This was our first time here and the pizza didn't disappoint! We ordered salads and Deno's special pizza and added pepperoni. The pizza was fantastic! My only gripe is the mushrooms were from a can. It is just a personal preference and not a knock on this business. The crust held up nicely to all the tasty toppings. The flavors were amazing and the amount of toppings were very generous. Today I drove 30 minutes to try Deno's. I've read rave reviews about their pizza on FB and had to see what was up. Service 5 stars Ambience 5 stars Value 5 stars Pizza 2.5 Imo the pizza was a disappointment. The crust was spot on, thin and cracker crispy! The bake was perfect! Very disappointing experience. Our pizza order came out with the wrong toppings, even though I clearly stated the order and repeated it back to the staff. They repeatedly insisted that they had heard it correctly and even repeated the order themselves, so there was no confusion on my end. When the pizza came out wrong and I brought it up, instead of simply correcting their mistake, they said they would make a new one but expected us to pay for both pizzas. Charging a customer for a replacement when the error was entirely on the restaurant's side is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but how a business handles them matters. Another great visit at Denos. This time it was for lunch. We ordered just as it opened for a pick up about 20 minutes later which was perfect. They can't get busy so calling in a phone order is always amazing. We had a medium thin crust, sausage pizza. Plenty of cheese and toppings on it. We both commented that the crust seemed a little thicker than normal, still thin and not in a bad way, but we definitely noticed it wasn't as super thin in the past. Really friendly counter worker with short black hair. Plenty of parking out front cool Chicago vibes inside and of course they carry RC Cola. Anytime I'm in town. I always get a pizza. Amazing. Absolutely delicious. We ordered a meat lovers with no ham cooked a little extra done. It was done to order. Real meat toppings, not from can. So great two of us ate a large to our self. sorry the picture shows it half eaten, I didn't realize I didn't take the picture until after we stood at the counter and ate most of it LOL LOL. So many places say they are real Chicago style pizza.... Deno's is because they cut their pizza in squares. New York does triangles.... Just a lite FYI for those who did not know the difference. It's excellent tavern style pizza. We're from the Midwest and it definitely reminds us of the pizza we used to eat in the Milwaukee area. The pizzas are cut into squares not triangles. Nothing to complain about but nothing to make me want to return either. Pizza was ok, toppings were fresh except for canned mushrooms. Everything seemed very bland and under seasoned to me but most of my group seemed to like it. The place is generic mall restaurant with only counter service and very little for ambiance. No music, nothing on the bare tables. They seem to do a bang up business on to go orders which made the place kind of warm inside as people were coming and going. We got two types of pizza. The crust is thin and barely more than a vessel for holding your toppings, outside edges were crispy, inside squishy and cut in squares. The cheese was really yummy, like real mozzarella which I really appreciated. Veggie was full of veggies but there just wasn't any seasoning. They did have parm, seasoning, garlic and salt that you could bring to your table. Overall ok, but nothing to right home about. read more

Wow; very good pizza. Had the meat pizza and a ham/pineapple (for my wife). Ordered via door dash for pickup. Drove about 20 min to and from. Brought home and wow, great great pizza. Cheese, crust, meat all very tasty. Only minor minor complaint is perhaps too much sausage compared to other meats; perhaps a little soggy crust in the middle. Had to wait a few minutes inside - pretty plain inside the place with plain tables and chairs. Noticed a few older folks with coolers - did they bring in their own wine and beer? Perhaps... But very loud. I barely could hear the counter girl. I would not want to eat there but I won't take a start off for that given the great pizza. Will be back for sure! read more

If I could give Deno's 10 stars I would. This was my second time trying it out and the pizza was as good as the first. I moved here from Saint Louis about a year ago and have only found one good pizza since moving here. This changed with Deno's. This is probably the BEST pizza I have ever had. When uber eats dropped it off, I grabbed it and almost dropped it the box was so heavy. What was inside was AMAZING. The toppings were abundant, the cheese was delicious and the crust was great. Usually with a lot of toppings the pizza gets soggy, not at all with Deno's. I wish this was in Buckeye because I would be a regular. The cheese and sausage were no joke-they definitely do not skimp on the toppings. The crust was crispy and delicious. We deliberately went at 3pm on Saturday to avoid the dinner rush and things were starting to pick up when we left. Stumbled across this place and I'm glad I did. Ordered a small pizza and it was great: crust had nice flavor, cheese didn't hav that weird artificial taste more places have these days, and the sausage was a nice flavorful blend. Also this is a weird thing to comment on, but their Dr. Pepper mix is perfect. Everywhere I go it's never adjusted right, but they've got it dialed in. Gonna have to go with Nick N.'s assessment of Deno's. Wow! I was not expecting this much flavor. Up until now, Yo Pauley's in Scottsdale was my favorite pizza joint here. A lot of us who migrated here from NY/NJ like our pizza a certain way. I typically don't get the hype about the Chicago way although I do appreciate the different technique of the deep dish and what I refer to as the "upside down pizza." Not a fan of Lou Malnatti's. Rosati's makes a decent pie. So again, wasn't expecting much. This will definitely be my go to pizza spot. The cheese! Those ridiculously large and delicious chunks of sausage! Oh man. We were regulars of this place coming couple times a week for years... We come in with our granddaughter on a regular basis...we always order two pizzas.. today I said to make sure it was lightly baked because it was for my granddaughter and of course, ours regular I said, make sure they have extra cheese on there the individual at the desk Brandon delivered our pizzas and apparently made them my granddaughter's pizza was lightly baked done how we liked it. Ours did not have extra cheese and was burnt, and there was no cheese to the end of the crust. It was only right in the middle. I said in a nice way could you please remake that he brings it back and says apparently we're not remaking it for you and I looked at him like are you kidding me? We're here all the time we asked for extra cheese not only was there not extra cheese, but it was overcooked as well. We got such an attitude from Brandon. I said get the owner on the phone he knows who we are...we are here all the time we sat there for another 20 minutes and my husband went up to the desk because they didn't communicate what they were gonna do. He said just give us a credit and we're outta here and She said they're already remaking it. Well, it would've been nice if they would've communicated that to us to be perfectly honest we were afraid to eat it. As a general manager in the restaurant business, I've always preached to my staff that the customer is always right whether you believe that or not if the customer is not happy, you do what it takes to make them happy but this brandon sat there and argued with us We know how we like our pizza we drive almost 40 minutes to Dino's, which we won't do anymore there's plenty of pizza Places out here, but being that we're from the Midwest, we like to give Dino's the business, but no more not after the way Brandon treated us Although their pizza is good, the main reason we came was because it's a midwest restaurant and we like giving a business to someone like that versus corporate but no more. Obviously the owner and manager can't be there all the time but at least you need to be aware how your employees are treating their guests when you're not there.
