Got the Bacon Cheeseburger. It was pretty good, took a little while for it to be ready, but it was worth it. Would definitely go again. Also got a diet Cherry Coke.

IB's is located on Lakeshore Ave in Oakland. I nice looking, small eatery, where most customers seem to take their food-to-go, but despite that, there is decent dining area available at this location. The process is simple, order off of the menu above the register, pay, and wait for the food. I thought overall the ingredients were solid. I was happy with the bread, ingredients, the halal meat, etc. Would I visit again? Yes. Best ever cheesesteak? No. But still an ok spot for your cheesesteak fix

Ordering was very simple once your decision is made! It didn't take long for my order to be up. I enjoyed my cheesesteak and am glad I ordered wings too.

Came here for a quick lunch. It's located right in the heart of Lake Merritt. The staff were very polite and helpful when I was placing my order. I ordered the mushroom Philly and it was delicious! They add a good amount of meat into the sandwich, unlike some other places. My sandwich was not soggy and was full of flavor! They also have other items on the menu like wings, burgers, and a ton of different French fry options.

Jamie W and I must have a particular mindset when considering a cheesesteak sandwich. I believe that mindset would likely be... "WHO GIVES A ****? STOP JUDGING ME." We kept passing by this busy spot on Lakeshore and had a weak moment when we decided to ignore our sags and convince ourselves we were twenty-somethings who could eat anything. Under delusions of a zero-calorie world, I ordered the $15 Regular Truffle Steak Sandwich. I added $6 to get the combo of Fries and a Diet Coke. Hey, what can I say? I like a deal. Bypassing the chicken and lamb meat options available, I went with the grass-fed beef as my protein with white truffle aioli and melted Swiss cheese (Photo 10). Give me credit for not ordering a $28 Large. Believe me, the Regular was more than enough for my girlish figure. Of course it was tasty as I was wracked with a guilty conscience with every bite. OK, every other bite. Jamie was not as pretentious as me and went straight for the $13 IB's Original Sandwich with the grass-fed beef. He let the Works carry the heft with lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, mayo, mustard, hot sauce, and cheese (Photo 8). Did I mention I got the Works, too? I couldn't help myself, but hey, Jamie added $6 for his Combo deal. We're all guilty. Of course he liked it, but the pleasure ended once we left. Our real payment came next...if you know what I mean. Bacon steak with chicken and sweet peppers.

I went to IB's recently to grab a bite before heading to the Grand Lake to catch a movie. I've been patronizing this chain since I was a kid and they never really have let me down. During this venture I decided to go with the bacon steak with chicken and sweet peppers. When selecting your sandwich you have a few meat options to pick from including beef, chicken, and lamb. Most of the meat options are also halal I believe. My sandwich was super flavorful as usual and loaded to the brim with toppings. Not pictured are the garlic waffle fries I ended up splitting with a friend which were also crispy and delicious. The vibe of IB's on Lakeshore is casual. There's artwork hung on the walls of their various sandwich selections. This is a good spot to drop by if you're in the area for shopping or a drink and want some comfort food to hold you over. The staff were friendly and our food came out in a reasonable time. Check out IB's if you're in the mood for a hoagie!

located on the street where many businesses are, if you don't pay attention, you will miss this place. Parking is a if you find one, you better park, unless you don't mind a stroll? you'll be fine. The staff here are very friendly, as soon as you walk in, smile with a Welcome In, Hi how can I help you? They don't have a huge menu to chose from, but they do have a variety on the menu, so depending on how your feeling, burger, cheese steak or sandwich, they have options, for the cravings & I'd have to say, mines was satisfied & I was a happy customer. If I'm in the area, I would definitely be back to check out the other options on the menu.

Was in the area and wanted a snack. Garlic fries - 2outta5 They had a funny aftertaste & hardly any garlic. A dash of salt would've gone a long way. Watermelon Lemonade 5outta5 Absolutely delicious. It was refreshing, not too sweet & damn good! I'll definitely be googling a recipe.

A random stop on a journey throughout NorCal turned out to be a gem and highlight!! It's on a busy street where this lots of life. The menu has so many cheesesteak options & I had to go with the chopped cheese. They made sure I understood what went on my meal got me and my friends to buy everything we wanted. We didn't wanna sit inside cause of the energy we could sit next to outside. Super recommend if you're in the area

Huge gross fatty pieces we can choke on.

Honestly. When I first started coming to this location it was fire. But the quality has taken a nosedive. Before, the meat was perfect- chopped up, no fatty pieces, crispy and juicy. And now I get so many nasty huge piece of fat. I lost my appetite eating it. And they used to use these delicious sweet peppers like the cheesesteak shop that was sweet and hot. Now they have these bitter tasteless sweet peppers. Gross. The grease they fry the French fries in is not great. My stomach is literally turning. I spent a lot of money for 3 people and I just want to throw it all away.

I'm forever grateful for that recommendation because they make some of the best sandwiches I've ever had. I've tried a few items on the menu, but the one I always recommend is the Hot Italian. Everything about this sandwich is incredible. It's packed with flavor, and you can honestly tell it was made with care. I usually pair it with a bag of chips, and the total comes to around $18. It's absolutely worth every penny and always leaves me full and satisfied. The shop is consistently clean, and the customer service is always friendly and welcoming. I find myself going back over and over again, then telling myself I need to take a break--only to end up back there a few weeks later. That's how good it is. A couple of things to keep in mind before you visit: there's only limited street parking, so you may have to circle the block to find a spot. There's also not much room to wait inside, although they do have a bench or two where you can sit while your sandwich is being prepared. In my experience, the wait is usually around 15 minutes. I've honestly never been here when it wasn't busy, so expect a crowd. But once you take that first bite, you'll understand why. Great food, great atmosphere, and great customer service. I highly recommend checking this place out!

They have a nice variety of items to grab that go well with your sandwich. The service was friendly and quick. Workers were all kind, and we love that it's dog-friendly! Regarding the sandwiches, you can get a hot or cold sandwich. You can also build your own! Companion got the Hot Boy, and I went the Build Your Own route. The sandwiches are hefty, with lots of great meats and fillings, and for the price, very decent! I wish my bread were a bit more toasted and crunchier, but that's my preference. It hit the spot, and I'd be open to trying their other sandwiches. I don't often go to delis, but Brothers Deli was a nice place to try. We enjoyed it by the waterfront, which makes it a great picnic option. Find them off Park Blvd., with street and residential parking around.

I love that they use traditional cuts for the sisig. A generous portion of meltingly soft gelatinous pig's head (jowl, ears, snout, etc.) is loaded into a bubbly, crackly baguette-bolillo hybrid. The rich, seasoned pig drippings and runny egg yolk soak into the bread without turning it soggy, while the savory soy seasoning, creamy mayo, and mild kick from the chilies make every bite more delicious. I've had their Spicy Hog, steak with mushroom, a few Cubans, but the one that I always come back to is "The Balls" sandwich. First off, this sandwich is massive, so be sure that you come here on an empty stomach. These beef meatballs are seasoned to perfection and bursting with flavor. The balls are covered in their red sauce with provolone and Grana Padano, which gives it that nutty and salty flavor that pairs extremely well with the meatballs and baguette. All the juices and cheese just get soaked up to perfection. The baguette bread they use is supplied by La Farine, which is just a few meters away from each other. Just putting out there that La Farine is hands down one of the best bakeries in Oakland, so it makes sense that this sandwich would be so dang good. I placed two separate sandwich orders online through Clover for pickup under my name. I ordered them about 45 minutes before arriving. When I arrived, I showed Maria my receipts and gave her my name. She briefly checked and told me she did not have the orders. The line was long, so I understand things can get hectic, but it did not feel like she was making much of an effort to actually verify the orders. She even misheard my name and was about to hand a sandwich to someone else under a completely different name. At that point, I became concerned that one of my sandwiches might have already been given to another customer. After I continued asking her to check, she somehow found one of my orders in the same area she had already looked. However, only one of the two sandwiches was there. I showed her my Clover receipt again, including the date, timestamp, transaction information, and order details. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, she told me she did not know how to use the Clover system and could only search by name. She then told me I needed to contact Clover myself. I was honestly shocked because she was the manager but said she did not know how to use the restaurant's ordering system. When I explained I could not find a customer support number for Clover and asked what she could do to resolve the missing order, her response was essentially, "I don't know what you want me to do about it." I asked how the restaurant communicates with Clover when there is a problem with the system or how they diagnose issues with the device. Again, she said she didn't know and that the owner was responsible for the Clover system. I asked if I could speak with the owner and requested a contact number. She refused to provide one and told me I could come in early on a weekday if I wanted to speak with them. I'm not from the area, so expecting me to make another trip simply to speak with the owner was not a reasonable solution. What made the situation even worse was that I did not receive a refund for the missing sandwich. I paid for two sandwiches but only received one. Despite showing proof of payment and the order details, there was no attempt to refund the missing item or offer a replacement. Whether the missing sandwich was caused by Clover, a restaurant error, or someone accidentally receiving the wrong order, I would have expected the manager to make a reasonable effort to fix the problem. Instead, I was essentially told it wasn't her problem. Mistakes happen. Technology fails. Orders get misplaced. I understand all of that. What matters is how a business handles the problem afterward. In this case, the customer service was extremely poor, and Maria's attitude made the situation considerably worse. I've also noticed other Yelp reviews mentioning similar customer-service issues, which makes me concerned this isn't an isolated experience. I hope the owner sees this review and takes the time to address what happened. Little Lucca might have good food, but good food doesn't excuse poor customer service or charging a customer for an item they never received. I paid for two sandwiches, received one, was not refunded for the missing sandwich, and was given no reasonable solution. Extremely disappointing experience.
