I was pretty disappointed with this place. The milk tea tasted strange--I honestly couldn't tell what ingredients they were using--and it wasn't cheap either. I love Quickly! They have such an extensive boba drinks list, they use plant-based milk, and the prices are so much more reasonable than other boba shops! I waited until I've tried this place a few times before reviewing. Everything is watered down or should I say flavored water. Didn't matter what we tried from milk tea, fruit tea, rose tea, slush they all had no flavor. Kiddo asked to try boba (which he has before but like any other kid - he has a short-term memory at times) We in and at first, we thought it was only order by scanning code or kiosk. To be honest, I didn't think I was going to find another location like South San Francisco's Quickly, but this place is at the same level. I will say that they are located in a small one way plaza so do be aware of that if you're trying to get in there. They have great options on their menu board; lots to choose from. I've also tried their salmon bowl, fried calamari rings and crispy popcorn chicken. The salmon bowl was pretty good but the salmon was coated with to much breading and was very soggy. I don't think it was the teriyaki sauce that did it. They also put loads of rice underneath.The calamari rings were ok and needed lots of cayenne pepper or something for flavor or needs sauce. The crispy popcorn was ok and pretty crispy but like the calamari rings, it needed more spice to it. They didn't even ask to see if we wanted it spicy but then I don't think they have that option? We have to put it on our own. The staff looked bored and not interested in his job. The guy even asked if you want a bag and they charge ten cents for a tiny bag they give; its not even a grocery bag size for all the food we got. One thing that I gave stars for was the portions as they do give a lot. I just wish it tasted good. No wonder I didn't not go to Quickly as it didn't give a good first impression of their products. Upon arrival, it was a cute little place and since it wasn't busy I didn't have to stand in line. I ordered a Thai tea and a peach slush for my husband. The slush came out w boba when we said no toppings. On the menu, it shows "Free upgrade to large size" under the "Fruity Delight" section but the cashier was completely lost and had to ask someone in back. So Today I went there for Lunch and I ordered a Pop Corn Chicken Regular Sized and a Large Peppermint Boba Milk Tea . I Paid By Credit Card . They have 2 LCD TVs with American and Asian Programming for Entertainment . 10 Minutes Later My Pop Corn Chicken was ready . Nice and Crispy and Packed Full of Flavor . If you don't need a huge size, you can get a milk tea for a cheap price. For example, we got a regular taro milk tea with no toppings for about $2. Quickly is located in San Leandro. They still open Quicklys? Apparently so, and the newest one just opened in San Leandro. I hadn't been in the area in awhile, so today would be a good day to visit. It was early afternoon, and it was not very crowded when I arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful as I waited in line and studied the menu. I saw at the front of the store one of the daily specials was Iced Green Tea for 99 cents -- great for a warm day. I ordered that and a Taro Milk Tea with Honey Boba. As I waited for my drinks, I observed all of the signs of specials that weren't on the main menu -- lots of choices. My drinks were ready after a bit. They cooled me off and were refreshing. Let's talk about this place. First of all how old are the kids working here? Are there laws against this? So my friend and I came here on a sat evening looking for boba drinks. I got a green apple snow and my friend got a passion fruit snow. Just as I remember it from working at another Quicklys when I was in high school. We also got a popcorn chicken and French fries. Like you can never go wrong with those two snacks. Popcorn chicken- not sure if it was deep fried Long enough because it was still pretty pink on the inside. I go to the register and ask the kid if it was cooked and he said well yes I then say can I please talk to your mom or an adult. He then runs to the back to get his mom or just an adult. I then ask the lady if it's cooked and she said yes. It's chicken thigh thats why it's still pink (?!?!! Im like what?!?). I said okay then went to sit down. Fries- can't go wrong with fries.
