The Garlic Chicken Wings were amazing. They were fried exquisitely with an endearing, light crunch. Yet the chicken meat was exceptionally tender; this perfect contrast was the way top fried chicken should be. There was also a mild touch of fragrant Chinese five-spice powder mixed into the batter. This was one of the best Asian fried chicken experiences that I've had, though I do wish they could've put a garlic glaze on it, which is what the infamous San Tung (SF) does. That makes San Tung's still the epitome of Asian fried chicken in my book. But this was a great runner-up. The Passion Fruit Frosty was very flavorful and very sweet. May be a tad too much. They do offer you the option of adjusting the sugar level, which I should have taken advantage of. The diced little bits of fruit at the bottom were a good accent. The tables were very clean and the service fairly quick. It is self serve, so they do expect you to pick up after yourself. I've posted a picture of their food menu. I was wondering why no yelper had posted one before from this location. It's because it's stashed behind plexiglass on computer monitors next to the cash register. The glare from the plexiglass makes it hard to capture a pic of it well, as you can see. Others have posted the drink menu, but I'll also post the most recent as of this review. There're also menus posted on the storefront glass, but these have the prices blacked out because they don't want to keep printing out new ones every time the price changes. The computerized versions obviously eliminate the problem. There's a nice parking lot in the back as well, though with all the competing businesses, it might be tough to find a space. read more

Boba/Drinks are pretty consistent. Place is sticky and full of teens. Good place to grab and go- especially on park st. I would not hang around and drink my boba. My go to drinks: brown rice milk tea, chrysanthemum rock sugar tea with boba and honey aloe green tea read more

Came here around 1pm on Thursday and there was a line. The line usually moves rather quickly and the drinks come out pretty fast too. This time, we ordered strawberry mango fruit tea with boba (comes with strawberry and mango pieces) and winter melon tea (comes with grass jelly). Drinks here are consistent and yummy. Love the fast service and variety of drinks. Haven't had a bad drink. Strawberry mango fruit tea: a hint of fruitiness with chunks of fruit, not too sweet at 30% sugar and very refreshing. Winter melon tea: first time trying it and I enjoyed it very much. It has a light taste of winter melon that makes it refreshing and it pairs wonderfully with grass jelly. It gives it a slight bitterness that enhances the winter melon taste. Great for a hot summer day! read more

After walking around Alameda for a while, I decided that i-Tea would be on the menu for dessert. I really only like i-Tea for their Matcha Milk Tea, and it's simply because of the Matcha Pudding. It's the only drink I get from here just because I can't bring myself to get other drinks that I know I could get better made elsewhere. I also tried the Thai tea from here which was ok. There are much better places you could get Thai tea that taste more authentic. This location requires you to wait outside after ordering. They have a speaker phone that calls your number which is nice (I was concerned I wouldn't be able to hear them call my number). No indoor seating available yet! read more

Visited i-Tea yesterday evening and was surprised by the quality of their drink and popcorn chicken! I ordered a jasmine milk tea with grass jelly and popcorn chicken, both came out really good, the quality was there. Initially ordered a jasmine milk tea with lychee jelly and I asked the girl at the register if I could change it out last minute to grass jelly, and she was so kind to do so. I also asked for extra garlic and basil in my chicken, and she had her coworker check for me if that was possible as well, I appreciated that - so service was great! When my popcorn chicken came out, they really did not skimp on my request of extra basil and garlic!! Loved that - thank you i-Tea of alameda!!! read more

iTea still has the best basil garlic popcorn chicken! :) my go to order is a mango sago and popcorn chicken, it never disappoints. This location has a free parking lot and limited indoor seating, but no public restrooms. The front entrance is the only entrance though it looks like there was a way to get in through the door next to the parking lot before. read more

First time here and really dig the watermelon aloe crystal! It was 80s F and that's considered hot in the Bay so the watermelon drink was especially refreshing. The aloe texture along with the crystal made it feel like I was chewing on watermelon bits! Egg puff was also a mix of crunchy edges and soft centers. Even overnight it was still good. I liked the menu is on the wall for east reading! Small space overall but adequate for a hang out with friends. Food was fast and good flow of peiple read more

Best i-tea location! They are quick and the drinks are of good quality. Their customer service is polite and efficient. Sometimes there is parking right in front on Park st but I tend to also park in the backlot they have. read more

Their customer service and drinks were terrible. They started raising their voice and give attitude when I ask them questions about their stamp cards and why I can't use it in person. It was an online stamp card that can't be used in person so I have to order it online and they will void it on their side which they did but the attitude they gave was unnecessary bc I was just confused about how their system works and asked them nicely. They made my drink very fast but they forgot to add sugar so I came back to ask them to add sugar and they still have the same attitude for something thats completely their fault. The drink that they fixed still tasted really bad and bland for some reason. I had that same drink there before and it was never that bad. I recommend going to itea san leandro for the best quality, I only came here bc itea san leandro closed on monday. read more

Workers got my order wrong, barely any tea was added and didn't add any sugar which is usually fine as long as they could have fixed it. When I went back to tell them, they simply added sugar to the hole I poked through the lid of my cup. My drink overall tasted like slightly bitter, watered down milk. I-tea usually does better, was heavily disappointed in the attitude of the employees as well. read more

I tried out the new drink today the matcha oreo brulee and it was really good. the person taking my order was very considerate by asking my preferences and helping adjust my order to my liking. The service at this place is terrible! I come here regularly because it is on my route to and from home but I've not once experienced a pleasant or friendly customer service. They are very snippy, roll their eyes, don't respond when you ask a question or smirk when they feel your question is above them. I hope this review helps them improve their customer service! read more

came in & order my usual jasmine milk tea w boba that i get at any other itea; ordered regular sweetness but when the drink came out it tasted like the employee forgot to put any sugar in it. went back in to ask to remake the drink but they just put sugar through the hole where the straw was placed in -- came out extremely sweet and they didn't even give a new straw LOL we just gave up & left as we were not feeling welcomed anymore read more

Worst customer service ever. Incredibly disrespectful workers, they got my order wrong and gave attitude when I asked for it fixed. The food was undercooked, and clearly done in a rush. Will not be returning again. read more

I've been coming here since 2019, and have had the most issues this year by far. The team working constantly disregards the changes you make to orders, and makes it to how it usually is. The food I've ordered is no longer up to the quality it was before. I had ordered popcorn chicken with no spice, and was left with overly salted popcorn chicken, which I called about and was given a credit under my number. When requested to use the credit towards drinks now that I don't trust the food can be made correctly, I was told it couldn't be done unless a manager was in. I still ordered my drinks, which 1. I get with a lot less sugar due to my partner being pre-diabetic and has a full amount of sugar 2. I ordered a drink that I was told "doesn't usually come with boba" so my drink was made with no boba at all. The lack of care towards the changes and alterations for people's food and drinks is not okay. And can cause people health issues. People that have health restrictions CAN enjoy things anyone else can, if people did their jobs by how it's requested and paid for. Please do better for the sake of your customers. read more

Been coming here since it opened and never had any issues with their food or staff. I love how huge the drink menu is when you walk in. I just wanted a drink so I got the M3 Strawberry blossom drink with boba. I thought it was perfectly made and it was delicious. Staff was nice and my drink was done in a timely manner. The one thing I found annoying when I was waiting inside was how loud the volume was on their speaker. The girl calling the order numbers sounded like she was screaming. It's a small location so I don't think it needs to be that loud but I guess if people are waiting outside they need to hear it too. Nothing wrong with the volume on the cashier side. I use to come here regularly when they had happy hour and I hope they bring it back. read more

Best tea in Alameda, hands down. They also have a great selection of snacks to try. Highly recommend the egg puffs and jasmine milk tea!

This is my moms go to spot for tea drinks , fan of the Thai ice tea and I usually try their specials. I noticed that they redid their website and ordering is much quicker, which is something I really appreciate. It only took 20 minutes for 5 drinks to be ordered. The only glitch I ran into is that the online website doesn't recognize the need a bag feature and goes back to the check out screen.. so bring your own bag. Make sure you bring the person's phone who did the ordering or they will not give you the drinks or like me, send over the confirmation as a snap shot. Only improvement I would recommend is separating the lines for ordering and pick up. Also have thick skin because the staff ain't nice. read more

Came at 8:30pm to get our boba fix. I don't know how it's possible to get bad service at a boba shop but the girl taking our order wasn't too happy last night. My bestie asked to add grass jelly to my matcha red bean smoothie and she looked at him like he was crazy and questioned his request with a slight attitude. Trust me, it's the best combo. It should be on the menu. We received the drinks quickly and one thing I noticed right away is that my smoothie was in a smaller cup than the Oakland iTea location, but it cost the same. Smoothie was $7 and the milk tea was $6. Both tasted great. Location is clean. read more

Plenty of drink options and it's nice that you can choose your ice and sugar level. It's usually pretty loud in there with K-pop music playing so I don't hang around long. It's been awhile but I'm back in the bay! First stop was itea for snacks and drinks to enjoy with my cousins, we ordered four drinks, calamari, popcorn chicken, and the green tea egg puffs. I'll rate the food since the drinks were good as always. Calamari: 7/10 $9.50 (it's no longer the small rings and tentacles, they're like calamari steaks chopped into the length of French fries so this wasn't worth it - my cousins were disappointed too) Popcorn chicken: 9/10 $7.50 I would definitely purchase this again: it's the best popcorn chicken that I've ever tried from a boba shop and I've tried dozens. Matcha Egg Puffs: 5/10, it wasn't very crispy compared to others and it tasted off in my opinion I wouldn't order it again. It was pretty quick service, be sure to ask for extra dipping sauce. read more

Based on the reviews, it sounds like service isn't always good. But maybe I lucked out today or I normally don't require much. Anyway, we ordered one complicated drink that could not alter sugar or be made hot and ended up exchanging the drink for something else. The cashier was pretty patient even though I had to keep going back to my friend about her drink..she was reserving our seats. She also had to repeat herself multiple times cuz I'm almost 40 and I just can't remember stuff..hehe. We all ended up enjoying our drinks. I got the okinawan milk tea with pudding - creamy milk tea at 30% sweetness no ice was close to perfect. It was still a tad sweet. The pudding had good texture and the right sweetness though. My friends got rose milk tea and the lemon iced tea - both enjoyed their drinks. read more

Righteous beverages made with consistency. I recommend the 3G with boba, egg pudding, & grass jelly. Why don't you have paper straws yet? Service is speedy & efficient. Not too warm, but not unfriendly. Lots of kids after school. Weird communication thru tiny distorted speaker that cuts in and out. We have been to this I tea a few times and each time we got boba. This time we grabbed some lunch. The ramen, udon and curry are ok. We weren't expecting much so we weren't disappointed. Their egg puffs are nice and crispy. Hubby got the milky tea with pudding which was pretty tasty. I got the super lime after I requested their most tart drink. Usually don't come to this Itea but it was so hot I decided to stop by. Got a Chrisanthemum D11 lowest sugar is 50% so thats what I got. The drink was so sweet I thought I was in Candy Land. I had my 3 friends try it to make sure I was not mistaken, the sugar level was atleast 100-125% and I had to have them remake it! They were not polite about it either but they still took it in. Got the drink and it looked like water and tasted like water. Ill just stick to my usual San Leandro or Oakland iTea. **Follow up review since the manager replied below** Maybe I was being sensitive. When I had brought back my drink to be adjusted. The girl who hands out the orders decides to help me resolve my situation with an irritated tone as if I was bothering her. The manager who kindly helped fixed my drink probably didn't hear her tone with me as she was busy behind. Tone is everything in customer service and I was a bit unpleased from that. Now, the drink was fine when she gave me half the cup to taste. As she poured the rest of the drink into the cup it got more diluted then sealed. I would love to give this location another try whenever I am in town again. read more

We are regular customers but their customer service has been very poor lately. Some of their cashiers don't even smile like and not so friendly. Drink was okay but the popcorn chicken was bad, just spicy and breasy. I don't taste any other flavor besides a little crunchy. This i-Tea has weird hours, I come here in the evening times (between 6 - 9 PM) and they are closed. I was in the area in the afternoon before work, so I stopped by and grabbed a boba. The cashier was a nightmare, there was 10 people in line which went out the door and people continued to come. She yelled at every person who left the door open, mind you it just opened and was very stuffy. I asked if I can wait until a few people left to close the door and she yelled at me to wait outside! Came back for bobas and snacks during the heatwave. My gosh their snacks quality went downhills!!! I ordered the popcorn chicken and fried calamari. The calamari turned out to be very soggy like it was too frozen for frying. The popcorn chicken pieces are so large pieces, i like smaller pieces of chicken. I prefer eating T4s Basil popcorn chicken, iTeas was effy. The drinks were ok. I ordered by phone and asked for rose green tea, I received rose MT instead which was odd.
