Vietnamese coffee
Diem T.

Very nice staff. Been coming here throughout the years. I love their popcorn chicken but I wish there was more of it. The coffee is pretty good too. P.S- it's a very small shop so keep that in mind, it's more of a grab and go type stop. We know that true authentic places are sometimes run down looking to some people, what matters is quality and nice staff.

The place is small doesn't look anything like the photos here it looks cluttered and dirty but the corn dog was pretty damn good . I got the house special half and half very fresh and good . This is a place just for pick up I wouldn't eat there service was quick . The sauce on it was great and the drinks are good too .

Fried beignet is delish, and they have a drink with fresh avocado just fyi, ask for recommendation from them, very friendly service.. tiny joint but packs alot of flavor with their bubble teas, ask for half sweet if watching figure, best tapioca so far not too soggy just right!!:)

Happened upon this small boba shop after getting some lunch in the same strip and was pleasantly surprised! They had a whole system of letting you customize your own drink but I kept it simple with the strawberry matcha with boba. It was SO good. Not too sweet and perfectly flavored. The boba was fresh and chewy just like it should be. One of my favorite things was the art wall I got to look at while waiting for my order. So funny. Don't confuse this with the TapX chain. This is way better and a local spot. I hope I can come back soon!

6/20/24, First and last time here. There was a roach in my fries. I'm so sick. IN the food is evidence of an infestation. Do not eat here.

Avocado Smoothie with boba

Very friendly staff (the owner?) and a great selection of items. My new thing to get is an Avocado Smoothie with Boba. It was a reasonable price and had a great flavor. Seemed like a lot of people are repeat customers and he knew everyone and was very friendly to all that came while I was there. I was enroute to the Airport and he saw I was waiting on an uber and even offered to drive me if I was going somewhere close by.

I've been getting their mango smoothie + tapioca for years now & I love it! I'll be back to try their kimchi fries.

Tapioca Xpress is surprisingly really good!! My expectations were set low because the outside of the building looks very old, needs renovation, and isn't in a very popular part of Houston. But dang were we surprised! Walking in, the tapioca shop is definitely on the small side. There is only a couple of chairs by the window and like two more seating areas by the walkway leading towards the restroom. Due to the small space, I'd probably recommend just getting a drink to go, there isn't much room to socialize very long if the place gets a little busy. But even though the space is small, the drink selection is huge as far as flavors and toppings to choose from. I decided to try their taro milk tea with tapioca and sea salt cream foam. SO GOOD! This will probably become my go to order because I'm craving one now as I write this review. Big taro flavor, perfectly soft tapioca, and the creamy sea salt foam on top just brings everything together with its richness. We'll be back very soon Tapioca Xpress!

Strawberry smoothie with mango jelly + mango matcha smoothie with tapioca

We always come here after a stop at the foot massage place across the street from Hong Kong. It's a fairly small shop, but their drinks don't disappoint! This time I ordered a mango smoothie with matcha and tapioca. The boba pearls were soft and chewy - the perfect texture! My drink was delicious! The workers are very friendly and there happened to be a small crowd of people who followed us in line. Will return!

Every drink was thoughtfully made and looked just as good as it tasted. The presentation is beautiful, making it one of those places where you almost don't want to drink it because it's so pretty. We tried several drinks, and each one was unique. Our absolute favorites were Purple Rain--light, refreshing, and paired perfectly with lychee jelly--and Taro Ocean, which put a fun twist on the traditional taro drink by adding graham crackers at the bottom. That little addition was such a surprise and honestly made the drink unforgettable. You can tell the menu is crafted with creativity, and it makes you want to come back to try everything. All the drinks are customizable. Service was quick, and overall ordering was very easy. Overall, Happie Boba Shop nails it across the board: delicious and inventive drinks, a clean and comfortable environment, and easy access. I'll definitely be coming back, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, refreshing, and satisfying boba experience.

That being said the lounge area is nicely placed with ample seating and tables for small gatherings. Snacks and various food options are additionally available. The staff are nice and friendly but I didnt have much interaction to note more. Now the gritty; the popcorn chicken is honestly a mixed bag. While it is fairly juicy and pairs well with the thai chili sauce, it in itself is rather bland and honestly disappointing. The spicy powder on top adds a teeeeeeeny kick but doesnt do much when its just flavorless chicken. The teas are actually really good though. Half sweet is a good enough sweetness for me and the toppings work really well with each. I'll stick to the drinks next time.

We got their milk tea with boba and durian smoothie, which I always commend a place that will have it for nostalgia sakes. The flavoring of the durian smoothie is really light so don't fear the typical smell but don't expect deep flavors either. There are different options of fruit ears and coffee/frap as well. Overall, I am satisfied with this spot for your typical boba cravings. They are currently running a special of buy 5 get one 1 which is always a hit.

If you're anywhere near Hobby airport, this is the only choice to make. What to get: Cafe Sua Da, Darling What to get for a Russian girl: Da, Darling This is one of the best chains that there is for Vietnamese coffee, although when I say chain, there's only 2 locations I know of, and this is the original. The other - on Belt 8 nearby - is just as good. There is no Vietnamese Coffee in Greater Houston that is better than this one, and it tastes absolutely divine. I love coming down here for this reason, and they're always very friendly. They know my order just like I know the order of the Bond movies cough Dr No is first cough. It's not too expensive, and the tapioca is usually good. The coffee is - as I say - second to none. I'm so glad they have a second location now, out by the belt, and I absolutely adore every sip of their Cafe Sua Da. I compare them to the ones over in Bellaire (Chinatown and Alief aka Viet-town), and these are some of the best you will ever taste. I might even like them better than the masses of stellar options along Bellaire, in fact. Now go ahead, put some respect on their Nam.
