I came back to Snow House recently. The inside and the quality of their menu has improved greatly! The renovations gave me a tea room vibe, with a mix of modern design and otaku culture. However, their ceiling needs a new coat of paint. There are more varieties of drinks and sweets. Sweet Lemon even has crepe cakes now! The crepes are moist and not overly sweet. Their "snow" ice cream is still the best. The staff take great care and pride for each menu item. I like to believe they love working here. The prices are decent, and I can tell the staff use real ingredients for their drinks, snow ice cream and crepe cakes. I have to come back here again. read more

Service is amazing like always. The drinks I've had so far have always been nice especially their matcha. Their food has been good so far when I want a nice small snack to munch on and it's always coming out nice and hot. I have bought various milk teas and boba teas all over Houston, Dallas and Austin. This was arguably the worst I have ever had. I Ordered the coffee + milk tea with boba. Upsold me without asking. It Tasted disgusting. Bitter, cheap instant coffee and instant tea with way too much sugar. You don't make something good by adding a pound of sugar to it. Poor quality ingredients, tasted so bad it was undrinkable. $6 wasted and I will never, ever go back there. read more

Found a roach in our drink. It was in my daughter's drink, mixed in with the chocolate chips. Unfortunately, she found it the hard way. Luckily she spit it out quickly and we tossed all 5 of our drinks. Watch out for places with German cockroaches. They are the ones that are the biggest problem and that's what this one was. I would assume that they have a big problem if they are in the drinks that they serve. read more

I went on a Friday with my kiddos and the vibe was very nice, clean and calm. We ordered ice cream for the kids, one had watermelon chunks which tasted amazing! I ordered an iced coffee bobba, which was quite delicious. The owner was very nice and assisted the employee in making everything. They have a comfy couch and some tables, the music wasn't too loud and the overall atmosphere was peaceful. Do not judge the book by its cover. Yes outside it might look like the inside it wouldn't be so pretty. However, once you walk inside, you immediately walk into the shaved ice experience that you would expect to see around the Downtown area. Immediately when I saw the shaved ice mango madness I had to try it. I've always seen them on YouTube videos but I have never had the chance to try it. The first bite isn't the greatest as you taste the syrup and your taste buds are adjusting to the ice cream. However, the more you eat and then take a piece of mango with the ice cream, and then take a piece of watermelon with the ice, it gets better and better. It was a little under eight dollars but it's huge, it's the size of a large tutti-frutti cup. It definitely did not disappoint me, I did enjoy it I will be back for it and others. Definitely a nice tea place if you don't want to leave La Porte. It is a bit hard to find because of the location. The building doesn't face the street. I had the strawberry n'cream tea and my boyfriend got the honey milk tea. I love their extensive toppings, although they are only missing egg pudding. Otherwise, this would be perfect. They do have crystal boba though! It's hard to find a place that does. The strawberry n'cream could've been a bit more sweet. I can taste the strawberry flavor, but the overall drink was bland.
