This place always has a super long line. There's just so many choices: drinks, snacks, and food. Note: for their serving of food, it's only dine in only. This includes all their ramen, udon, and rice bowls. I was a little disappointed I couldn't take out, but there's always a next time. Drinks: so many different series. They A-M. Do you seriously need to give me so much options?! Fruit teas, creama, sago, milk tea, and so much more. My bf loves the mango sago. It has mango sago and bits of mango chunks in the drink. That's the K4. I usually get the roasted oolong milk tea, which is hit or miss. Sometimes is really good and sometimes it's just not drinkable. They also serve a ton of snacks. Basil popcorn chicken, seasoned fries, calamari, just to name a few. Happy hour is Monday-Thursday 8-10pm and Friday and Saturday starting at 9pm. 2.95 for drinks and 3.50 for snacks. This has been my favorite boba place in the San Leandro area since it opened a couple years ago. I can always count on them to make my drink just right. Another plus is that the workers are always nice and willing to give any recommendations if needed! Sometimes the wait can get pretty long on hot days but I think it's worth the wait! My go to drink is always the strawberry mango fruit tea with lychee jelly. It's super refreshing on a hot day and I literally crave it every time I am home. Currently during COVID, they offer online or phone orders. I recommend that you give them a call before heading over to iTea if you want to avoid waiting in line. In addition, they sectioned off half of their store so there isn't as much seating available than they had previously. Hopefully when everything returns back to normal, they will open back up the extra seating because it was always a nice place to grab some boba and ramen while catching up with friends. Definitely a fan of i-Tea, but the best thing about this location is that you can order tea and food compared to the one in Oakland (only other one I've been to). I didn't have to wait as long as the other location I went to in Oakland (thank god). Solid all around tea place from the locations I've tried and one of the most balanced with flavor and tea. The fruit flavors don't have that nasty fake taste to it and I like that they actually put in real fruit in the mango drink! Open during COVID, The online ordering system is quite frustrating. I ordered online thinking it would save me some time...went to checkout only to find that it required an account. After creating an account my cart was gone and I thankfully I was able to go back a couple pages and recover my cart. 5:18pm, received an email to confirm order. 5:39pm, received an email that the order was received. 5:58pm, received an email that order was ready for pick up. I didn't realize until 6:03pm. Stood in online order line. Waited another 5 minutes after telling them my name and phone number. 6:08pm, finally got my order. 6:09pm, walked to my car and realized that I got the wrong drink on the right label. My mom would have killed me if went home with an Oreo frosty instead of a Matcha Red Bean Smoothie. 6:14pm, 1 hour later, 1 unhappy customer. Okay I get it. They busy. People make mistakes. But I was just overall upset with the wait because they did not provide an anticipated wait time. There is also sort of 2 lines going on. One for online pick up, one for walk in orders. So I took my daughter here to buy a few drinks. Parking was horrendous. I drove around for a while just to find a parking spot at a nearby plaza. Then, as we walked inside the store, the line was all the way from the cashier to the door. Even after I placed our order (Thai tea with boba, signature boba milk tea and wintermelon milk tea with grass jelly add boba) the crowd kept coming in. We literally waited between 15-30 minutes for our drinks. For such a small store, everyone was literally backed up against each other and the employees never enforced anyone to be 6 feet apart. I know this is a chain restaurant, but it does not diminish its really great dishes! I'm not much of a boba drinker (which is the main offering of this place), so I can't speak much to that, but for me what was the most surprising is how impressive & savory the Eel Caviar Fried Rice is! Considering all of their offerings (from ramen, to noodle dishes, to rice dishes, to their myriad of fried snacks), I really wouldn't have thought that my most favorite dish of this place is that! The rice has a delectable thick seasoning & sauce that encompasses it and enhances it with this saturation making it so delicious! It is a really good sized portion and you can tell how wholly it is prepared with its impressive ingredients and how concentrated it tastes by how hefty it ends up being even though it is placed in just a bowl. The other thing that makes this place remarkable is their Croquettes! And the best feature of this dish/offering is how much you get (4 per order) for how much it costs! With that price, you would think they'd skimp on it and make them small, but they are a really good size! They have a good amount of breading, fried perfectly. The potato filling has just the right density and consistency. As my wife and I are huge fans of Croquettes in general and can't get enough of it, we enjoy having and getting it every time we end up ordering it! Outside of those orders, the only other dishes I've had so I can speak to is the Osaka Style Takoyaki, Fried Hokkaido Oyster, and Fried & Seasoned Calamari which was good and had nothing to complain about -- the calamri and fried oyster is a pretty plain dish, so there wouldn't be much to speak to anyways while the oysters may have been particularly good because they are "Hokkaido" (I could hardly tell much difference, if any, between other it and other oysters) Takoyaki was pretty flavorful with its sauces. I don't drink boba drinks, but my wife and family/friends that I've ordered & gotten for have indulged from here and had no complaints and was fine with how it came out and tasted. They offer a good amount of many other options/selections, and if how outstanding their Eel Caviar Fried Rice is, then I imagine all these other offerings would be just as delicious. I actually look forward to trying more of their variety of offerings! This place is located smack dab in the middle of Pelton Plaza. For those who aren't familiar with the place, you'll find the parking rather limited -- I would call the parking (at least in front of the restaurant) just a little bigger than "small"; with more parking spots spread further out towards the outside of the Plaza and into the surrounding street parking. Still, very limited parking slots -- I'd count about 30 slots in the immediate walkable area (2 minute walk), and around 70 slots overall in this small lot, but shared by all the shops & restaurants for the whole Plaza (many are taken up for Baskin Robbins, Chipotle, Los Pericos, and Makiyaki; among the others). Most likely since the pandemic developed, the space inside that used to be a modest eating area with considerable amount of tables for sitting has been removed & restricted to the point that the second door you used to be able to enter with is now blocked -- you can see the restaurant just keeps the space as storage now. Now it only has a small standing counter and a couple of tables to the side. The lines are often times out the door -- so that has to be kept in mind when ordering at this place. I know there are a lot of these types of places in San Leandro and everywhere else in The Bay, and they all have similar offerings, but this i-Tea does it right and might surprise you with the unassuming dishes you wouldn't necessarily relate-to/order-from this kind of place (like the Eel Caviar Fried Rice)! And even if it is so (that they have similar offerings), there is still a myriad variety of offerings and it can be assumed that they do them all very well! This location, unfortunately, doesn't have a happy hour special like other locations that I have visited, but it still provides great tasting milk teas. A wait is likely, as every time I've wandered into here, I was greeted with a 5-10 minute line. My go-to drinks are the Hokkaido milk tea which COMES WITH boba and pudding and the oolong milk tea which comes with boba. One of the things I like most about i-tea is that many drinks come with toppings, so you don't have to pay for them (sure...its probably factored into the price...but that's marketing). My boyfriend and I ordered two drinks - Strawberry and Mango Fruit Tea and Jasmine Milk tea. 1) Strawberry and Mango Fruit Tea 5/5 - Really yummy! I got 50% sweetness and added agar boba. Their drinks are on the sweet side so 50% was perfect for me (I have a sweet tooth!) There are tiny pieces of strawberry and mango in there, which make the drink extra fruity and refreshing! 2) Jasmine Milk Tea - 4/5 My boyfriend ordered 20% sweetness and 100% sugar and he said it tasted perfect for him (he doesn't like things too sweet like me ), but it just tasted like normal jasmine tea. The Matriarch (not me) wanted to have noodle soup and so I whipped up Yelp! To get some help. So off we go to the Noodle house and then planned to get some boba to go as we drive back home. When we arrived it was amazeballs!! The place is situated in an old style shopping center with low roof. It wasn't appealing outside but when you enter, lo and behold! it is actually a bigger than I expected. The upside to this place other than their drinks is they have more food selections (bummer! coz we already ate). I had given myself a mental face slap when we came in because I wanted to try their food and my tummy is full ...except for boba. So we ordered our different drinks. Mine if I can recall was Milk tea with foam on it and crystal pearls. It was specially good but that is expected to I-tea. I think my daughter got her usual panda milk tea. Since we've been to I-tea in Milpitas we already know that we can choose to order with less ice and sugar in our bobas. I usually take mine 30-30%. I prescribe to the In-N-out philosophy for my boba teas so a lot of the complexity and offerings are oftentimes lost on me. (i.e. Huh? Salted cream on my drink?) What I do like is being able to customize % sugar and % ice in my drink. I got a strawberry crystal icy drink and it hit the spot on the 100 degree day! This is definitely a popular place, since there is usual a lengthy line of people waiting to order (especially on weekday afternoons and weekends). I'm a big fan of lychee-based drinks, so I often get the "Litchi Yakult" with added boba (tip: if you check-in on Yelp, you get a free topping). There is a hefty dose of lychee flavor with the creamy tang of the Yakult mixed in. I've also enjoyed the rose milk tea and the lychee-based slush drink, and I think the boba has a great, chewy quality to them. Despite the long lines at times, service is speedy, and the workers are friendly and attentive. I've also tried the basil popcorn chicken and thought that the portion was definitely shareable. While I wished that the chicken had been crispier, I thought it was seasoned well, and I could tell that it was freshly prepared. I'm so glad a closer i-Tea has opened in the San Leandro area! Whenever I get the i-Tea cravings, I usually stop by the one in Milpitas since it's close to the SO's work. Located in the Pelton Center, this i-Tea is spacious, clean-feeling, and offers more varieties of food than other i-Tea's I've been to. Although the outside of the plaza looks old and out-dated, the interior of this shop is very modern! Giant flat-screens playing Lady Gaga's performance during the Super Bowl half-time show, cool Transformer-esque lights hanging down, and EDM covers of Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars" blasting through the speakers. It's a hip place to hang out with friends and drink tea/eat snacks for sure! The SO and I ventured here on a rainy day after work - the perfect time for ramen! We were greeted by a smiling girl behind the register, who took our (hella big for 2 ppl) order: A7 Tieguanyin tea w kreama C7 Fresh Taro milk tea Mini eggrolls Popcorn chicken (a MUST at all i-Tea's!) Curly Fries Kimchi spicy ramen Teas were good, the popcorn chicken here is smaller than other i-Tea's, but they put a lot of whole garlic in there.. good for when your date's not all that great ;) The ramen was also delicious! I have been watching the Construction on I Tea for months . I finally got a Chance to give them a try . They are located in the Pelton Center . There plenty of Parking in this older Strip Mall. I'm impressed by the great job of Remodeling the Space into I Tea . I Tea has a Fresh , Clean Look and is brightly lit .I went on a Sunday night during Happy Hour . It was pretty busy at this time of night . I perused the Menu and ordered - Beef Tendons -Ho Fun Soup , Popcorn Chicken , Fish Balls , Fried Fish Fillets and a Fruit Milk Tea . I paid by Credit Card and they gave me a Number to put on my table and a receipt . There are Multiple LCD TVs there for Entertainment . Plenty of Tables and Chairs to Chill out and Eat at . When my Milk Tea was ready , they called my number and I retrieved it from the Front Counter ! 15 minutes later a server brought my Food. The Beef Tendon Ho Fun Soup was a good sized portion . My other Entrees came in individual cardboard To-Go Boxes . They were pretty tasty . But the number 1 Stunner was the Beef Tendons and Ho Fun Soup was Flavorful , Earthy , Hearty and Savory !! The Milk Tea was a good ending to a Big and Tasty Meal. I think I Tea is a great addition to the Pelton Center and its great to see a greater influence of Asian Run and Influenced Businesses taking San Leandro by Storm !!! This has been one of the stead pick-me-up places during the pandemic. They made smart changes to add online ordering to their offerings. They had efficient lines for pick up. They were from shouting to using a microphone as the lines got busier. They faced challenges and kept making it work during the pandemic. I love the online ordering system (except there isn't a clear way to use the rewards program or redeem a drink). They added ways to customize (add or remove toppings, tip, bag) the order. These days though now that you can walk in. It's a little hectic how to pick up orders and not get mixed up with those ordering at the counter. I have no doubt they'll figure it out and maybe one day soon they'll bring back happy hours, too. read more

This location has similar drinks as the other 3 i-Tea I have been to and that's a good thing cuz they make some excellent drinks! There was a bit of a line as expected due to the hot weather. The service was fast and friendly as the lady made a suggestion when I asked for something fruity, non caffeinated and not too sweet. You be the judge here. I put in an online order for a Taro milk tea, I wanted extra extra extra grass jelly. Yes, 3 sides of grass jelly. The attached picture is what I got. Upon receiving the drink, I told the staff, the quantity I received was incorrect. What is the correct way to order taro milk tea with grass jelly and an extra two sides of grass jelly in its own separate cups? I know they charge an extra $.50 for each side , so I opted for the Krema option since it's $1.00. I clearly wrote in the instructions, no krema, replace with grass jelly in its own separate cups. Not only did I not get the grass jelly in the milk tea, i didn't get my extra side that I paid for, I got what looks like just one and half side of a grass jelly in this little cup... the staff ignored their wrong doing, said nothing and walked away. I would give you negative stars if I can but I know it'll hurt your business. I'll take my business to the other iteas in the area. Ramen was decent for the price and location. The tonkatsu broth is delicious and not to creamy. Also ordered the potstickers and calamari. Potstickers were okay. I didn't really like the sauce with it because it was to salty. Calamari was small and crispy but a good portion size for its price. Good place to grab non-alcoholic drinks + snacks. Wide range of drink and food options here. Be sure to swing by during happy hour when most drinks are $2.95 and snacks are $3.50. You'll probably have to fight for a table though, not literally... but you get the idea. Personally, I think the drinks are pretty good. Even when you get no sugar, there's still a prominent tea flavor to the drink. If it's watered down, then it means they cover up the lack of tea with sugar. Luckily that's not the case here.
