First thing the employees greeted me as soon as I walked and I knew this was a great place because not just the employees but the other patrons all were very friendly, just a great vibe! The owner truly treats everyone as a friend, making sure they have what they need, sampling some gelato, or cheering with his cowbell for any runner that goes by. And yes, the gelato, they have flights! A great treat anytime of the year. I love the amarena cherry. You can also make it an affogato. Extremely noisy, I can see why: I had to shout to be heard by the person across the table from me. I only had coffee, since their pain au chocolat looked more painful than anything. I find myself regretting that decision, if only because I'd have had something to balance out the sour flavor of the cold brew I ordered that was (perhaps accidentally, since the kid at the counter was giving me a death glare, I would not care to speculate whether it was because of my Am Israel Chai necklace or my being visibly queer; the owner claims his staff is well-trained, but clearly most of the customers are elderly white tourists based on what I saw and other reviews) certainly lacking "fruity" notes and had a flavor roughly on par with watery Dunkin Donuts (not desirable) with slightly less char. I've tried to avoid this coffeeshop because of the lack of selection on the menu and the location that's suited to tourists instead of locals, but the person I was with is from out of town and doesn't realize that better options exist further away from the downtown area and lakeside tourist hotels and condominiums. My advice would be to go to the same store that the owner stocks marked-up SmartWater (another review asked if the $4.01 price is a joke, but no: it's just a "tourist tax") from, Meijer. Have yourself a picnic on the actual lakeshore itself in the nearby Lower Harbor Park, which offers a much better view of Lake Superior, the Old Oredock, and a refreshing ambiance. read more

I love the location of Provisions MQT as it's near the downtown area of Marquette and along the water. They have a variety of gelato available and coffee. Even better, you can order an affogato and have the best of both worlds. read more

Absolutely recommend. The friendliest staff were so welcoming and kind. Sprinkle donut was a big hit with kiddo- savory and sweet pastries were delicious for the adults. Coffee was awesome and the overall vibe was really modern, fresh and fun. Wish we lived nearby! read more

Excellent coffee, friendly service, and a big open windowed space to relax or get some work done. A great place to relax.

The service was poor seems the baristas friend ordered just before me and they had some socializing to do. Seems also the friend didn't like her first drink so barista took time to make her another. 12 minutes later my almond milk cappuccino was made. It was the absolute most AWFUL cappuccino I have ever had!! Tasted like it was made from toilet water. I won't be back nor do I recommend this place! read more

Stopped in to Provisions on Lakeshore, neighbors to the Hampton Inn on Lakeshore in downtown Marquette and was very happy with the quality of coffee and gelato. The place is very spacious, bright white, super clean. They sell housewares and wearables as well. We enjoyed their latte and gelato so much that we returned the next day for the same things we ordered the day before!! Wow. So I tried this place twice. First time, I asked for a drink "for here," was told "we're closing in 20 minutes." I said "okay!". I recieved a drink to-go. I let them know I wanted the drink "for here," was replied with "okay... sorry?" Then I asked if they would remake it for here, "no." Silence. Then I asked what they could do about it, "I can pour it in a for here cup." Took long enough... I tried some gelato and it was pretty bad, my soy lattee had no flavor. It feels weird saying that because usually it's an exaggeration but this time it's not. Someone walked in right when they closed as I walked out, haha. Second time, I asked if I could read one of their books they have for sale outside. "No." ... "Can I read one inside?" I was returned with a judgmental look "No, they're for sale." My boyfriend said the women said something under her breath while I put the book back. Also the place reeks of pinesol, so if you're into that this is the coffee shop for you. My boyfriend loved the smell. Lots of fun cooking supplies and books! The lady behind the counter eyed us the whole time as if we were going to steal or break something...
