Food : My favorite is the popcorn chicken and fries! It is my go-to! Tea : Their teas are fairly priced, some of their teas taste a bit powdery such as the Taro and Thai tea; so I often opt for the kreama teas! There are many workers and it always is ready in a timely manner. There is seating but it is often occupied.
Stopped here because I was in the area visiting a different business. Came because I wanted to try the Boba and ended up getting the garlic short rib noodles just to try them out. The noodles came with a lot of food so I was able to share with someone else and was still full. The honey, brown rice milk tea was really good and not super overwhelming and sweet. My husband got the Taro milk. Tea was probably my favorite perfect balance of flavor and the boba with it wasn't too mushy or hard. Literally perfect consistency. The staff were really nice and you could tell that they enjoy their job because they were working hard but also vibing to music.
I was in Milpitas for an event and was looking for a place to grab a snack, perhaps a popcorn chicken. Looking through Yelp, I found i-Tea, which seemed like a try-able option. My friend got a boba tea drink, and I got the popcorn chicken. He liked his drink, but the popcorn chicken was kind of a let down. The popcorn chicken was basically a lot of chicken bits in a heavy coating of bread crumbs. The layer was so thick that it felt like I was just eating breading with a side of chicken. You can see in my images that each piece of chicken has the same uniform cylindrical shape, reminiscent of a potentially frozen or highly-processed chicken nugget. And not to totally bash the efforts of the dish, but it was just lacking in flavor. Visually, you can see there are bits of garlic, and basil. However, my guess is that they were more of a garnish, or tossed together at the end. Inside the restaurant, there was plentiful amounts of seating. It almost felt like there was too much seating which made it feel more crowded than it actually was. On the TV's there was some sort of anime being played. Overall, my experience could have been better, and perhaps my bar for popcorn chicken is set too high for what we got that day.
Had a quick late lunch here, but unfortunately it was disappointing. I ordered the pork curry rice, and it really missed the mark -- the curry portion was very minimal, and the pork was so dry and chewy that I had a hard time finishing it. I honestly wouldn't recommend this dish. The tea I ordered was just average as well. Overall, not the best experience.
This place is always a good option for a quick lunch or pick up to meet with friends. The popcorn chicken is fried and seasoned really well, but I do wish they go back to using whole garlic or large sliced garlic. Still ordering it every time though The boba drinks are also done well and consistent! I love that! My go-tos are the Panda drink or Milk tea tofuhua. There seems to always be a line when I go but it's not a problem. The wait isn't very long. There are a few tables outside to sit and wait, and the tables inside are clean to sit at while waiting for my order. I've probably tried everything and I can say they make drinks and food consistently well
I really like this place! I mostly just get food here, recently got the popcorn chicken again, which flavor wise is great, and also got the egg tofu, which was really tasty and well made. The tofu is super soft while the outside is crunchy and flavors are similar to takoyaki. I'm guessing they just add similar sauces The menu is genuinely huge! I definitely haven't tried all their categories of foods and drinks, but it's impressive they're able to provide all of that. Service is efficient and there was plenty of seating when I went. Parking is also pretty easy, there's a large parking lot to the south of the series of businesses there if the limited spots directly in front are filled.
I've been to iTea a few times, and the drinks and food have always been consistently good. What really stood out during my last visit, though, was the exceptional customer service from one of the young gentlemen working there. He greeted everyone with a genuine smile, stayed patient even when it got busy, and made sure every customer felt welcomed instead of rushed. You can tell he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about creating a positive experience. It's not often you come across service that leaves such a lasting impression. Employees like him are a big reason I'll continue coming back. Great job to the whole team!
Came here on a Tuesday evening. The store was quite empty, but a couple of groups came in for to-go orders. There were a few tables for dine in. The staff were nice and attentive. Ordered the tonkotsu ramen, popcorn chicken and beef rice bowl, and each item was good. The popcorn chicken had the texture closer to nuggets than actual chicken pieces, but it was cooked well with good seasoning. There's quite a lot of parking next to the store. Would come by if I'm in area again!
Since I am from out of town, I am not sure if this place is in a popular area. The spot itself was in a weird corner so parking is very limited. I am just glad to see an I-Tea here because the one from my city has permanently closed, so I was thrilled to purchase a couple of their drinks. Very similar menu; so many yummy things to choose from. Overall, good experience, but parking is my only thing I had to mention.
First time at this location so I don't normally come here but I was meeting up with friends. I ordered the popcorn chicken, my usual, I asked the worker if I could get the garlic cooked because they serve it raw which is disgusting.. the worker said no, they couldn't do that and when I mention the other location doing it when asked, they asked one of the other worker and they said they could. When I got my chicken, most of the garlic was hiding at the bottom and wasn't even cooked when I asked. Just cook it with the chicken, is that so hard? I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because they do serve other food like ramen and onigiri but I won't be coming back to try.
Double Chocolate Tea Bobaccino Judgment: high B- honestly a lot lighter and more balanced than I thought it would be trades a bit of the tea's presence for a better overall experience with some dark, nutty chocolate flavor and a touch of crème brûlée the chocolate syrup/crème brûlée compensates for the watery texture/taste of the cream that the signature boba mt suffers from not super heavy but on the sweeter side and leaves a bit of sugar feel behind for a specialty drink, has a pretty competitive price especially in this economy carries iTea on its back to a high B- $5.95 + tax 2/24/25
i-Tea has been here for over a decade. I think I've only tried it once. l've gone to the one in San Jose off of Capitol Expressway. This location serves a bit more than the other store does, like Ramen, Onigiri, in addition to their usual fried appetizers. The service was nice and friendly. The tables are closer together here. Both inside and outside seating. I ordered the Khoyo Grape Fruit Tea with grape jelly. I got it their regular way. It was so refreshing, but it was too sweet for me. I'd get it less sweet next time. The grape jellies were good.

I can only review one item from here as I was passing by and decided to try it out. My go-to drink is roasted oolong boba tea. I'd rate this drink about 3/5 stars if generous. The tea itself is diluted (compared to others I've tried). There is a slight underlying oolong taste but the watery-ness ruins it for me. read more

This review is mainly to review the Roasted Oolong Kreama drink at this location, and suggestion for the staff to look into their creama recipe. This is typically my go-to drink and I frequent the Fremont location which makes this drink very well. When I ordered this at the Milpitas location, I was greeted with a globby white creama that was floating on the oolong tea. I tried to whirl the drink but the glob was just floating there and didn't blend in at all. I asked the staff if this was what it typically looks like and they kindly offered to remake it. But the remake looked exactly the same. They said the creama is a hit or miss based on who makes it, which is not a very promising rationale. My suggestion is to ensure some quality control as best as you can. Customers are not typically happy paying $7+ for a "hit or miss" quality boba. read more
ITEA will always be one of the boba spots I hit up regularly! I have come here so often and everything is always so consistent. I specifically like this location because they have Chicken Steak on their menu (chicken katsu) and it is to die for, i don't think the other locations have this on their menu!!! The perfect snack! I also love their basil popcorn chicken and curly fries. I definitely noticed an improvement in the quality of their drinks throughout the past few years. When I used to go pre-pandemic, the drinks were very good but I mostly went for the food, and got a drink as well. I would rarely come for a drink by itself. Now, I come for the drinks! I can definitely tell a change in what they used and their drinks were less sweet and ultimately tasted fresher, which I love! Their boba has always been consistent too! If you haven't been to ITEA yet, what are you waiting for? Their menu is huge and are constantly adding new drinks and foods, there's something for everyone. The parking lot is a bit small and honestly gets kind of hectic sometimes, so be careful of that. All in all, ITEA is definitely a winner!! read more

I love how every time we come here, they have new food and drink menus. Popcorn Chicken: This was different than before since the batter formed more like an outer barrier around the chicken instead of the batter being directly on the chicken. The chicken itself was still juicy and flavorful. Takoyaki: These were so good, fresh, & delicious! They were warm and had the perfect amount of sauce on it. Grilled Unagi Avocado Onigiri: Pretty good but the unagi wasn't as flavorful as the unagidon. It's not worth $10.95 so we wouldn't get it again. Creme Brulee Boba Milk Tea (regular sweetness & ice): It's really creamy and thick but not too sweet. There's barely a brulee top but the boba was good. I still like Feng Cha's better and can't help but compare. Strawberry Blossom (50% sweetness & ice): It comes with heart jellies and was pretty sweet for 50%. The drink itself is good and is a better version of Pretty in Pink from Pekoe. read more

When it comes to popcorn chicken, Itea is my favorite place to go! The chicken pieces are generously sized, juicy, and bursting with flavor. The combination of garlic and basil makes eat bite a perfect balance. Another food item I like to get is their takoyaki. It's a must-try dish!. I tried their grilled unagi avocado Okinawa Onigiri for their first time and I really liked it! The portion size is big and the combination of grilled eel and creamy avocado creates a delightful harmony of flavors. The service is usually pretty fast and they do a good job at keeping their tables clean, which makes for a good indoor seating ambiance. read more

Okay boba but the popcorn chicken wasn't good. Detailed breakdown below: **Service, 5/5** Staff was friendly and quick to prepare the drinks and food. Note that you can only tap/Apple pay with Discover and Visa, no Mastercard. **Decor & cleanliness, 4/5** Decor is okay and everything seemed clean. Indoor seating only. **Price & portion, 4/5** Portions are big but it sacrifices quality. I got a 3G milk tea, half sweet, and I couldn't taste any real tea flavor. I did appreciate that the cup was really big, so even though it came with three toppings there was still a lot of tea. **Taste of the food, 2.5/5** - 3G milk tea, 3/5: Big portion, but I couldn't taste any real tea flavor. The boba was also a bit too hard, so it was either undercooked or left sitting out for a few hours. Half sweet was just right though. - Popcorn chicken, 2/5: It smelled SO good with the garlic and white pepper, but it wasn't enjoyable to eat. It was probably overcooked because the chicken was SUPER dry. Even though it was crispy, the white pepper and garlic flavor didn't come through, probably because it was so overcooked. Hard pass on this one, but open to trying different menu items if I come back. **Other notes** They also sell ramen and musubis! This place is one of the most consistent boba shops in terms of quality of tea and food and it is all tasty! This is my #1 spot for popcorn chicken - topped with basil and cloves of garlic, it is one of the best-seasoned snack foods out there. I feel like they used to include sauce which made it that much more amazing, but the past several times I've gone, no sauce. This is still okay, though since there's just so much flavor in the chicken. I also am a big fan of the spam onigiri - it's a decent amount of food. ALSO, the Japanese egg tofu - YUM. All the foods are good. All the teas I've have been good. I tend to stick to passionfruit green tea and leave out the passionfruit jelly, substituting with herbal jelly. I like that they take their tea seriously, not just layering artificial flavoring and sugar in the tea. It tastes like legit tea at 50% sweet and I couldn't ask for more. But wait, there's more! All of this goodness is SO FREAKING AFFORDABLE. It's one of the best quality tea and snack places but also one of the most inexpensive. My one wish is that they consistently take online orders. Sometimes, I want to pop in an online order to pick up but their website says it's closed for orders, despite the shop itself being open. It's just really nice to beat the crowd, so I'm a big fan of ordering online. Love this place and hope it continues to stay affordable and maintain quality and stays open forever and ever. read more

I find that the drinks here can be a hit or miss for me personally, but i-Tea is one of my favorite places to grab fried snacks; their food is FIRE. There's a lot of food to choose from (from rice bowls, to ramen, and to fried goods), but my go-to is their popcorn chicken and chicken steak. The place gets pretty busy, so be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes for your drink and food. For parking, there's plenty of it in the area. **Popcorn chicken (5/5)** The popcorn chicken is enough to share and it comes with Thai basil and a generous amount of chopped garlic. I love copious amounts of garlic in my food and I also enjoy the seasoning on the popcorn chicken. If you want it spicier, you could ask for more seasoning at the counter. **Chicken Steak (5/5)** Another solid option. Their chicken steak is actually pretty juicy and it's a bit spicier than their popcorn chicken. **Matcha Milk Tea with Red Bean and Matcha Pudding (4/5)** i-Tea is generous with their toppings for this drink. The matcha pudding is good and doesn't taste powdery. It's a satisfying drink. **Brown Rice Milk Tea w/ Chia Seeds and White pearls (3/5)** I can taste the brown rice flavor in this drink, but it can be a tad watery at times. It's a good, basic, non-caffeinated option if you're not crazy about tea. **Hokkaido Milk Tea (2/5)** Not really a fan of this. I was in the area and was craving something sweet but wasn't really in the mood for milk tea or fruit tea and was lucky enough to come across this place in the area that offered a variety of drinks. I decided to get the fresh mango sago and oh man this drink was amazing! It reminded me of mango lassi that we typically drink in the Indian culture. It wasn't too sweet but had the perfect amount of sweetness. The sago was nice and bouncy. I loved how there were fresh mango chunks in this drink too. It reminded me more of a smoothie but wasn't as thick as a smoothie. They did a great job following social distancing protocols. There were clear markers on the floor and plexiglass between employees and customers. Overall, I was really impressed with my drink. This was my first time ever having mango sago and I really enjoyed it. This will be go-to spot when I'm in the mood for sago. read more

Went to i-Tea today to accompany my friend who was craving some boba. Now, dare I say it, I am not a big fan of boba but I have to been other branches of i-Tea's before and with this place I really enjoy the appetizers. When we got here around 7ish pm, there was a long line of people, but there were good social distancing protocols in place which made it easy to feel safe. They had tape on the ground and menus everywhere so it was easy to figure out what to order while waiting in line. Once I got to the front I ended up ordering: *takoyaki - this is my favorite item to get from here and it's relatively reasonably priced. For $8 bucks got 6 pieces of takoyaki which was crispy with sauce. Think there could have been a bit more sauce but overall really enjoyed it. Also was nice it came hot! Overall good place and very popular - I would suggest people to not just try the drinks here but give the appetizers a shot as well - definitely worth it! This place also offered ramen dishes and curry so would want to go back to try that as well. read more

this place deserves a review for it's wins 1st place for best popcorn chicken !! for a boba shop~ THE boba place for snacks. Seriously, get the popcorn chicken. They have the best breading imo! and lots of chicken meat. Also comes with garlic cloves (yummm) and basil. This location also has lots of food options -- more appetizers, ramen, and rice dishes!! I've tried the beef don and it was satisfying. For drinks, the signature milk tea is a good go-to! There's rose milk tea and the oreo smoothie/frosty is really popular. Wow, I cannot believe I haven't reviewed this place after coming here for more than 5 years. The consistency and speed of service is the best in the South Bay. The teas are always fresh and the food is passable if you're in a pinch. B5. 3G Milk tea is my go to followed up by the taro sago and mango sago. The tofuhua with red bean is solid too. read more
One of my favorite boba places :') They are open during covid19 and accepting phone orders. I ordered two drinks for pickup (one large, one regular). People, for the most part, were social distancing within the shop. Luckily I checked before I left the parking lot, but they gave me two regular drinks... I went back and they re-made it. The drinks at i-Tea are pretty good and are fairly consistent across the chain. However, the lady at the counter was cold and rushed us through our order. Additionally, I had to correct her twice and she didn't seem to be listening as I had to repeat the correct drink multiple times before she finally updated it. The K1 is a very sweet and milky drink. It has a caramel taste and with the pudding and boba, you should definitely reduce the sugar for this one. I usually like sweet drinks and never reduce the sugar, but for this one, even 50% should be more than enough. It started getting difficult to drink because it was so sweet at 100%. However, I like the taste of the drink and it reminds me of a dessert. Itea has a very extensive menu and because of this, they can run out of ingredients for some of their drinks regularly. We wanted to order the pineapple fruit tea and they were unfortunately out. The pineapple fruit tea is one of their best fruit tea drinks but tastes syrupy if you don't reduce the sugar to at least 80%. Another drink I've recently tried is the Passionfruit Green Tea. It tastes exactly how you would expect it to taste and is a bit more flavorful than most. Lastly, my favorite is the mango sago. It's pretty steep in price but comes with freshly chopped mangos and sago so you don't have to add any other toppings. It's very sweet but doesn't have an artificial or syrupy taste which is what makes this drink the best. They do serve it room temperature so I like to go home and throw it in the freezer before drinking it. read more

With so many boba shops around it's always best to pick the right place and i-Tea comes on top. Been here numerous times and my favorite are the six pieces of takoyaki balls layer with bonito flakes and Japanese mayo for the price of $7.95 whereas some places charge as much as $10.95. My co-worker had the winter melon tea regular ice 30% sweetness along with four pieces of croquettes or potato cakes for a price of $7.95 I had the pineapple fruit tea regular ice 30% sweetness both were regular size cup price at $4.95 far less than its competitors. Loved their ramen along with pork cutlets with Japanese curry and rice price at $13.95 generous portion size. Rather than waiting in line you can placed your order online and pick up at your convience via text or email. Staff so pleasant and polite no complaint there. Easy parking right next door to Mikonos Grill and right across the street from Bank of America. read more

I've been to it's many times for the last few years but this is my first time writing a review for them. I like that the drinks come with toppings and that I don't have to pay extra for them. I currently get the mango fruit tea which comes with boba and mango jelly, but I substitute the boba for lychee jelly. Substituting the topping is free! Also I get no ice and 30% sugar, and with no ice the drink is still filled to the top! I also enjoy their frosty series when it is a hot day. They also have great popcorn chicken and I really enjoy their curry ramen. You can place an order easily in stores, call in an order, or order through the app. I usually just come and place the order in stores but sometimes the line is very long when I do that, which could be avoided if you ordered by the other two methods. Stopped by this Location after eating at Mikonos. The place seemed pretty busy. I didn't realize they even sell ramen here. We just stopped by for a milk tea. I ordered the wintermelon milk tea, comes with a lot of grass jelly (30% sugar / 30% ice). A bit on the sweeter side even though I asked for 30% sugar. My daughter is typically not a fan of most milk teas, however she really enjoyed this one. She just didn't like how much grass jelly they added. It's a very generous amount. We will definitely come back to try other items here. Great place to go when charging my car across the street. read more

this is the only spot i like to get my boba/milk teas .. but the last two times the drinks haven't tasted the way they used to. i honestly feel like it's watered down. the only thing that comes to mind to me is that this drink has been sitting there for some time for a pick up and no one came so they gave it to me. pretty disappointed since drinks are cost more than before. their popcorn chicken is to die for though. i feel there is a bit more batter than when they first opened but still the best in town. read more
