I have lived right down the street for the past 11 years. Last night was the first time I had their pizza. Maybe there was a reason I hadn't tried it before? Let me explain.......... Went with an order of a Large Supreme, and an XL Cheese Pizza. Total with a small tip came out to $45.00. Not cheap. How was the pizza? Eh....it was ok. The toppings were good, the sauce and cheese were good, but the dough and crust was pretty bad. So bland! Like no flavor of anything...no salt, no yeast, no honey, sourdough, oil etc. Usually the dough/crust has SOME kind of flavor to it. This had nothing. Literally water and flour taste, nothing else. The chew/texture of the dough wasn't the best either. Meh. Will I come back? Doubt it. I can make pizza myself better than this. Maybe Ill come back and try one of their sandwiches or something. I ordered a large thin crust pizza, but what I got was regular crust. When I called, the staff told me that #1Brother's Pizza only offers one type of crust and doesn't actually have thin crust, even though their website clearly lists it as an option. That's very misleading. I was really disappointed because I only eat thin crust, and I wouldn't have ordered from here if I had known. If thin crust isn't available, it shouldn't be advertised on the menu. This experience was frustrating, and unfortunately, I won't be coming back. read more

Ordered 2 large pizzas for carryout. When arrived was told $38. Paid with card and left $5 tip. Was asked do you want a receipt and said no as have done business with them before. They actually charged $88 to my card. Have tried to have it corrected and owner says will take care of it but to date have not. They have regular specials that are great for families and also offer slice only options. My go to is the #1 Meal. A large cheese pizza with an order of wings. An extra topping is somewhere around $3 and definitely worth it. We always add pepperoni to ours! Although a bit on the greasy side the pizza is too notch. A little flop to the slice but still crisp with a good crust! Dab the grease off for a sensitive tummy and you're good to go! The wings are a little different than a traditional wing. Not fried or crispy, super saucy though. I go for the hot and its just an elevated Buffalo in my opinion. Still flavorful though. I'm not a fan and won't be back. We ordered the XL pizza and 25 wing special. The pizza was not hot. Maybe they make them ahead and just warm them when the special is ordered. The wings are small. I thought it was pigeon wings, they are so small. I didn't care for the wing sauce. It was watery. We asked for extra crispy wings, and they weren't crispy. The wings weren't hot either. This is hands down the friendliest pizza place I've ever been to. I went to the location on Happy Valley. Their pizza is good, but I have to say what really won me over is their fried zucchini and mushrooms. Their batter is delicious, and very different from most places. It's more of a beer batter than a crumb-breading, and I really enjoyed it. It has a very Mom-and-Pop vibe, and since I'm new to AZ I really appreciated how warm and welcoming the place was. Every time my husband comes in the owner already knows our usual order and always goes out of his way to make sure it's quick and perfect. I love, love, the anti pasta salad. The wings are awesome and the kids inhale them the second we open the box. The pizza feeds our entire family of 6 and there's never any left overs. My son and I have been picking up New York Style thin crust pizzas at Brothers on Greenway for over 5 years. Some of the best pizza I've eaten with great crust. The pizza is not made with prepackaged manufactured bread disks. It is fresh and doughy. The peperoni is also of very good quality. Older adults run the place and the teen helpers are great also. Stopped in around 7:00pm on a Sunday. Don't bother. House salad was tasteless. Cheese bread was sliced sandwich buns and mozzarella, threw it away. Pizza pepperoni was also pretty bland.
