Outstanding pizza, both thin crust and deep dish, great sandwiches, and very reasonable prices, especially for their lunch specials. Always clean, this is an order-at-the-counter, grab-your-own fountain drinks (Pepsi products) little restaurant with about a half-dozen tables inside and an attentive staff. They will bring your order to your table, and they serve it with metal utensils--no plastic knives here. My wife and I moved to Surprise two years ago. Little Sicily is the first pizzeria we tried, and it was fantastic. You know how it is when you are new to an area: you keep trying different restaurants. There are many pizza places to choose from, and I think we've tried them all. We keep going back to Little Sicily. Employees was very friendly, told us French Fries were a good item so we added those to our Alfredo Pizza and also ordered a 6 piece chicken wings - medium spice. Love the music, plenty of tables indoor & outside. First of all, French Fries were crispy and fresh. So good. Chicken wings were on a plate of sauce. Hot and tasty. Garlic chicken pizza was hot, delicious, crunchy, chunks of garlic, perfect Then we ordered tiramisu and cannoli to go. The cannoli was amazing. I would not order the Tiramisu again, little flavor. It's been years since we stopped in to Little Sicily. Not because we don't love it or had any bad experience. We just don't frequent the area as much anymore. We decided to stop in for a to go order while family is in town. We opted for a pizza, baked ziti, lasagna and antipasto salad. The meals came with a small salad which we opted out since we had the antipasto but did bring home the breadsticks that also came with the pastas. We came within an hour of closing. Everyone inside was so kind. They were friendly, talkative and even offered to help carry it all to our car. Prices are fair for the portion size. I really loved the lasagna and pizza was as good as I remember. The salad was amazing! My only negative was the breadsticks lacked a bit of flavor and were a tad dry. All in all it was pretty great. I have been here several times for pasta or pizza, but yesterday was my first time to order a sandwich, and it was excellent. I ordered the Philly Sandwich, and it was perfect. The roll was nice and soft and held the sandwich together. There was just the right amount of everything inside. It was not messy to eat, which is a big plus for me. My friends ordered the veal parmigiana sandwich and the eggplant parmigiana sandwich. They enjoyed their meals as well. Sandwich comes with fries or a small salad. The salad was fresh and tasty, and complemented the sandwich nicely. You order at the counter and pay when you order. Holy Cow. This is real Chicago Tavern Style Pizza. This is on par with Vito and Nicks in Chicago and better than the deep dish guys. It's got a hometown feel and is still made by the owner. Although small, the walls are adorned by police patches and sports pendants are hanging from the ceiling. This is the best pizza I've found in the Phoenix area, and although it is a ways away, it is worth the drive. This is a must try. read more

After 12 years of living here we decided to try Little Sicily's. We looked at the menu prior to going. Everything looked and sounded delicious! I went to order and was told kitchen was closed and there wouldn't be anything being cooked or prepared but pizza. ( told someone had quit earlier in the day) Ok we ordered pizza and salad. I was told no salad or breadsticks. The counter girl asked a guy in the back if he could make a small side salad. Again, apology, " I m sorry we can't make salads. The kitchens closed" Ok no big deal. However, when I went back to the table to wait for the food the same gentleman brought an antipasti salad and "baked" breadsticks to the table next to us ???????? They came in after us Imagine the looks on our face when we were told no on everything but pizza! We asked the lady at the table how she got the salad and breadsticks when we were told no. She said "oh we're regular customers He always makes it for me". I think this needed to be consistent with all customers that day. The place is so small it's not like no one wouldn't notice????? Ok a food is amazing! I've been here before and it never disappoints! Tonight I had spaghetti and meatballs and they were the best meatballs that I have ever had! Delicious sauce ! Perfectly cooked! What I was even more BLOWN away by were the young man and young lady working the dining room! What service! I don't know if who ever raised these two young people are on here but well done! The manners on that young man was like watching a scene from the movies in the 50's ! Holding doors, carrying food out to cars, chatting with older guests... my kids are all grown and I haven't seen anyone that polite and someone who loved their little part time job so much! I'm a glutton for a 'Mom and Pop' place and this is soooooooooooooooooo good! Whatever your jam is regarding pizza, you've GOT to try this place. Sauce is homemade, toppings are generous and service is awesome. In addition to the pizza, I got a side of antipasti which was also delish! Listen, this place was packed. When we got there we can see the really catered to the retirement community. They are more of an Italian Chicago place vs Sicilian. Sauce on the pasta I couldn't eat my raviolis. Didn't seem fresh. Probably frozen. Pizza was okay. Sauce better on the pizza than on the pasta. I'm Sicilian, I'm from Brooklyn - I'm very picky in regards to my sauce so you may like it. I couldn't eat a second ravioli. Salad is just romain / I passed on it and gave it to the hubs. Bread sticks - not great You can byob and it was busy so people do like it. It's very crowded table wise. You are on top of one another. The gals that work there were nice. It's a small establishment, so doesn't take much to pack the house. I always order just cheese when trying out a new place, just to check out what the basic flavoring is and I'm a fan. IMO, their 'thin' crust is really the perfect crust. Now, 1/2 of our non-cheese pizza had mushrooms on it, which were not ordered. My husband wasn't as thrilled but I love mushrooms so it worked out to my advantage. We'll def be back to try the Chicago style and ro explore more of the menu. read more

Born and raised in the Chicago area so I'm kind of a pizza snob and Little Sicily hits the mark for their tavern style thin crust. I've been a few times now and I'm always happy with my order, except for once when I tried the deep dish, which I'm still very confused about because I think I wanted the pan pizza? That was my only order I wasn't happy with. The tavern style pizza is excellent and feels very much like a neighborhood Chicago joint. It's better than Rosati's for sure. The crust has the perfect amount of crisp, toppings under the cheese, and sausage that reminds me of my favorite places back home. Plus they cut it into squares. First timers. I wish I could rate the food and atmosphere, but unfortunately we were not served. We went to the counter and asked where to sit. The waitress indicated wherever was fine. She proceeded to clean 3 tables without acknowledging us or giving us a menu. We waited for about 15 min when a party of 4 arrived. They were acknowledged. Not sure if they were regulars, but we left dumbfounded. My wife and I actually debated if our lack of service was race related.
