Took my brother and sister in law out for their birthday, it was their first time doing hibachi and they had an absolute blast. We went for lunch so the food was a lot less than dinner. We all got the chicken and steak combo we also had drinks and sushi which was really delicious. They sang happy birthday and got a fried ice cream. Also their first. They made their experience a memorable one until next time.

Still a great place to have dinner with the family. I personally hate the house salad (dressing is gross) that comes with almost everything and their tempura veggies (the choice of veggies they use + texture are gross) but everything is hella good! The service is always very good, the people/ staff are wonderful and really go the extra mile. For example, I order the Shrimp Katsu to change it up, it had been a while since i ordered from the menu & after i ordered i saw that what i wanted came with those nasty af tempura veggies and our server was able to quickly change it to grilled veggies. Soooooooooooo good. (What's up with the veggies, you ask?) i personally don't like fried bell peppers, tempura sweet potatoes & green bean are not my thing.

Ok experience. I love that the food comes out in small portions because it's hot and little to no waste. I love going out and love a clean pretty environment but they fell a little short on this part. Don't know exactly what it is but they have to do better with their tables and chairs, uncomfortable to me. BUT food was very good

happy hour. tbh sushi was bad. sushi rice had no vinegar, just dry rice

Was near Pasadena and needed some time to kill so I decided to come here for food. Came during happy hour and their menu seemed decent and cheap (yay!). I guess you can say the sushi I received directly reflected the price. I love California Rolls so I ordered a couple of them. The rice was really dry. I don't think there was any vinegar in the sushi rice. It was difficult to get through the many rolls I ordered. The spicy-mayo sauce tasted kind of off as well. The waitress and hostess were very friendly though.

It was a Saturday night and I was absolutely dying for some sushi. Two other places that claimed they had delivery actually didn't and it was getting late. I saw that this place was open until 10:30 pm and offered delivery as well. I thought I would give it one last shot before I gave up. I'm glad I tried them out! Though the prices are pretty steep, they did deliver to my home at around 10 pm (I had a 45 min wait time). And honestly, I didn't mind because where else could I get late night sushi? Everything was delicious! Since it was my first time eating from here, I didn't know what I would like so I ordered several items. It all arrived in neat little plastic containers. Out of everything I selected, I think I enjoyed the gyu tataki and the Tokyo Night roll the best. The Philadelphia roll was pretty standard and nothing impressive, as was my spicy salmon hand roll. I was a little disappointed that the snapper and salmon nigiri were served plain. I'm spoiled from my time in Reno, NV where those items are served with ponzu/sriracha and lemon slices, respectively. However, they still tasted good. The yellowtail was slightly on the fishy side. I'm used to it being mild and buttery. After tax, tip, delivery and service fees, my total was roughly $120. Ouch. I did order a lot, though. Now that I have an idea of what is good, I can order less. However, almost everything is at least $10+. I enjoyed ordering from here, but it will be quite some time before I splurge like this again.

First time trying Ichibons since moving to the area. I first came in to meet a friend (didn't order anything) and it all looked amazing. We decided to try it for date night and beats the hibachi grill where we are from. Everything is well worth the price and the quality is amazing and fresh. The bento box literally came with everything and was well worth sharing!

I was craving a hibachi dinner and found Ichibon's. We were seating immediately at a table of 7 people total. I ordered a Shaggy Dog Roll and miso soup as an appetizer. For an entree, I had the hibachi steak and fried rice. The hibachi entrees come with a salad, vegetables, and rice. The salad is the size of a dinner salad and very filling. They put a lot of cheese on the salad as seen in the photos. The Shaggy Dog Roll is good, I like that it is not drenched in sauce and you can taste the crab. I didn't like the ginger sauce which is typically my favorite part of the meal.

Food was delicious, men's room was horrible told staff, was disappointed because no one had gone to take care of the issue. Shame on them.

We still got seated within 10 minutes. I saw the alcohol special, draft beer was only $3 USD, I definitely got one as in Toronto you can't get this price for Sapporo and on a Mother's Day at that. It's all you can eat, lots of items to pick from. You can have the Asian hot food or the cold sushi. The steak strip was pretty good so we had a few rounds. I liked the sashimi as well surprisingly. The cooking plate was changed often for us, the servers are really attentive so we've never really had to wait long. They should change the order system to self serve digital pad though but it was fine as the servers came around a lot. I finished off the meal with soft serve ice cream. The place is pretty cold in the end when people left in our section though as the AC is high but I like it because the BBQ usually gives off a lot of heat. At least during the meal I wasn't hot like in some other restaurant. The draft beer was amazing too. I truly like this place for the amount of selections of food and service.

They do have a buffet station with a decent selection. They had mixed seafood (crawfish, muscles, and shrimp), a few soup options, lots of fried foods, and salads. They don't have a big variety of meat selections compared to other KBBQ spots. We did try most of the meats and they all tasted just about the same, it was nothing really special. The sashimi was okay, it came out a bit warmer than what I expected. Overall I would rate this place a 6.5/10. **Note: my brother did say the food here destroyed his stomach!

It's a long open layout with about 1/3 of it being the prep, order, and kitchen area. It was clean, organized, and decor gave island vibes The staff were friendly and they were incredible efficient. It felt like there were many chefs tucked in a cramped workspace, but they made it work So, the menu is pretty amazing in terms of size and components, but also overwhelming in terms of options. You can order a salad-style or rice bowl and there are options for 1-3 proteins. There are about a dozen proteins to choose from, but that's the easy part. The sheer amount of greens, veggies, fruit, sauces, and additional toppings is astounding. There's even suggestions for good pairings, but it's completely up to you Everything tasted fresh. It was impossible to finish the entire bowl. Luckily, there are to-go boxes available. J would have liked to have had bigger to-go boxes available, and also, the only napkins I saw were in the very back by the drinks. The reason I'm giving this 5 stars is because I was truly impressed by the amount of food, the options, the efficiency, and the overall taste Some tips: I know some people are put off by raw fish. You are asked if you want your protein grilled or raw for certain options like tuna, salmon, etc I would definitely look at some of the flavor pairings and recommendations. It's very easy to wing-it and load up on contradicting or overpowering flavors There's boba tea options available. We weren't asked if we wanted this for done in or to go, so, I would go on the assumption that they will make it for dine in. They also have both forks/utensils and chopsticks. Cheers!!

Well, Covid killed their business but even before that, they just weren't really on their game for a minute. Fast forward to yesterday when we're in the Pasadena area to buy some work shirts, we're feeling a burger so we're going to the place next door but something just didn't jive when we walked in. Walk outside to drive off and see this place next door - we're always in the mood for some great Thai so wife and I decide to stop in. Man 'o man - did we hit the jackpot with this place!! The feel of this establishment is definitely a feel-good Asian restaurant that will do whatever it takes to make you feel at home. Add the fact that the chicken pad thai literally took my wife back to 15 years ago when we found our place in Jersey Village, but when I tried the chicken red curry that was really hot even at just the "number 4" factor? It's right outside the beltway on the east side of the city so it's a little harder to get to, but it's so worth it. The menu was surprisingly huge with so many good options. They don't play with their spices, so make sure you know your spice tolerance. You can't go wrong with the famous Pad Thai that they make extremely tasty here. The green beans xo sauce was phenomenal as well - whatever they coat it in really elevates the flavor and makes the vegetable much more enjoyable. I also wanted something light and hearty so I got the jungle curry. The two tone Thai tea was good, nothing extraordinary but will still satisfy you if you want a milky drink. It's essentially just Thai tea mixed with Thai green tea so if you've ever wanted them mixed together and weren't able to at other places, it doesn't hurt to try here (it's the same price as the regular ones anyway). And for the star to end the meal was the infamous mango sticky rice. By far the best I've had at any restaurant! The mango was perfectly ripe, the sticky rice was a perfect consistency, and the coconut milk was perfectly smooth. Absolute cinema. I would come back here just for this! Our server was very kind and attentive, the atmosphere was clean, and the restaurant was tidy. Highly recommend this place to everyone, it's worth the drive!
