Part of the bar is table height while the rest is standard bar height, which made the experience feel intimate while still being part of the energy of the room. Our bartender was very friendly. For antipasti, we ordered the eggplant parmigiano and the four-meatball sampler with bolognese. The eggplant is best described as an eggplant treated like a blooming onion: a whole eggplant cut into about 10 pieces, left attached at the stem, and deep fried. The crust was crunchy and the inside soft. It came with marinara and aioli, both nice additions, but it was great on its own. All four meatballs were fantastic. My wife ordered the Tonnarelli alla Nerano. It was good when it arrived, but once it cooled it became plain and clumpy, almost like mac and cheese. That was the only downside. The bartender noticed her plate was mostly full and asked if we wanted it boxed and whether everything was okay. We told him we were just full and thanked him for checking on us. I never expected to find wings this good here, but they're honestly the best in Keller. They offer a wide variety of flavors, and the Keller Kick is my personal favorite. The Tavern still delivers with a strong beer and liquor selection, and the menu has plenty of other great options. But as you can probably guess, I'll always point you toward the wings first. If you're looking for a laid-back spot to hang out and enjoy some seriously excellent wings, Keller Tavern is absolutely worth a visit.
