And Found Huron Bakery It is one of the best bakery we have been too! Their Bagels and Sandwiches were just amazing. The Jalapeño Cheddar Bagel , was flavourful , and perfectly baked - crispy on outside soft on inside . Their Erie sandwich too was just so fresh, flavourful, refreshing and filling. One of the best bakery we have been too - better than most of the European Bakeries we have explored Service - was also absolutely great. Rolling into town for the fourth, we found a crowd pleaser in this little bakery. A dozen donuts were presented well in a clean bakery. They have a variety of options for sugary or savory lovers. Along with making our pickiest eaters happy, the service was excellent. We have a severe peanut allergy. The workers went to the back to pull the least likely contaminated (by peanuts) donuts for our group. Not only did they pay attention to our feedback, but they went above and beyond to ensure safety for our party. In addition, they selected their top sellers for our donut box. Cute little bakery off the highway. Clean, smells great inside, everything looks so fresh and enticing! Wide selection of baked goodies, the girl behind the counter was helpful with my questions, and everything I tried was pretty darn good. The macarons were a little pricey for my sweet treat but the Vanilla macaron was worth every penny. I wasn't a huge fan of the chocolate but still tasty, overall! The coconut cookies were my favorite-chewy in all the right ways, great coconut flavor, buttery and delicious. The peanut butter brownie(?) was incredible. Amazing The cinnamon rolls are delicious!! But the star of the show are the breakfast croissants sandwiches they are premade so when they are sold out that's it for the day. Decided to grab some bagels and muffins for breakfast here while in town. The bagels are phenomenal and HUGE. The double chocolate muffin my daughter had was good, but a tad dry. Picked up a loaf of cheddar jalapeño bread to take home. It was really good and reasonably priced. Definitely coming back next time we're in Marquette. read more

This review is for "the trolls" (aka us down staters. Specifically if you're from Grand Rapids) Huron can be hit or miss. We're from Grand Rapids so we have no shortage of amazing bakeries in our area. Hudson falls short compared to our spots back home and lacks the refinement and options of the downtown MQT bakeries/cafes. I've gone back and forth on this bakery but the donuts have no fruit, not even the apple cider or apple fritters. It's just dough, that I'm not entirely convinced is not frozen dough. The case is full of beautiful sweets. I'm not sure they are made in house but they are pretty. It's nice for the kids to get a big cookie. Again, the muffins are hit or miss. They do have fresh baked bread, which is perfectly fine. It's still better than the store bought. If you're looking for an alternative to their awkward decoration and "is this a frozen donut" vibe, downtown has some great bakeries!! 231 is more our vibe and the pasties are amazing. Baby Cakes never fails to blow us away. Both have Wealthy Street Bakery vibes. Also, just a fair warning, they have no problem throwing their politics in with your morning treat. It's cringe. They lost a star simply for this. No one needs a picture of Ronald Reagan while trying to eat some baked goods. So bottom line to my down south, city loving besties: head downtown for your baked goods and coffee. Unless you need fresh bread, there is nothing much here for us. Good sandwich and some good deserts. Unfortunately the counter help was not helpful. When we asked about the various deserts the response was "I don't know, I don't eat them" followed by nothing. Do you ever have that feeling you've interrupted someone's time playing on their mobile. That's exactly how we were made to feel. Atmosphere: Ample parking with two entrance doors. Several tables to sit at and eat or you can easily take your items to go. Service: Fast and friendly. They will slice the loaves of bread for you. Food: The scones, donuts and bread were all delicious. I can't wait to hit this place up again once I'm back in town. read more

We stopped by for a couple of donuts on our way out of town. They were delicious and they had a good variety. I really wish they had a fritter though - that's my usual and use it to compare donut places. Its hard to see all of the options over the front bakery cases (especially for those of us who are vertically challenged) so bring your tall friend or wear your tall shoes to see all their options. read more

We went here at least 3-4 times during our trip to Marquette. It's the only bakery in town, so we had to try it. If you try their freshly made croissants, donuts, pastries, they are excellent - especially the vanilla and chocolate angels. I was less impressed with late-in-the-day croissants. read more

A local recommended this bakery to us and we enjoyed it! We had an almond croissant and a raspberry macaron! We did go in the early afternoon, and I personally think to get the most out of this experience it would be best to go in the morning when things are fresher. I enjoyed my almond croissant, gave it a 4/5, and the raspberry macaron was good however it received a 3/5 due to price, in our opinion. They also have a million different options, so there's something for everyone. Atmosphere is fine, most likely would take it to go! read more

Love this bakery! We were in the U.P. for a few days and stopped at this bakery 3 times. My boys loved the bagels and donuts. I am still dreaming about the chocolate croissant. After years of driving past Huron Mountain Bakery on our way into Marquette, it was time we finally stopped. This is a local favorite, as indicated by the retired folk eating pastries, drinking coffee and reading the newspaper. There is so much to choose from - donuts, muffins, bread, cookies. If it's a dessert, you can probably find it here. They have breads of the day, too. And yes, it tastes as good as it smells and looks. read more

Work brought me to Marquette MI Passed by this bakery everyday on my way to job site So happy I stopped in yesterday, Friday the 7th I have an addiction for fresh baked goods, especially Apple fritters !! I called before going in to be sure they had Apple fritters. They did & do I was in my semi truck with trailer so didn't want to take up all the space if they didn't have fritters I was greeted by a very friendly women The fritters looked amazing so I bought 6 Seen the Everything Bagels, they were YUGE Bought one with veggie cream cheese asked to have it double toasted Looked over at the doughnuts and seen they had peanut doughnuts, my absolute favorite so I bought 12 lol Can't get peanut doughnuts anymore in Chicagoland due to peanut allergies ????? What the hell is that ??? Lol Paid the bill and headed to my truck The bagel smelled amazing... double toasted, just like I asked Smeared the veggie cream cheese on and ate that bagel as if I hadn't eaten in weeks . It was by far the best bagel I have ever had I wen back into the store and bought a dozen to take home. I was so excited about how delicious the bagel was, I had to try the fritter ..... I am a over the road trucker, I get fritters all over the country .... Anything you'd want is here! We were on the Lake Superior Circle tour driving by and they got me at "bakery"... Was shocked upon entering that they had donuts, scones, muffins, brownies and fresh baked crusty bread! I wanted one of everything! Got the chocolate chocolate cake donut. Yum! I gave this place a second try because they didn't have either of my all time favorites the first time - the glazed old fashioned or glazed blueberry cake. This time I got the glazed old fashioned and it was good. Just good though. The texture was nice, crispy outside and soft inside but lacked flavor.
