Food is always very good. Of course you have to get the chef style wings. I get the same thing every time.. wings and the Alfredo. Just don't come during prime time hours, you'll have to sit downstairs in the dungeon lol

I visited iBar on a random Tuesday night with some friends and business was booming. They had TVs and music playing and the noise level was energetic, with usual bar chatter. After getting situated the server came over with menus. I told her it was my first time so she made some recommendations and gave me time to review the menu. After careful review I ordered honey old bay wings, a cup of cream of crab, onion rings, and a white gummy bear cocktail. The cocktail was so so and the cream of crab was not hot on arrival. I decided to push it to the side and I would just box it to take home. The wings and onion rings were my faves. I do wish the wings had more honey old bay on it . But nonetheless it was crispy and tasty. The onion rings come with honey mustard but I asked for bbq instead and it did take the server a while to bring it to my table. Other than that it was a solid experience. I definitely want to go back and try some more wing flavors.

They have the best chef style wings and they have on the sauce which I love. I wasn't too thrilled with the crab dip, which I'm usually is. The chef style shrimp is also a must have along with sautéed spinach. Good drinks and good vibes. Parking is difficult but worth it. The waiter had the whole downstairs and he didn't miss a beat with getting food out on time and making good drinks!

iBar never misses! The chef-style wings were perfectly seasoned and crispy, and the drinks were creative and strong. The service was friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is very laid-back -- perfect for date night, solo date, or just catching a vibe. I enjoy visiting the IBar.

I was so happy to hear this place was back open so I get my chef style fried hard buffalo wings! No other place makes them quite like iBar and they were just as good as I remember from years ago. We ordered take out due to the crowded bar on Sunday evening. The food was ready in about 15 minutes and still nice and hot when we arrived home. Parking can be hit or miss since it's street parking, but you'll definitely find something if you keep circling around. If you're looking to sit in then I recommend arriving earlier in the day. It can be a great place to grab a drink and the watch the games while enjoying food.

We sat at the bar on a nice Friday night around 9. iBar is located in a busy neighborhood with other businesses on Maryland Avenue, not far from North Avenue. Shawn was our main bar tender and he was great. We both ordered drinks and an appetizer. The drinks were pretty good and the appetizers were pretty ok. The crab dip basically just has a layer of crab at the top, but the flavor is good overall. The calamari was fried perfectly, but it was mostly tough. It's a cool place to have drinks and food for sure. They have 2 floors of seating and the staff is all pretty good. The only issue which is out of their control, is parking.

The wings.. the buffalo, chefs style, fried hard wings are legit! My friend had been talking about this place for years and I finally made it. Small, chill, hang out spot. We ordered fried calamari and the Texas road house burgers, and of course the wings. I should have just ordered wings because they were so good. Everything else was good but u specifically went for the wings. Double check your drink price, I ordered an old fashioned and was asked if I wanted rail or some other bourbon (they had several brands), I can't remember the brand I got but didn't go with sygamore rye. I knew that would be way too expensive. My drink ended up costing $25 and I was a little shocked cuss.. it's an old fashioned.. nothing fancy. So just make sure to check the price differences in the types of liquor they offer ( if price matters). I'll be back for the chill atmosphere and those wings!

The food here is out of sight!! This spot is definitely a diamond in the rough! Outside area may not be appealing, but once you get inside to the bar area upstairs, you will be pleasantly surprised at the extensive menu. There is an option for all cuisines, Italian, Mexican, America, and vegetarian if you prefer. Service is a little sketchy at times though. But the tvs and bar atmosphere will get you through. Stop by and enjoy.

Stopped by on a weeknight to try their buffalo wings and it did not disappoint! We got 8 wings in their medium spicy (chef style), regular fried. It was very yummy! Price was reasonable and service was lovely. We also got their honey lemon pepper wings (it's not on the menu - you can ask for it). Wasn't a big fan. This place has definitely got dive bar vibes and there was a good mixture of locals and people from other locales :) I would go back for the buffalo wings and maybe try the other menu items. The blackberry Tom Collins was boozy!

    Ask the Community - iBar

Are they open as of 9/29/22? I heard they closed down a few months back and keep getting a busy signal

No they are open I went there earlier this month. Sadly they never answer the phones

Is ibar open for takeout during the covid19?

According to a FB post dated March 23rd, they're closed.

Is this place closed down ? What happened?

They were having electricity issues as of yesterday and closed for the day. I'm not sure of the current status though. I would reference their Facebook page for updates!

The breakfast burger was delicious and they accommodated my dietary changes (no hollandaise sauce). Bloody Marys hit the spot on a lazy Sunday morning. Guilford Hall: Profs & Pints…read more I went to the Profs & Pints event that's hosted at Guilford Hall. So this is a 2 in 1 review. Food: Black Garlic Truffle fries: really great balanced flavors. My only complaint is the fries could've been a little crispier but that could be due to the long line of orders, it may have been waiting under the lamps because the kitchen is filling orders for both upstairs and downstairs. The truffle sauce was like an earthy, Smokey bbq sauce. I really enjoyed the flavor. Reuben Eggrolls - BOMB! So juicy, perfectly fried. I tried it with and without the house mustard sauce. It's good on its own but the mustard sauce kicks it up a notch. I've seen so many versions of cheesesteak Eggrolls, crab egg rolls, etc it's done to death in my opinion. But a REUBEN EGGROLL ?? amazing, that's the innovative thinking I like to see. And if you don't like grilled Reuben's .... Grow up House salad: I added grilled shrimp and the house creamy ceaser dressing. The shrimp was grilled perfectly, great flavors, not too salty or over seasoned. Just right. The dressing was a solid Caesar dressing and same for the salad itself. A solid house salad. I love the new menu design, so much more elevated and well thought out. If you're not a beer drinker or don't know a lot about beers, the menu provides you with recommended beer pairings for each item. They also have a new chef. I loved the old chef, I had so many personal faves on the menu so I was a little bit hesitant. But I'm intrigued about some of the new items they've added to the menu. And although I've only tried a few things tonight, I'd say so far so good. I'll be back. Ambiance: Guilford Hall is honestly a hidden gem. The venue and architecture is gorgeous. You have the main restaurant downstairs and the event space upstairs. They host so many different events as well so I would recommend checking out their events page. Service: I'd they the service was the only gripe I had. And I don't mean the servers themselves, They're great and work very hard. My gripe is with the lack of adequate staffing for the event. They only had two servers taking orders for a very full event. So unfortunately it took a long time to get your order taken. You can order at the bar but the bartenders always insist that you order at the table, which again can take forever, so people go to the bar ...... lol it's a losing game. So I'd say get there at the very beginning before the venue fills up and get your food order in or don't go on an empty stomach like I did Now for the event itself. If you've never been to profs & pints I highly recommend. There's so many interesting topics to choose from. Speaker: Dr. Todd B. Kashdan Topic: The Science of Curiosity He was a very personable and engaging, and had great delivery with the perfect balance of insight and humor. He incorporated break out sessions to encourage the audience to interact with the people at their tables. It's open seating so great for connecting with strangers. I loved his perspective. He had great presence and took a relaxed/humble yet confident approach to public speaking. A key take away for me is to remember to turn your curiosity inward without judgement. Like what would you if no one was watching and you weren't thinking about what other people think. Your initial impressions of people are often wrong and you close the door too quickly. Assuming perspective instead of getting someone's perspective because you're seeing this as a representation of one monolithic idea as opposed to understanding who they actually are. This was in relation to a question someone asked about Race and who defines what is vs what things could actually be. And how when we have more of these conversations instead of avoiding them that leads to a more open world with less isms, bullying, prejudice, etc. All in all a great night. I highly recommend.

At the door, they checked IDs and explained the whole way to sample the many beers with some notecards for writing down the corresponding number and the size for each beer, and a little space to take some notes on what we thought of each. It seems like they regularly have a lot of beers on tap anyway, but they do have several beer fests throughout the year (Hopfest is in August!) with over 60 offerings of a particular style of brew. And even if you want to come in and want a different style, they still have plenty of those to try as well. We got some food to go with all that beer - the Tater platter was solid bar food with tots, cheese, and bacon. Would get again. Likewise, they run a hot dog special when the Orioles are playing and you can get a hot dog for cheap. Ample seating at the bar and surrounding tables. Bathroom was clean. The bartenders took food and drink orders and different carriers bring food to you. They move quick and are friendly. Prices are fair.
