No surprise; as soon as Smokin'Hubster and I moved to the area, we had to figure out who had the paczki. The bakery is amazing and it would be hard to select what to taste, except that I was a woman on a mission. I stopped in the week before Fat Tuesday. Placing the order was easy and took only moments to complete. I returned for Mardi Gras and the bakery was understandably busier. There were folks that failed to plan ahead, so their paczki pleasure was impacted. Me, I walked in, the same helpful person was retrieving orders and I picked up my pre-paid dozen quickly. The paczki were amazing and brought me right back to Michigan. The paczki we had in MN were good, but they aren't the same. And I've honestly never had paczki that were SO filled. And the fillings were so fresh, so perfectly balanced with the pastry. We tried six varieties (oof, yeah!) and loved them all. The prune paczki is an easy favorite, being traditional, but that Bavarian Cream was sublime. I was completely spoiled. It was fun that my first visits here were for 'holiday shopping,' which makes me look forward to coming back and trying more yummy baked items! read more

Wow, this place is good. A surprising variety of items, and everything we tried was way better than our level of expectations. The powdered donut was simply superb, the blueberry-filled donut was delectable with an outstanding filling of blueberries, the chocolate croissant was all that, and even the bagels they serve--from a bagelry in Marquette--were first-rate. We bought additional goods to take with us. The only possible room for improvement would be the coffee, which, while not bad, didn't rise to the level of the baked goods. A small issue, and one that should not stop you from going out of your way to visit this impressive bakery. Thank you to the bakers!! read more

Huron Mountain Bakery is to die for. When visiting the Ishpeming location we did notice that they sell out quicker than the Marquette location. This could be because they don't prepare and bake the same amount of product as their other location. The sandwiches, pastries and donuts are all amazing! Brought a dozen bagels to some workers and am now the hero. They love me! Everything here is amazing-the Bavarian cream filled donuts are my all time favorite. Food is fine. Service was horrible, she double charged us for a 7.50 cents dessert and when I went back in to tell her, she rolled her eyes and said " let me see" in a rude tone. Like she couldn't believe it. Then she rudely said she can't give us cash or money back into our card and it had to be a gift card. Then when I explained that we will not be coming back because this was the first and last time, she got even more rude. I definitely do not want to go back due to her attitude and behavior towards customers. read more

Huron Mountain Bakery is one of my favorites! You can't go wrong with a box of donuts or their sweet selection. I had Joe and his staff cater cupcakes and a cake for my wedding and it was unbelievable service. They provided everything I needed and brought it to my reception. As a bride, weddings can be stressful and they made it easy! I have to say though, the cupcakes were so tasty they did not last long! If anyone is looking for sweets for a wedding, bridal or baby shower, etc I recommend them! read more

Excellent wood-fired pizza! My hubby and I ordered an extra cheesy pizza. It came out hot, crisp, and excellently cheesy. It was nearly perfect. We also ordered pastries. Neither one of us were impressed by them. I had a blueberry cream cheese croissant, and it seemed like the filling was an afterthought. There just wasn't much in it. I wouldn't hesitate to come back here for the pizza. The pastries...well, I might give them a second chance. Maybe it was just an off day. read more

This is the first time we ordered pizza from Huron Mountain .. it was horrible. We had the margarita, which was dry and with very little flavor... and the sausage and peppers. This pizza was better. But not by much. The peppers were mushy and the pizza didn't have much more flavor then a frozen. Actually. I would have preferred a frozen .. I hate to give a review like this. Besides the food, you can't get better service than this. It's over an hour from where I live, so I usually stop in for a to-go sandwich or salad or a few pastries or sesame bagels, the only kind I like. But since they're often without those yummy sesame bagels, I pre-ordered a dozen this week so I could freeze them. For some reason they weren't delivered from the Marquette bakery in time, so when I stopped in later to pick them up, they gave them at half-price. So cool. And their samples of Hawaiian pizza were great, hope they soon have that as a regular pizza option! read more

Ishpeming doesn't have a lot of food options. HMB is one of the better spots. Standard donuts and bagels for breakfast options. Jalapeño cheddar bagels are fantastic. Salads and sandwiches for lunch options are great. Pretty sure the Greek salad for $7 comes with $7 worth of olives and feta alone. The Ishpeming location, and only the Ishpeming location (for now), is offering wood-fired pizza in their new wood oven. They have only been offering pizzas for about a week now. One of the pizzas that I tried was the BLT pizza. There were layers of colorful tomatoes, cheese, crunchy bacon, shredded lettuce and homemade garlic aioli. I loved the sweetness of the tomato with the crunch of the lettuce and bacon. One of my FAVORITE type of pizza is the Margherita pizza. There was a thin layer of tomato sauce, whole fresh basil leaves, and thinly sliced scattered melted fresh Mozzarella. The only thing I would have changed, or wished more of, was the Mozzarella cheese. read more

This place blew me away, my wife and i stopped in for a pastry and coffee, wife had a mocha, all was good until we noticed the wood fired oven soooo of course we had to try aleast some bread sticks cooked in this, WOW these were literally THE BEST BREAD STICKS! we have had. Also the sauce was very tasty . To bad we were full because i think the pizza would have raised the bar for my favorite pizza stop. I will try it next time we are in the area.
