Hungry Howie's Pizza is the best tasting pizza I've ever had, and there's nothing like it. The service here has always been amazing as well.

If I could give a negative star I would. I called to order and the representative of the store is already frustrated that I am even calling by answering ask what I want. When I ask for deals he sighs super loud and I ask if he is good and he says "well I'm the only person here so what, what do you want" I told him I'm good and hung up. I have never experienced this type of customer service at this location. I actually drive from Buckeye but not anymore . Used to be the go to spot for pizza, but they stopped doing thin crust pizza which was the best with seasoning. Guess it's time to find another place to get pizza, since Hungry Howies seems to hate it's customers.!?! Way to ruin a business. Supposed to do customer service. I ordered 2 pizzas. 1 pizza was the Maui pizza on thin crust add jalapeños. Perfectly made. The second was original crust Italian seasoning on crust and I paid for 3 toppings @ &2.09 so over $6, for cupped pepperoni, black olives, & green peppers. The product placement on pizza was awful! It was thrown on pizza like a pinch of salt. We don't live in Cuba! Have the workers or owner tried other pizza places??? Whats with the rationing of toppings?? The toppings should go edge to edge! Not thrown in middle of pie! There were 2 slices with no veggies and a slice with no pepperoni. It was not busy when I ordered. I paid $6 for lazy lack of product on second pie! Its like tipping fir bad service. I guess unless you order a specialty pizza only order cheese bc you are throwing money out window! This maybe is why business is slow! Product is superior than most fast food pizza places. Who you hire and train is on Management and owners. This is probably the best delivery pizza available to the residents of scw. I'm glad they're here for that reason. But. If any of the local owned non franchise pizza places ever do delivery, hh will be in trouble. That said. The howie maui or a pepperoni and jalapeño are my two go-tos. Both well made. Delivery can take a while but it's worth waiting rather than order to from that place with a gambling problem. Like I said though... it's delivery pizza. read more

Just off of Grand this little pizza shop has packed a punch with it's creative crusts. We have been dropping in for a pizza to go every once in awhile after calling ahead for over 10 years! Service has always been great! We don't go out to eat too often and this isn't my husband's favorite pizza place, but sometimes he just craves something different. Here that would be their flavored crusts! His go to is the cajun. He orders a light Cajun to be specific, and it is done perfect every time. You can even get the crust stuffed with cheese! He is the only one able to eat gluten or we would be coming here more often and experiencing more items on their menu! Besides their build your own pizzas and creative crust flavors, they offer oven baked subs, Howie bread, fresh salads, Howie wings and a giant chocolate chip Howie cookie the size of a pizza. Definately a great spot for a hungry family that offers a variety. I just found out they have a gluten free pizza. Next pizza adventure we will be coming to Hungry Howie's to give it a try! read more

They have DoorDash deliver their pizza, it always arrives late and cold. Also the Howie's tracker doesn't update with the order. And I pay door dash pass for no reason? Given I still have to pay this ridiculous delivery fee and it's delivered by door dash?? read more

Best tasting pizza. I love the flavored crust. However, a medium is like a small and the large is like a medium. Size up if your unsure.

I love, love, love Hungry Howie's pizza! I've been to multiple locations over the years and never had a bad experience. Delivery is always super quick and easy. They even have a tracker so you can watch how long it will take to get to you. The butter cheese crust is amazing. The dough is always perfect and the flavor is never lacking. From step 1 to step 10 Ms. Jo and Mr. Ed took their time going over all the menu items, answered all of my questions, and gave me an impeccable dining experience; the service I received was "Exemplary". Got a Large pepperoni on 9/25/19 - Order # 6 - and it was awesome. This is about the 10th time that I have been here in the past couple months, and these guys are consistently good. I was greeted by the guy in the back when I arrived to pick up and dealt with a girl at the front counter, didn't catch her name, but very helpful. This is the closest Hungry howies in town that the sauce doesn't give me acid reflux but the multiple times I have made an order it has been a huge hassle. This time to be courteous I asked if they did curbside pickup and the lady said no it has to be online. My roommates just got tested positive for COVID so I didn't want to Risk giving it to anyone so I told her the online wasn't working because that was the truth and she gave a huge "ugh" and a sigh over the phone and said well that's too bad. i went to order a pizza to see how they are. I went inside order it and then they told me to wait outside until it was done because of the situation of a virus. Even there is a sign saying to wait. I was told that it would be about 15 minutes for the pizza to be done. I said I be outside waiting and would they tell me. They never came out or wave at me to tell me it was done. After an half an hour i went in to see if it was done. While I was waiting several people went in and they waited for there order. I wonder why I was told to go outside. HH is the kind of place you go to when you're low on cash, it's Monday night & you are willing to drive to pick up your food. They used to offer a medium 1-topping pizza for $5.55 on Monday nights. Last wk when I called to order the special, they said it changed to a large for $5.99. The beauty of this offer is that you don't have to buy 3 pizzas to get that price like the other chains!!!!! With the economy in the toilet, I was astounded that they increased the size thereby improving the value for my hard earned dollars. As for taste & quality--it's pretty good. I like to order the thin crust and usually get sausage or pepperoni anything extra, I add on myself (e.g., red onion, black olives, etc). They don't glop on the sauce or skimp on the cheese & I've never rec'd a burnt/nearly burnt pizza. It's even pretty good reheated. read more

So I moved to Arizona about 8 months ago from California and when I was in high school they used to serve hungry Howies pizza then it switched to California pizza kitchen and I've never had howies since. That was 12 ago. Found out there was one here and just had to have it. It was a throwback for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great flavor and great prices. I really enjoy their garlic herb pizza, it's delicious. I like that the pizza isn't overly greasy. I usually order delivery, and they always give a 60 minute or more time frame, but rarely make it in the designated time frame. They are generally between 10-40 minutes late. read more

While I enjoyed the pizza, I ordered a Meat Lovers with thin crust and added mushrooms and black olives. I got a great tasting pizza heavily laden with the extra vegies I requested, but could not find the meat. I contacted the pizzeria and was told it was an oversight. They refunded my money and offered a redelivery. Kudos for the great customer service. read more

I like Hungry Howie's Pizza since we don't get it often. Today's order was a bit of a disappointment. They need more staff on Sunday! I placed an order about 12:30pm and was told it would take about 20 min. This sounded normal so I took my time to pick up my order. Arrived to the Surprise location to find out that there was 1 person to make pizza and 1 for delivery. Although the 1 staff member was kind he underestimated how backed up in orders he was. What should have only taken 35 or 40 min took over an hour. Please hire more staff for Sunday. read more

Everytime I order from here I am skimped on extra items that I order. At least they did not screw up the salad this time.. No sauce was given with my sub and the extra items on the sub could not be seen or tasted other than the onion The app does not work properly but corporate does not care. Incompetent staff with no regard for people's time. I placed an online order and gave extra time to make sure it would be ready as I was running in on lunch break. I arrived (No customers in the store or waiting outside) so I went in. There were at least 4 staff conversing in the back area. I waited for 10 minutes and still no acknowledgement from staff. Another 5 min pass and I finally spoke up. Finally eye contact from an employee. He walked I the cooler, I waited another 5 min. No apologies for me hearing a very inappropriate conversation, no apologies on the wait-nothing. I moved on. Got the pizza to work and it wasn't even cut. I called and spoke with someone that said they were the manager, she said "oh maybe she got busy and forgot". Still no apology. Food was decent but I won't go back due unless staff are educated more on the customer experience. read more

I had HH for the first time in PhD and OMG was the pizza phenomenal!!! I was thrilled to find out one would deliver to my house. I topped a huge game to my family on why we should order here and not Nick & Ben or Burros. Well jokes on me. Should went with something I knew was good not matter where I went. I order the Philly pizza because last time I had it , it was yummy and had this incredible sauce. I called to say there is no sauce on my pizza and the guy was positive it didn't come with a sauce. When asked what type of sauce is the website is referring to he just kept reading my the toppings. Never again will I order nasty Howie. read more
