Took my brother and sister in law out for their birthday, it was their first time doing hibachi and they had an absolute blast. We went for lunch so the food was a lot less than dinner. We all got the chicken and steak combo we also had drinks and sushi which was really delicious. They sang happy birthday and got a fried ice cream. Also their first. They made their experience a memorable one until next time.

Still a great place to have dinner with the family. I personally hate the house salad (dressing is gross) that comes with almost everything and their tempura veggies (the choice of veggies they use + texture are gross) but everything is hella good! The service is always very good, the people/ staff are wonderful and really go the extra mile. For example, I order the Shrimp Katsu to change it up, it had been a while since i ordered from the menu & after i ordered i saw that what i wanted came with those nasty af tempura veggies and our server was able to quickly change it to grilled veggies. Soooooooooooo good. (What's up with the veggies, you ask?) i personally don't like fried bell peppers, tempura sweet potatoes & green bean are not my thing.

Ok experience. I love that the food comes out in small portions because it's hot and little to no waste. I love going out and love a clean pretty environment but they fell a little short on this part. Don't know exactly what it is but they have to do better with their tables and chairs, uncomfortable to me. BUT food was very good

happy hour. tbh sushi was bad. sushi rice had no vinegar, just dry rice

Was near Pasadena and needed some time to kill so I decided to come here for food. Came during happy hour and their menu seemed decent and cheap (yay!). I guess you can say the sushi I received directly reflected the price. I love California Rolls so I ordered a couple of them. The rice was really dry. I don't think there was any vinegar in the sushi rice. It was difficult to get through the many rolls I ordered. The spicy-mayo sauce tasted kind of off as well. The waitress and hostess were very friendly though.

It was a Saturday night and I was absolutely dying for some sushi. Two other places that claimed they had delivery actually didn't and it was getting late. I saw that this place was open until 10:30 pm and offered delivery as well. I thought I would give it one last shot before I gave up. I'm glad I tried them out! Though the prices are pretty steep, they did deliver to my home at around 10 pm (I had a 45 min wait time). And honestly, I didn't mind because where else could I get late night sushi? Everything was delicious! Since it was my first time eating from here, I didn't know what I would like so I ordered several items. It all arrived in neat little plastic containers. Out of everything I selected, I think I enjoyed the gyu tataki and the Tokyo Night roll the best. The Philadelphia roll was pretty standard and nothing impressive, as was my spicy salmon hand roll. I was a little disappointed that the snapper and salmon nigiri were served plain. I'm spoiled from my time in Reno, NV where those items are served with ponzu/sriracha and lemon slices, respectively. However, they still tasted good. The yellowtail was slightly on the fishy side. I'm used to it being mild and buttery. After tax, tip, delivery and service fees, my total was roughly $120. Ouch. I did order a lot, though. Now that I have an idea of what is good, I can order less. However, almost everything is at least $10+. I enjoyed ordering from here, but it will be quite some time before I splurge like this again.

First time trying Ichibons since moving to the area. I first came in to meet a friend (didn't order anything) and it all looked amazing. We decided to try it for date night and beats the hibachi grill where we are from. Everything is well worth the price and the quality is amazing and fresh. The bento box literally came with everything and was well worth sharing!

I was craving a hibachi dinner and found Ichibon's. We were seating immediately at a table of 7 people total. I ordered a Shaggy Dog Roll and miso soup as an appetizer. For an entree, I had the hibachi steak and fried rice. The hibachi entrees come with a salad, vegetables, and rice. The salad is the size of a dinner salad and very filling. They put a lot of cheese on the salad as seen in the photos. The Shaggy Dog Roll is good, I like that it is not drenched in sauce and you can taste the crab. I didn't like the ginger sauce which is typically my favorite part of the meal.

Food was delicious, men's room was horrible told staff, was disappointed because no one had gone to take care of the issue. Shame on them.

We ordered the crawfish with coastal seasoning. It was the perfect amount of flavor. Now that I think about it, my usual spot is too salty. This was perfection. We also ordered the 2 piece fish fillet with fries and that came out quick, hot, and crispy! Service was excellent. They came by the table and dumped our shells into a bin. Nice and clean. We will be back with more friends. Can't wait to try more of the menu.

And they even have special deals on some days for cheaper. It is a Viet-owned establishment and the flavors are top-tier for the coastal and garlic flavors for the crawfish, and the pieces can get HUGE during the right time of the season, like around May. The biggest crawfish I've ever seen out of my 20 years of eating crawfish was from here--and there were like 6 of them of the same size all in one 5lb bag! Never have seen that at Crawfish Cafe or other places. Staff are very friendly. Only downside is they only have lemons here--no limes--and they charge for lemons. But the free butter station is nice for those who enjoy that.

The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, a good setting for a family celebration. The service was really good. Our team was attentive and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. I ordered the grilled shrimp with a loaded baked potato and onion rings, and my meal was pretty tasty. Everything was cooked well and satisfying. Several family members ordered the catfish. Everybody we dealt with -- the server, the hostess, another server who walked by, and the manager -- was super friendly and helpful. Food came out pretty quick, and everything tasted fresh. Ceviche tostada (shrimp & fish) -- very good, crispy shell, and all the seafood was good. Combination fried plate, ~$12 -- my wife and I both got this (two pieces of fish, about five shrimp). We opted for the fried rice as a side. Fried rice can be hit or miss at Mumbo, but theirs was very good this time -- fresh, hot, and not overcooked. All the fish and shrimp came out super hot. The biggest thing to understand about Mumbo is the value. It's not the most expensive place you'll go, and the fried shrimp aren't the best you'll ever have -- some people knock it because the food quality isn't Pappadeaux or some of the nicer spots. But I was paying about $12 for two fish, five shrimp, and a side. The value is super good, everything tastes very fresh, and it all comes out hot. They also have an extensive drink menu, so if you want to go for cocktails, I highly suggest it. Specifically for this Mumbo in Pasadena -- would recommend, and would return.
