After so many recommendations and after driving past this location for years I finally decided to swing by and check them out The exterior is surprisingly spacious. It's a long open layout with about 1/3 of it being the prep, order, and kitchen area. It was clean, organized, and decor gave island vibes The staff were friendly and they were incredible efficient. It felt like there were many chefs tucked in a cramped workspace, but they made it work So, the menu is pretty amazing in terms of size and components, but also overwhelming in terms of options. You can order a salad-style or rice bowl and there are options for 1-3 proteins. There are about a dozen proteins to choose from, but that's the easy part. The sheer amount of greens, veggies, fruit, sauces, and additional toppings is astounding. There's even suggestions for good pairings, but it's completely up to you Everything tasted fresh. It was impossible to finish the entire bowl. Luckily, there are to-go boxes available. J would have liked to have had bigger to-go boxes available, and also, the only napkins I saw were in the very back by the drinks. The reason I'm giving this 5 stars is because I was truly impressed by the amount of food, the options, the efficiency, and the overall taste Some tips: I know some people are put off by raw fish. You are asked if you want your protein grilled or raw for certain options like tuna, salmon, etc I would definitely look at some of the flavor pairings and recommendations. It's very easy to wing-it and load up on contradicting or overpowering flavors There's boba tea options available. Ahi Poke is generous with their portions where their fixings are filled to the brim. I'm the type that loads it with everything like on my Jersey Mike & Subway sandwiches. I love having unlimited options and variety! I wasn't too impressed with the quality of their spicy salmon and spicy tuna. In comparison to Poke Chef, their fish is fresh and you can taste the freshness. I didn't taste the freshness with Ahi Poke. I don't think I'll be returning, but I'd give them a 4/5 just for the good service and quantity over quality. I don't sacrifice that when it comes to raw fish. read more

I love ahi poke I am a regular and very much enjoy going and getting a bowl, but ever since Andrew started working here it is no longer enjoyable. I got in late Saturday night was going to head down to Webster for sushi while I'm in Pasadena and as I turned the corner I saw Ahi Poke and decided to try it. What a great choice ! This is fabulous! I got really good size bowl with 3 proteins , tuna Salmon, eel, then you build your bowl how you like it. So I started with rice on the base then I added seaweed then some squid salad, edamame, the tuna and salmon and then I mixed in the eel with the bowl, added mango, Tobiko- red , lots of sriracha, some sesame oil, and OMG! Small place and I was tired so got it to go with a drink and sitting in my hotel with the best Poke I've had other than my own. Sitting in my room working on my laptop eating my poke bowl this couldn't be better. It was really easy to order and build a plate and with all the proteins and toppings it was $17! Well worth it and those who haven't tried a poke restaurant try it. If you want sushi it can't find a sushi bowl, this is right up there! Highly recommend!!! read more

My first review of this restaurant was over 2 years ago and I would consistently give them 5 stars on every visit (maybe 10 other times) prior to tonight. Writing this so the owner can address an issue. It was a little busy but I have seen it this busy before and with less staff. We had a basic to-go order and it was more than the 2 folks helping us could easily accomplish. I still recommend this place and if every prior visit was not a clear 5 star rating maybe I wouldn't be so hard on them today. My friend introduced me to Ahi Poke at the beginning of 2020 before the world shut down and we had dinner there every Friday for girls night. It's a great choice if you're vegan, vegetarian, or just want a yummy meal. You can get your fill of veggies and the have lots of options. We stopped going every Friday for obvious reasons, but we still come occasionally when we have time to meet up and I've ordered take out from here several times. The food holds up on the journey home which I appreciate. I like that they have shrimp tempura and they even have some boba options to drink. The only thing I wish they had is a poke burrito. I've had them at another poke place and it was delicious, but it's a further drive from my house and work. I've never been in the bathroom, but the restaurant itself seems clean. I've never noticed anything that made me feel otherwise. There is limited seating so it's not the place for huge groups, and the last time I was in there some of the tables were off limits. I got the small bowl which is a nice big size in my opinion! Good for one person and you might have left over rice. They put rice then the protein then your veggies and toppings! Very quick serving! I also got the milk tea with taro n coconut with boba! It was super good and the food is so tummy and fresh! I really liked my bowl with my toppings and I recommend this place! Walked up and told the gentleman who helped me that it was my first time. He politely took the time to explain with out rushing. Beat poke place still. Have to visit this when I'm close by. Late lunch, early dinner, snack time. Whatever. If they're open my mouth will water for this stuff and usually I get work done as I eat at this place. Very friendly staff too. Especially the man/ manager in the pin stripe apron who cleans the floor, organizes things and is all over the place in the kitchen, and out on the floor. Good manager/ owner. I'm not sure, but he's awesome at his work and running this place. Why is this place the best? They don't skimp like Local Poke. The small here is super generous on items and is a meal. The small at other places makes me go somewhere else to get a second snack or meal after leaving it.
