Tried a blueberry scone and the "Eire" sandwich, both were delicious! Will definitely be back whenever in the area.

One of the best things about staying at Superior Stay Boutique Hotel in Marquette was the Huron Mountain Bakery pastries that were offered for breakfast. I am sorry we didn't stop by to check out the bakery and bring home more Orange Naranja with cranberries and see what else we could have tried. (I am concerned about Logan S' review and hope someone follows-up to confirm or deny his/or her allegations.) read more

The coffee and muffins are okay, but the donuts and bread are what you should really be here for. Delicious and lots of kinds to choose from! My favorite bread is the garlic, pepper and swiss. The staff are friendly and they keep the place nice and clean, with a light, mostly quiet atmosphere. read more

Stopped by this morning for coffee and a sandwich. This place has some a great selection of yummy-looking pastries. Everything from regular doughnuts to schones to muffins to designer cakes. My wife had a cinnamon butterfly (roll) and hot chai. She loved both of them. I had The Michigan, which was one of their roast beef sandwiches. It was delicious. My cup of brewed coffee was also great. The employees were very nice and patient with us while we decided what to order. Great place! read more

I was very offended today when I went in by a young man who chose to greet me by saying "it's the world's most beautiful woman, how can I help you?" Maybe he thought it was good customer services but I was offended. I'm talking my local business elsewhere from now on. read more

Top notch bakery. Everything, I mean everything, I have had here has been fantastic. Every time I am in Marquette I stop by, I love bringing home something delicious from this place. Their muffins, cupcakes, sandwiches, breads, and everything else. The selection is great and the service is always pleasant. When i roll in to Marquette I always think to myself, what would happen if I just decided to move into the bakery and never go home. I mean, I would weigh 600 lbs, but really at that point who cares. Enjoyed a piece of cake at an anniversary party I attended...it was divine. The style of the cake matched the original wedding cake for this couple (celebrating their 70th). The cake was moist and oh so flavorful and the frosting was so good...not too sweet. Plus there were these amazing truffles! The Cake Guy, Joe Heck, was such a helpful guy. He even brought a cake stand that matched the party decor. It was such a beautiful party for a beautiful couple and Joe's work just elevated the occasion to make it as special as it could be. Yum! Local breads and donuts are really tasty and super, duper fresh. The coffee is extremely good. Great place to stop in and pick up a treat and a road coffee. Travelers should stop in here instead of the local gas stations to release and restore (teehee). read more

Its understandable if it takes time to make food, other than the fact it is stated you guys open at 6. Got there at almost 6:05 AM to order some nice pastries. Saw a worker inside but it looked dark, called the store and got no answer. Awesome service!!! read more

Love this bakery and all that they sell. Their artisan breads are creative and delicious. They have the best donuts, muffins, and bagels in the UP. Then there are the wonderful cakes and deserts. We go every time we are in Marquette. This is also a business very supportive of the community. Wish there were more businesses like this. read more

This place is GREAT. Good prices, and the food is always fresh. I had a red velvet cake from here for my birthday-- best I've ever had. I've also tried their donuts, cupcakes, muffins, pastries, and bread. No complaints. The apple pie bread is definitely a favorite! read more

Stopped on our way out of town for car trip snacks. The bagels, donuts, and muffins were all fantastic!

My family loves Huron Mountain Bakery and we go there every time we come to Marquette. We love their bread and bagels and it's a very convenient stop outside the city. One of their employees, Mike, is always super friendly and makes us feel very welcome every time we come in. Him and the other staff make the place that much better. What happened? Bought am apple coffee cake. Literally yuck. Easily tasted better out of a box mass produced. Maybe the bread and donuts still cut it not sure but coffee cake never again. read more

Stopped in to get my girlfriend coffee on the drive home to Detroit from Minnesota, and we decided to get some food as well. I am very glad that we made both decisions. She got a jalapeño cheddar bagel with veggie cream cheese and a vanilla latte. She said the coffee was good and her only real complaint about the bagel was that she had to spread the cream cheese herself. The flavors were exactly what she wanted, but the bagel was not quite as chewy as she would have liked. I got the Ontario sandwich, which has prosciutto and arugula, shaved parmesean, Romano, and asiago cheeses, and a butter sauce on a French baguette. The fresh bread was amazing, and the sandwich as a whole was quite good, made with quality ingredients. I grabbed a mustard packet on my way out because I was afraid the sandwich might be dry but was very happy to not use it after I had my first taste. Overall, I was very satisfied with this little bakery. The sweets also looked very appetizing but sadly we did not order any. I suppose that is another reason to stop in the next time we pass through town! read more

This is a great bakery! We've come here in the past just for the bread, which is fantastic. They have your safe standbys with baguettes, sourdough and ciabatta but also have special blends as well. You can get sandwiches here for lunch. The cupcakes are as decadent as they look! Just this last weekend they made an impressive golf theme birthday cake for my husband. The best part was that it was super tasty as well. The price was also very reasonable, shocking my Illinois in laws on how well priced it was. You should just go there already! read more

I am obsessed with this place! Everything from there breads to their donuts and Joes Cakes! We always get a joes cake for any special Occassion and they never disappoint! This is an awesome gem in Marquette. Parking is tight in the lot, so you may have to park at a business next door. I came here at the end of my vacation and ordered a Double Chocolate Donut, a Blueberry Muffin, and an Americano. Both the donut and muffin were delicious! The staff were very nice and friendly despite having to run around a bit and deal with a lot of customers! My only disappointment was that they didn't have soy milk for coffee. read more

The prices are good, and the quality is better! I make sure to stop here at least once every time I visit Marquette. This establishment is easily better than any dunkin donuts by my hometown with their pastries but most importantly the quality of the staff. Everyone is friendly and willing to help. During my work travels around the country, I buy doughnuts and baked goods for my trainees, and I generally try to avoid the chains, although I think they wouldn't survive here if they did open with this place in town. Had the double chocolate and honey dew. Oh Honey, DO go get a doughnut from here when in town. Treats were gone in minutes of me opening the box. Coffee was good. Going back tomorrow to get the croissants...some for the trainees, and a few for me for a long drive to the next site. Great selection of fresh homemade breads, pastries and donuts. The cinnamon raisin bread is the best, my family usually fights over the center pieces that have a delicious cinnamon sugar "goo" that makes this bread unbelievable. read more

I'm glad I don't live in Marquette, MI because... if I did, I would spend way too much time at this donut/bread heaven. Every time we visit my son at NMU, we drop by this bakery to take donuts home with us. If they made donuts like this in Chicago, these folks would rule the town. When you visit, tell them they're known 400 miles away in Chicago, IL. Give 'em a try. read more

Have not been to Huron Mountain in awhile but every time I do find myself in Marquette I like to stop here! If available I always get a few Jalapeno Cheddar bagels, I love the spiceyness of the jalapeno, it's such a flavorful bagel! I have gone to this bakery for awhile now, I would've given 5 stars except that recently I have bought bagels there that go stale a day later. Eating whole wheat bricks aren't fun :( They need to throw out old stock, and not pawn it on the public days later. Other than the old bagels, the pies, cakes, muffins, and doughnuts are excellent! read more
