waiter( Chepe) was great and very helpful. He even help customize a vegetable fried sushi dish for us. The vegetable fried rice was amazing. I took away a star because they did not offer vegetable spring rolls. We will definitely be returning! read more

Only in town for 2- nights it was very nice to be at a Hibachi that hat late hours during the week. Customer service was excellent and the cooks where very entertaining with much skill. Food was delicious and prepared to what was ordered. Waiter had confused our ordered at first but the cook got it right. Definitely will return!! read more

This is a sushi place that Michael and Dwight would go to on an episode of The Office. Nothing too outstanding but consistently average. However, slightly above average since it's not in the city. Don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. read more

Ichibon has two sections the one that is a sit down and order with a waiter and then there is a side that will cook your food right in front of you and give you a fun show while doing so. The downfall to sitting in the section where they do that is because if you don't have a big party (I'm thinking that would be about 10 to fill one half of the table, it will be you and your date you want to impress after homecoming and then a lot of strangers sitting everyone else. However this food seems to be a lot more fresh and better than the other side. My parents and I went to the sit down and order side recently and it was AWFUL! The chicken meat was not fresh or good. My mom an I got the teriyaki chicken and had to spit out multiple times. The teriyaki chicken was dry, some pieces were fatty, and some pieces at the muscle that we couldn't chew through. read more

My kids love this place! They enjoy watching them cook. Customer service is great. And the Food is really good too! We try and go for birthdays, family of 6 can get quite expensive. read more

Nice friendly atmosphere. You can choose from hibachi, regular sit down or sushi bar. We had the hibachi the cook was entertaining. Food was mediocre. Fried rice was flavorless from all the hibachi places Bennihanna still the best. read more

Tried this location for the first time over the weekend and was very impressed! I ordered the combination bento box and everything was great including the miso soup and salad. My only complaints were that I ordered diet coke and got regular and the sushi roll that I got with the box was gross. However, I don't fault them on the roll, it was a Cajun crunch roll and thinking back on it the roll doesn't even sound good! I did try a piece of my girl friends California roll and it tasted great, so I'm positive it was just the Cajun crunch roll that sucked lol! Also, the interior is very nice as well. I thought it was a great Ichibon and also the closest to me, so I plan on dining there again and again. read more

We hit the happy hour special tonight, 3 hours of sushi and sake... wow.. delicious!!! We plan on making this a regular thing. The service was good, it got a little busy about 8pm so it wasn't as up close and personal as before but still good!! My friend and I will definitely go back, she raved about it and txt'd me when she got home about the fun she had, awesome casual date.. I really recommend showing up early for the happy hour. (sushi, rolls and drink specials) Convenient, if you show up before 8pm kind of intimate/quiet.... food is good and what would have cost us $175 at our usual spot ended up $60 here because of happy hour.. read more

This place was pretty terrible. Just about everything I asked for they were out of. The waiter was rude and acted like I was annoying him by asking for things they were out of (which I would have no way of knowing) then tried to argue with me that items on the menu that were clearly different (giant clam vs red clam, unagi vs anago) were the same thing. I finally just ordered a couple rolls. The fried crawfish roll was legitimately decent, the firecracker roll was pretty terrible. The salmon was bad quality, chewy, and smelled like bait. I didn't finish it because I was worried I would get food poisoning. read more

Great sushi in the area for a great price!!! We were there for sushi happy hour and the food was so good. I have not tried the hibachi but it was crowded and smelled amazing. I would recommend this place! read more

No stars. Service Suck! Got up and left. Will not be going back. They only had one other table and could not be bother to wait on us. The hostess came over and said I will get your drinks order.. Forget that. They never came. She keep looking at us and at waitresses. What a joke! No stars. One star for hostess trying. read more

This is probably my fav place to eat in Pasadena. The food is always delicious. I sometimes go in with just me and my 4 year old and she is a fan as well. They give her "kids chopsticks" which are just regular chopsticks with a sugar packet secured at the bottom with a rubber band. She eats everything on her plate with the chopsticks and really impresses everybody with her skills! She likes the teriyaki chicken and miso soup. I like everything! Their salads, soups, chicken, beef, & shrimp- you can't go wrong. My favorite sushi roll is the Philadelphia, but I've had many different ones and I have not had anything I don't enjoy. The prices are reasonable for the portions. Never had a problem with the service or wait times. Just a great place to eat with your family. read more

I love the shrimp tempura although I wish they gave more than just 3. It is an appetizer, but I eat it as the meal. I wasn't impressed with the sushi and the hibachi is too much. I get good hibachi for less at other places. The dinner salad is amazing with tempura and imitation crab!!! I come for the shrimp tempura and the salad. My friends enjoy the hibachi. read more

We love Ichibon! The food is great and all the staff is wonderful!! We always have great service whether it's the hibachi table or the bar. Gina is the best! read more

Blows Benihana's out of the water. Ask for Alex. Way more attentive to the kids and really plays the entire crowd... definitely going back.

Came for a late lunch w the bf and his family. 8 of us. Food was good but the chef we had at the hibachi table was great! Chef Thomas was funny and engaged with everyone in our group. The kids and adults enjoyed him. You could tell some of the other chefs were kinda boring. If we go back, we are going to ask for him! read more

This place is a joke. Way over priced. I don't know who's running this outfit? But I am never going back. I will stick with Benihana's. Now that's some good Japanese food. read more

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Completely understaffed and lacking time management. Waited over an hour to receive a meal. A MEAL NOT A SEAT. Had already waited 30 minutes to sit down. And nothing. Completely and utterly disappointing way to celebrate my fathers birthday. read more

First time at an ichibons. The hostess was very unfriendly. The grill chef was pretty good except he talked Spanish to the other people at the grill and pretty much ignored us (there were 4 of us and 6 of them). I thought it was kind of pricey for the quality if food but the rice was pretty good. The chicken had good flavor but was dry. I think ShoGuns is a bit better for my taste. read more

Very good for the price. I just wish that the specials had descriptions. Most times the wait staff doesn't know what exactly is in the rolls. read more

Excellent food and service! The rice, shrimp and chicken taste well. I highly recommend eating here!

I was there, about a month ago, for lunch and had a Bento Box. Taste less and did not taste fresh at all, I would be leery about try and sushi or sashimi. I will not be back and will not recommend this place at all. read more
