During our road trip home, my husband and I found this gem via Yelp. I'm sure glad we did because it was beautiful! The drive up to the grill was scenic, giving a glimpse of the golf course and the valley around. Once at the top, we were able to take in our surroundings. Walking up, the buildings have rustic charm and are surrounded by beautiful trees and birds chirping happily. It really set the mood and relaxed us. When we arrived, it was around 10:30am on a Sunday. It didn't appear very busy and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the weather. On Sundays, they have a Brunch Buffett. Since we were still on vacation, we decided to live it up. We ate prime rib, eggs benedict, cheese blintzes, and much more. They even had a dessert bar filled with cake pops, slices of pie, and a chocolate fountain. Overall, the food was good but the scenery was better. We had a great time sitting outside, enjoying the weather and the scenery. If we were ever back in the area, we'd definitely stop here again. After 18 holes of golf, my buddy and I came here for Happy Hour on a Friday night. Although the servers were pleasant, the place wasn't exactly hopping or happy for that matter. Inside there was limited bar seating so we ate on the porch outside. Because of the wind, there are plastic wind screens (like heavy shower curtains) to block the wind and the view. Due to the agriculture, there are flies everywhere whether you eat inside or out. For food, we ordered hamburger sliders, fish and chips, shrimp, and beer. The food was ok. I had the fish tacos which are hit and miss from place to place, but these one's were excellent. I would rank them 1 or 2 of my favorite fish tacos from the places ive tried. We decided to stop by for lunch because they are dog friendly. We were promptly seated outside and had a fantastic view of the golf course. We all looked over the menu and I decided on the chicken sandwich with a side salad, BF had the BLT on the homemade bread with sweet potato fries, Dad had the BLT on sourdough with fruit, Mom got the Cobb Salad, & the pooches had a grilled chicken breast. I loved my chicken sandwich and thought it was great. BF liked his BLT but the sweet potato fries were a little limp. Dad didn't like his BLT because of super hard sourdough bread. Mom didn't like her Cobb salad because of the chicken. There wasn't a lot of it and when she could find a piece it was super dry. She even took a piece of the pooch chicken to see if it was dry and it was as well (guess I was the only one with the juicy chicken). If you are ever in the area, this is a nice place to stop by for lunch. Ask the waitress for "outside" seating, and you will be taken towards the outside (which is still roofed and warm), with a great view of the golf course that is located on. Not only is there a great view, but the food was also delicious. I was not disappointed when I ordered my tri-tip sandwich Philly dip style (which includes grilled onions, sauce, etc). Great place and food. We sat on the patio and the view was really nice. I got the eggs Benedict for $16 and my husband got eggs, bacon, and biscuits and gravy for $7. Prices were responsible. We brought our dog and they had no problems with it. The waiter even went out of his way to provide our dog with a bowel of water. The atmosphere is nice. I was dressed very casual and felt a little out of place because people were dressed a little nicer than average. It is at the golf course so a lot of golfers were there. However, anyone is welcomed so you do not need to be a golfer. Overall, I do recommend this place. read more

Stopped by on my way to Paso Robles. Found the place on Yelp and decided to check it out. I had the fish tacos for lunch. The tacos were not bad, but nothing special. Salsa tasted like canned Pace sauce. The black beans were nothing to call home about either and were probably from a can as well. Several things that made me not want to come back included the fact that I asked for a glass of water with lime, and the lime looked like it had seen better days and should not have been served. The cutlery was not washed properly so I had to clean ot myself since it had crusty food still on it. Little details like this combined with mediocre food means I will not be returning. read more

This use to be an amazing restaurant to visit. It has gone down hill so much. The "wait" staff were extremely unpleasant and on the verge of rude. The menu completely changed to much lower grade ingredients that tasted like cheap bar food. The ambiance inside is completely gone! Came here for a quick breakfast before leaving Paso Robles last weekend. My husband and I had the 2 eggs breakfast. Mine was with fruit and his was with bacon. For a breakfast like this you would usually pay about $8-10 a plate, but that was not the case here. The prices here are way more and I think it's, because the restaurant is on a golf resort. Basically our 2 egg breakfast with coffee and juice came to $32, which was not really worth it for me... but some breakfast was better than no breakfast! On the other hand I will say that the our waitress was super friendly and helpful and checked on our table often to make sure everything was going well. The bf and I decided to take a detour down 46E off the 101 to do a little Paso Robles wine tasting. We were able to get to try two wineries before deciding to indulge in a hearty breakfast. Hunter Ranch Grill on the golf course was a convenient, great recommendation nestled among the beautiful landscape of wineries. We got the buffet brunch with bottomless mimosas. They had an omelette station, fresh carved prime rib with some au jus sauce to drizzle over your juicy meat slice. They also had several varieties of carnivorous fare: sausage, chicken fried steak, fried shrimp, baby corn dogs, bacon They also had some sauteed pepper string beans Asian style and even some General Tsao chicken. The mac and cheese seemed to be everyone's favorite. Thankfully, there wasn't much when I arrived. No carb overload for me! There were even little decadent sweet treats for dessert too. Our server was friendly as well as the bussers. She kept the mimosas coming! It was a gluttonous affair we had at Hunter Ranch. We happened to find out about Hunter Ranch Grill while returning home to Santa Maria from up North. We were getting hungry so we looked on Yelp before we got to Paso Robles and found Hunter Ranch had great reviews, so we gave it a try. The food is top notch, gourmet even, and the views are incredible. We got there in time for the early Bird Specials, which were very reasonable. Recommendations: Onion Rings, Sliders, Clam Chowder, White Cheddar & Poblano Chile soup and all of their salads. A friend of mine that lives in the area and golfs here regularly says the Breakfasts are fantastic, also. He says they have a Crab & Shrimp omelette topped with sliced avocado and Hollandaise sauce that's wonderful! They also have some fantastic desserts! read more

Didn't realize it was only a buffet - everything was pretty picked over and "sticky" by the time we grabbed food in the early afternoon. I had the buffet lunch here at the gorgeous golf course location. My family and I were passing by here when we were looking on Yelp for good places to eat. I'm real glad I stopped here. We brought our dogs along too and so we chose seating at an outdoor patio right next to the greens of the golf course. The scenery is just amazing (being a golf course, that's to be expected). It's pretty strange to see a sea of green grass amidst dunes of brown outside of the golf course, but it's a welcome sight nonetheless. The food itself was quite nice. It was honestly a little bit on the salty side, but overall it was very good. Beverage selection was alright; I opted for the bottomless mimosas myself. The dessert selection is definitely where this place shines. Great selection and it's all great tasting. It's a little bit sugary, but that's what desserts are supposed to be anyways. The prices were... very high. This makes sense because you're also taking in the view as well and it's a buffet with steaks available. The utilities here were also very nice (restroom). Customer service was impeccable. Even though it was a buffet, I felt as welcomed as if it were a regular service restaurant. To top it off, I can't say enough good things about the customer service here because I left my walking cane in the restaurant when I was leaving (as I said earlier, I was just passing by so I live FAR away from here). I called the restaurant the next day and they said they'd talk to the manager. I received a priority package mail with my cane in it just a couple days later. This is one of the best customer service moves I've ever seen and I've been to a lot of places. Today, post Covid 19 lockdown, was a huge disappointment. The breakfast menu was very limited. Take out cups, plastic utensils, a basket for my husbands breakfast burrito, etc. etc!
