I went to pick up pizza and wings at Brothers Pizza which is a West Valley institution (IYKYK). Been coming here since middle school and they have never let me down for an amazing sandwich, wings, or slice! We ordered at 10:00am this morning and the folks there were working their butts off and still said hello and were as personal as always! A guy walks in at 3:30 and loses his mind when he was told it would take an hour to order and get his food. Dude, its Super Bowl Sunday at a pizza and wing joint...I wanted to tell this moron to take his tail to McDonalds for being stupid and procrastinating. Since I was in the area, and after my last real good experience here, and the fact, that it's been ages since I've had Chicken Parmesan, I decided to try theirs. While not the worst choice I've ever made, it certainly wasn't a wise choice. Now, the chicken is cooked to juicy perfection. And, the so called garlic bread is an entire loaf of their hoagies, there's not much I can say about this dinner. Also, it was piping hot. Even, after I got it home, it was still steaming. And, the bottom was too hot to hold for more than a few seconds. Yes, it was okay. But, it was quite bland throughout. Even the garlic bread, as they only season the top, and nothing on the inside. In this case, you get what you pay for. Now, there was enough for my lunch tomorrow. But, whether I do that, or not, remains to be seen. Luckily, their sandwiches are really good. The way they make the pizza is the key and using good ingredients in the doe sauce and Wisconsin cheese is and are essential. The service is great!. Plus, they are the closest to come to NYC pizza places. That I've tried at least thirty here. Some just don't follow the recipe of the old greats, because it might cost a little more. Brothers offers up a pretty decent lunch special. Their NY style slices aren't bad. I've had better, and I've had much worse, but their wings really set them apart from others.
