Jilbert Dairy was a great experience! Great unique options and flavors! I got the blueberry waffle cone and it was delicious. We also got birthday cake ice cream and it was good. It is receiving a 4 star just because you are unable to test out any of the flavors unfortunately.

Large variety of choices. They don't do samples, which is hard when you have never had some of these flavors. I also got sprinkles that I was charged $.75 for and they were stale. The ice cream we got was good though! My sister got whip cream and it was blue, very fun.

Yuuuum!!! So glad this place was recommended to us! Leaving Sugarloaf we were looking for a place for ice cream not too far away, and this place fit the bill! Place was packed, and there was only one person working, but she was cranking through people, so our wait wasn't too long. My husband ordered the Great Lakes Pothole, and I got the Blueberry and waffle cone ice cream both on waffle cones and both flavors were ridiculously delicious!! We're definitely going back tomorrow!!!

This is another place I used to visit as a kid. My trip home took me to a bunch of places like that and I had fun showing my husband all the places I loved as a kid! Jilbert's was no exception. I used to visit with my aunt and get my blue ice cream. I love cows and the fact that they had a giant cow for you to take photos with made my dreams come true. It defiantly seemed bigger when I was a kid but it's still pretty big! There's a nice seating area around the cow We went inside and instead of my usual as a kid, my tastes have changed a bit, I went with the coconut and chocolate one. YUM!! This combination has been a favorite of mine lately and this was so tasty. I enjoyed my ice cream next to a giant cow just like when I was a kid and then we jumped in the van and headed home. I love this place!

Still dreaming of that peanut butter Mackinac Island fudge ice cream. Jilbert's is Michigan ice cream, and this location is "headquarters", so to speak. It looks rather industrial when you pull up because it's where the semis load up and where they process the milk, but inside the little red barn building is the scoop shop! Five stars for the ice cream! Jilbert's had about 20-25 flavors out, and it's creamy and delicious. Mackinac Island fudge is a classic. Sit outside and enjoy your treat on a picnic table under the enormous (like, a story high) plastic cow! Four stars for the experience. The service was just meh and not super friendly. And I just can't get over the industrial feel - I want to be in a brightly colored, whimsical scoop shop! Imagine if they transformed the inside with cow-printed wallpaper and pops of color...

    A cool Jilbert employee.

The place was comfortable and there were lots of people there-made for a fun atmosphere. What was discouraging was the food. Granted, we got there a little after 8 PM and we knew it closed at 9 PM. We were sure to order quickly and we had the muffaleta quarter, the half pound of shrimp boil (mkt price), hush puppies, a side of beans and rice and two bowls of seafood bisque. We also had lemonade, beer and hurricanes. The drinks were all really good! Unfortunately all the food was sub par. Shrimp Boil: a half pound was about 6-7 shrimp and they were clearly overcooked. Like I'm pretty shocked they sent it out like that. Dry and rubbery and that's one of your Mkt Price items. Side of corn for the shrimp: my daughter found a hair in it that was pretty deeply buried in there. She didn't try it after that. Hush Puppies: dry and while the sauces helped, we shouldn't need to cover something in sauce to make it appetizing. Muffaleta Quarter: it was pretty mushy and didn't have a lot of flavor to it-my subjective opinion. I love muffaletas, so this one hit hard for me. It was almost like there was too much meat and not enough olive tapenade (I think that's what it is?) Seafood bisque: there were no bits of seafood in there. I was really surprised by this. Beans and Rice: it looked like it was sitting out for a long time and was bland and a little crusty. I try hard not to write a negative review without some pretty objective facts, and we let the waitress (who was very apologetic and helpful) know about our concerns. She took the shrimp, beans and rice and the corn off the bill. With regards to the seafood bisque, when I asked if there should be seafood in it, she let me know that they blend up the seafood in the bisque, so there are no chunks of visible seafood. This just made the soup taste like there was nothing in it. I don't think I've ever had a bowl of seafood bisque without visible chunks of seafood in it. I'm really surprised that they would advertise and serve it like this. Maybe it's just me, but I would expect to see and taste seafood in it. I was really hoping for more and I hope this was just a fluke. I was going to stop by there for their brunch over this weekend, but I'm unlikely to give this another chance. I spent $94 plus tip for 3 of us and we didn't take any of it home.

Written on the bottom of your bill. The dishes are scratch made, in house. Nice! The tabouli is too, has some mixed greens in it. There is something sweet in the dressing or the buckwheat, not my thing at all. Rest of the salad is good though. The baba ghanouj on its own is quite garlicky, slight Smokey flavor to it. It doesn't work with the pita crackers. Not loving this at all. The whitish dip is good. My hubby liked the sweet pickled for watermelon rind garnish, I didn't like them much.
