Hyphy burger no add one

Brooooo. I have been wanting to try hyphy burger since I heard about them and last night after a ballers game had the opportunity to try with my homies. Absolutely did not disappoint. One of the best and legit smash burger I have ever had and didn't make me since like those other California competitors *coughcoughINNOUTcoughcough*. Shout out To BYRON who was an angel and absolute delight!! I'll be coming back hyphy burger after ever ballers game from now on! Oh and very clean and plenty of Seating too!

Burnout burger meal

Located in West Oakland is this little gem! My husband and I always pass by and finally stopped in. We just wanted to share a meal so we got the burnout meal and the digital check out had an option to cut the burger in half which made life easier! Service was quick and inside is blasted with brand all over. We grabbed our meal to go ! There was tons of parking too. The shake was hella good! The burgers are smash burger style. Came with jalapeños and banana peppers sauce and cheese. I would def come back! It's worth it!

Hyphy Burger is a solid smash burger

Hyphy Burger is what a smash burger should be. Taking a simple concept complemented by great sauce and fresh ingredients is a win. I highly recommend checking this place out and maybe get one of their cereal themed milk shakes. I'm from the L.A area but will for sure check this place out when I'm back in the Bay Area.

We went to try the fruity pebbles milkshake and ended up getting that one and the cocoa pebbles. They were both delicious. The wait was fast. The service was good. You order at a kiosk but the workers were nice. The ambiance was pretty rough. Lots of tough looking people. A drug deal was happening in the parking lot but they actually were nice! Haha. They were so glad that we reminded them of the milk shake on top of their car. I think it's worth going to but definitely during the day.

Was really excited to finally try Hyphy Burger as it's promos have been all over my social media over the past year and word of mouth seemed to validate it as being a legit competitor in the burger wars in the Bay Area. First things first: the vibe here is obviously the big draw, invoking such a strong sense of Oakland that is unmistakable, from the colorful building basically screaming for your attention as you drive by to the decked out school bus constantly driving around downtown blaring Bay Area hits. The interior, even during down hours is always bopping with an energy from staff that you don't often see which is infectious for anyone lucky enough to walk in. One downside was that they did take their sweet time despite only one other group was inside waiting for their food - something to think about if you were in a rush although it could have been just a one off considering we ordered burgers, fries, and mini donuts. We were so hungry that I didn't even get to take a photo of our food after we got home and basically devoured it all on the spot. The burger was solid - nicely charred with a pretty good sauce that paired well with the crispy fries. Would I say it is the top smash burger joint I've been to in the Bay? Probably not but one of the better ones for sure. Surprisingly the thing that stood out the most for me was the mini donettes that my partner picked out. I'm guessing this was what kept our order up a little longer than we hoped because they were hot as if straight from the fryer and dusted generously with the different toppings and glazes which you can choose an assortment of for your box. They had a great balance of crunch, fluffiness, and sweetness that rivals many donut shops. Overall a great addition to the Oakland food scene that everyone should give a chance to.

Hyphy Burger lives up to the name. Straight Bay Area energy from the moment you pull up. The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and hit that perfect greasy in a good way balance. Fries are solid too, and everything comes out fast. Had me feeling like "tell me when to go" the second I got my food. If you know, you know. This spot delivers that hyphy flavor with Oakland vibes.

Got the regular hyphy burger and added lettuce and tomato. Thought it was just okay- fries and burger weren't anything to write home about.

Simple menu but amazing burgers, fries and shakes! My go to is the hyphy burger with lettuce and tomato. The fries are solid and the Oreo shake is a must! Service is fast and staff are friendly. Place is clean and well lit.

Reese's puffs milkshake

I wasn't the biggest fan of the Reesie's milkshake but I think it's because of the vanilla taste but I tried a strawberry milkshake from them before, and it was super good! The hype burger is delicious. I love the smash patties! The sauce is also super good and it goes well with the burger and the fries! The fries, shocked me in the size for a medium was basically the size of a large, which is incredible! I can't even imagine how big a large is! The size are seasoned good! The mini donuts melt as soon as you bite them. It's super good! I will say the wait time can be a little longer than expected just due to how busy they get, but it's understandable. It's definitely worth the wait! I give it a 10/10! I also love the style of the interior and exterior. It's such a vibe!

Keep hearing the hype from this place and finally got around to checking it out. Glad I did. Excellent smash patty burgers with the perfect amount of maillard. The buns hold up to the toppings. Maybe the only thing I would change is to have a dill pickle than a bread and butter pickle, but we are splitting hairs. The fries are seasoned with salt and pepper, which was a nice turn. The shake was a decent value for the size. All in all, very good burger experience and this is likely the reigning burger in Oakland.

Hyphy burger combo w/ Reese's puff shake.

The Hyphy burger was delicious and the fries nice and crispy. Also tried the mini donuts and Reese's Puff shake; both were okay but probably not something I would order again. Servers were friendly and the seating area was pretty clean overall.

Burn out burger with tomato and lettuce
Felicitas J.

Hyphy burger exceeded my expectations and could be the best smash burger in the bay. I have tried many different spots but this place stands out above them all. The retro feel and Bay Area vibe makes it easy to love. Quick and friendly service. I overheard the cashier very kindly explain the difference between the hyphy and burn out burger. I didn't know what to expect but the burger and fries were amazing. It's around $10 per burger if you add a patty it will cost you. The fries are reasonably priced and unlike any other fast food fries out there. You definitely need to try it for yourself to find out what the hyphy is all about!

Stopped by Hyphy Burger for lunch. I was a little disappointed with the food. I had high expectations based on the social media videos I have seen. Burger came out and the bun was cold. A cold bun just makes the burger not feel fresh. The burger was also smaller than I expected. The fries were okay. It reminded me of in n out fries. Dipped with the sauce, it was really good. Once you run out of the sauce, it isn't as good. I didn't like that it was 50 cents for each topping too. I thought a burger included that but I guess not. It's $9 for just a cheese burger. $10 total with tomato and lettuce. Branding wise - I love it. Would be cool if they made merch and sold it at the store. Inside, the restaurant is loud with music. Good vibes for a party scene or a pregame for a night out.

The fish burger was crispy yet juicy and savory. The bun was soft, but not bready. Not a fillet-o-fish sandwich, but it stood on its own and the portion was enormous! What can I add about the A+ burger that has not already been said? It's the complete burger...and the fried eggplant is its secret weapon! Thankfully I was hungry when I ordered it because by the time I took my last bite, I was extremely full, yet satisfied! And I MUST add that the service here is exemplary! Courteous does not begin to explain how nice the order taking experience was for me as a customer. It was nice, accommodating, and genuine. I love this level of service. Washed down a side a French fried bean with a cold Coke. What a meal!

I ordered the food knowing I would be there in 20 minutes and low and behold the food was scheduled to be ready right around the time I got there. The food was coming out as I got there. Quick service. I didn't eat outside but there's a few tables there. Nonetheless, I ate my food and it was good. The garlic fries weren't oily or soggy. WHEN: Thur @4pm I…read morewanted to come here at opening time for a few reasons: - PARKING: It's downtown so not sure how parking would be. But lucky for us, we found free parking just around the corner! When we left around 5pm, more opened up! I'm guessing it's because the auto repair shop was closing. - THE CROWD: This place is popular and there is usually a line. Though they have a great amount of seatings available (outdoors), but I prefer a space I don't feel like I have to menu ear so much around. - THE FISHWICH THAT SELLS OUT: I was told about this special fried fish sandwich that sells out. So in order to guarantee there will be one for me to order, gotta get there early! It's my first time, and here's what I had: THE FISHWICH - $14.50 Panko crusted rockfish, American cheese, Pickle, Shredded Cabbage, Tartar, Potato Bun. This is a limited supply item that is only available Wed-Sat until sellout. A friend shared it was amazing, but sadly I couldn't agree from one reason: This was bland. I love the softness of the potato bun, the crispy and hot pink-crusted textures, and the generous amount of tartar sauce. But I tasted nothing--just all sorts of texture. I owned up top it though and finished the entire thing. Was I satisfied? No, but my belly is full! THE DRIVE THRU - $10.50 American cheese, Schmalz onion, Pickle, Lettuce, tomato, Special Sauce, Sesame Bun. Overall decent burger, and I enjoyed it. Really can't say more without comparing it to SCOLARI'S but it's a solid burger. HAND CUT FRENCH FRIES - $5.35 Blanched and Fried chipperbec potatoes. I think I enjoyed these fries because they remind me of SCOLARI'S friends, heh. I was surprised I did not see o any of their merch for sale because I'm digging that carton character icon! The brewery it shared a space with has a decent amount of merch though!

Got lucky and parked two blocks away. Lovely's restaurant is also here on the Two Pitchers Brewing premises. See pictures and other 5 star Yelp review. The food was amazing! I was worried when I first saw what my daughter and wife ordered as that was not my wife's usual type of food.. Corn Fritters - My order. The oil they fried this in was dark; I was worried that the oil was old...? But it tasted fresh and good. I would get this again, but prefer a lighter oil next time please. The Chili Willie - My wife's order?!?! And this was good. The jalapenos gave it the perfect kick. I told my wife I am here for the beer, and as light eaters I just wanted to share something with them. Classic Fried Chicken Sandwich - No surprise my daughter's order. Well she wanted your sold out Fish & Chips (which is weird because I think she ate that last night also...?). This was also made-to-order fresh! The chicken had a good crisp until the last bite and was moist inside! Fried perfectly. She also ordered Chili Cheese Fries with that; I guess that is the theme today. Lastly, the soft serve looked so good but too bad it would clash with my beer drinking, lol. To compliment my dinner, or the other way around, lol. Two Pitchers Brewing: 10 of their beers are on tap and the rest are guests' taps. So of course, I had to try their $3 Signature Lager which was too light for me. You basically get what you pay for. Next... Pale Ale - $7, now that's more like it! No IPA today, so I had to settle. My daughter got the Yard Bird, Strawberry Lemonade Beer; it suited her. Ready for my 3rd beer, when my daughter said she wanted to go home and party some more?!?! So I abided. Ambiance - Cool space. Lots of semi private spaces that you can rent. See pictures or their website. Very kid and dog friendly! Unisex restrooms with outside sinks, thank you! NO parking! So bad on a Saturday evening, that we almost did not come. Open 6 days a week. See pictures or their website. Closed on Mondays. Service - Counters service. For both Lovely's and the bar. The outdoor bar is WAY faster service than the inside bar, just an FYI. Same team, but more organized. Price - $49 + generous tip. Including a 3% operations fee/credit card fee, see the small print on the very bottom of the menu. Expensive, even for the Bay Area. But that is the price for quality. 20% gratuity for orders over $250. Owner Comment - Congrats to the building since 1919. Congrats on your success since 2021. Glad we were able to visit. Are you the same owners as Two Pitchers Brewing?

And it's been satisfying and well worth it all three times. I recommend both dining in and delivery. You cannot go wrong with their double burger. I also recently tried the Chopped Beef burger and dang it was amazing. The hearty meat and cheese the and buttery bread texture hit hard. This will be another go-to and I recommend it. For sides I've gotten tator tots, regular fries, and season fries. All fantastic and they're generous with the portions. HOWEVER -- you've gotta get the seasoned fries. Addictive and finger-licking amazing. When dining in staff is always friendly. Area's not too busy and you'll always find parking easily down a side street. I visited Horn Barbecue and I NEED management and ownership to read this carefully--because what I…read moreexperienced deserves to be recognized on a higher level. First of all, my order was TO-GO. And let me tell you... when I got home and opened that bag, I was honestly blown away. My food was packaged with so much care, precision, and pride--it was neat, organized, and handled like it actually mattered. That alone told me everything about the level of service in that building. Candalen--YOU DID THAT. The attention to detail on my plate did not go unnoticed. You treated my food like it was being served in-house, and that speaks volumes about your work ethic and pride in what you do. Aaron--listen... that peach lemon drop??? BABY. That was my first time trying one and it was EVERYTHING. Smooth, flavorful, perfectly balanced--you made that drink an experience all by itself. I will be back JUST for that. And let's talk about the vibe--the music, the energy, the atmosphere--it all came together in a way that made the entire visit feel GOOD. Not just food... a whole experience. But what really stands out is this: It has been a LONG time since I've experienced service this genuine, this intentional, and this excellent. Not rushed, not careless--EXCEPTIONAL. Management, if you are reading this--please understand--you have some powerful people on your team. Candalen and Aaron are the kind of employees that elevate a brand. They are the reason people come back. They are the reason I will be telling others. This wasn't just a good experience. This was the kind of experience that turns customers into loyal supporters. I will absolutely be back--and I will be bringing people with me. Until next time, WUHAPN NATION

Finally, we were so excited to see it was open on a Saturday an we came in for lunch. To order you need to scan the QR code and pay plus tip before a single person spoke to us or offered us help. From the menu we saw they were out of beef ribs, smoked chicken, rib tips, no peach cobbler, no banana pudding and no kool aid. I come for their brisket and my friend loves ribs so we went ahead and ordered combo plates to share. Mine was the brisket with a side of collard greens, she had the pork ribs, a hotlink with a side of Mac-n-cheese, & cornbread. For drinks we had lemonade and an Arnold Palmer. I'm not sure what has happened over the last few months but the quality of the food, the service and the expectation to pay and tip up front were very disappointing. The greens, Mac cheese, brisket and ribs were cold. The hotlink wasn't BBQ'ed it was pan fried. Everything tasted like warmed up leftovers and we will not return. For 2 of us to eat it came to $100 and we were not satisfied. The dining room is an attractive space, it was completely empty. The staff was unclear about what we ordered, had to be told to bring our drinks, bartender is also working as server and apologized for his uncertainty. I suggest this restaurant hire and train more staff if they intend to keep their doors open.
