This is a nice cozy coffee shop without a bunch of people being really loud. If you want a good cup if coffee/expresso without being bothered this is the place to be. They also offer sandwiches if your hungry during your stay there. The staff is pretty friendly as well. read more

So I am basing this review on a one time visit. Yes, this cafe is very, very small inside. They have a few tables in front and a big patio area in back. Free wifi with purchase which I didn't use. Okay, I ordered a decaf vanilla latte and a chicken pesto panini (with small side salad) and it came out to be just above $10. That's a little pricey in my opinion. Decaf vanilla latte: I got the 16 oz since that was the smallest they had and since I was staying they gave it to me in a mug which I love. There is nothing better than enjoying a nice, foamy latte in a mug! But wait... my latte was foamless. It was weird. And I love foam. Other than that it was okay. Sweeter than I am used to and less of a coffee flavor. Chicken Pesto Panini: So the sandwich was $7 I think and it was kind of bleh. The bread was more chewy than crunchy and it got a little soggy from the pesto and such. The side salad was good. Overall there wasn't anything special in my experience. I guess I may be a little biased since I work at a coffee shop but I love going to other cafes and this one just didn't cut it for me. But I'm glad I tried it. Just don't get a sandwich if you don't want to gamble your hard earned $7! read more

Love this spot! They have an AMAZING chipotle chicken panini sandwich. Really nice and quite area of Arcadia, located near a few haircut/nail bars/spas. They have indoor and outdoor seating, with a nice private patio and parking in the back. Overall love this ambience and love the food! Super ideal place for studying or for even a meeting. When I walked in the store with my friends, the lady who works there immediately gave us dirty looks. After asking her for the wifi, she told me "I already gave it to her" (she was talking about my friend) with an attitude. Then, when I sat down, she comes up to one of my friends who didn't order and asks her to order something when I already ordered something. I don't understand why there seems to be a policy that each person must order. The lady then walks back to the cash register and stares at us while we're sitting. Very rude owner who was very snarky when my friend and I walked in with a Starbucks drink. Instead of kindly asking us to throw it away she was snappy and rude and made us feel very unwelcome (I wouldn't have had an issue with it if she wasn't rude, I understand the policy). I came to this place near daily for about three weeks while working in the area on a short-term job. Can't say enough good things about this place! Their cold brew is delicious and reasonably priced. I love the paninis. They have reliable wifi, and there was always an empty table for me to set up and plug in my laptop so I could work for several hours in peace. The employees were always friendly and soon recognized my regular order. Easy street parking all around the block. Wish I lived closer so I could go back more often! This place is amazing ! There baristas are very knowledgeable and have great customer service. During the week days they have some tasty lunch specials that come with a free drink . And there specialty espresso drinks are the best I've ever had , I would recommend the full moon. They also make super cute latte art , they also have a beautiful back patio and its dog friendly . The reason for the 1 star is solely because I had met someone here who had already ordered an iced coffee before I had arrived. When I had sat down, after 5 minutes, a woman who I think was the manager or owner of the establishment had approached me and asked me if I could buy something because business hadn't been doing so well. Essentially, I was put in a very awkward position and was forced to buy SOMETHING so i settled for a $0.60 banana. I felt that was not okay nor was it professional for someone to approach me to pressure me into buying something. I love coffee. I also love quaint coffee shops. The location of Hyper Coffee is just adorable, because I love it when a street has a small town feel to it. I came to this little cafe during my lunch break, and I was quite relieved to see that there wasn't a line. There were a few people seated at tables, tapping away at their laptops, and sipping on their drinks. I marched up to the counter, in a nice way of course, and ordered an iced Nuttin Honey with a Curry Chicken Panini. I was a little thrown off by the semi-unhelpful attitude of the girl who took my order, but I shook it off. Boy, I totally should've gone with my gut feeling and canceled my order when the girl was giving me attitude. I waited around for a REALLY long time, because they had a trainee make my food AND drink even though there were 3 people back there, with NO ONE ordering after me. The trainee kept pausing at every step to ask for an explanation on how to do things. Seriously? It's lunch time on a weekday, where there's a time constraint for people to buy and eat their lunch. Could they not have trained him at another time? Or have him shadow one of the experienced employees as they filled my order? Aside from the terribly long wait, the food and coffee weren't even that good. I could hardly taste the coffee in the Nuttin Honey :( The panini was bland, super bland, and the bread was ridiculously hard. Since they wasted so much of my lunch time, I was rushing to eat my lunch, but ultimately gave up in trying to gnaw through the tough bread. Was happy to find out about this place after moving to the area and feeling like there were barely any coffee shops. I have enjoyed their yummy coffee treats and good panini sandwiches. Something that would elevate their game would be to offer all natural chips with the sandwiches instead of Cheetos or lays which are full of artificial ingredients and preservatives. I used to stop in this place for lunch about once a month. It'd been quite a while since I'd done that, so I thought I'd try the place out again. The three in my party ordered Panini sandwiches off the lunch special ($7.99). I asked to pay the 50 cent iced tea refills I remembered from the past, but was told there were "no substitutions" for drinks with the lunch special. OK...I paid for 3 additional drinks at $2.50 each. When my friend wanted more lemonade, I was surprised by having to buy another at full cost. Since I didn't have cash, the owner lady wanted an additional 40 cents for the credit card fee...this was after my $33 initial order. After spending that kind of money on a nothing-special coffee shop lunch, the last thing I would've expected was for the ownership to nickel and dime on tea and lemonade refills.
