We landed at Taste of Italy in Goodyear, and honestly... solid choice! This is a legit NY-style pizzeria with all the usual suspects. We tried the Meat Lovers pizza, a cheese slice, and a pepperoni calzone -- and every single one landed at about an 8/10. The cheese slice was the first clue that we might be onto something. The crust was crisp and firm but still had that perfect little flop at the tip. True NY style! You could tell the dough was fresh, and the flavor was definitely there. You order at the counter, they bring everything to your table, and the turnaround was quick. Everything came out piping hot, the staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean. It's not a huge space, but it's a comfortable size for a neighborhood pizzeria. Nothing overly fancy.....just good pizza, good food and good service. Definitely a solid spot to keep in mind when we're in the Goodyear area. Taste of Italy gets the thumbs up from us!

Great Wings half the time ! Lousy customer service. I had an issue which you can read about below the manager told me to be careful leaving reviews because they could sue me. I ordered Wings here once and they were awesome, I ordered them again and they were terrible I called in immediately and the person I spoke with told me next time to ask for crispy and to say that I had been promised free Wings next time. I said okay that's it, just let them know and he said yeah we'll take care of you next time. So I called in today to place an order for wings and pizza $24.99 special I mentioned the previous call and asked for a free bonus order of wings on top of the ones I was paying for. The girl I spoke with said they kept a list and she was going to see if my name was on it. Instead hostile guy got on the phone (without me knowing I was being transferred) and asked how he could help me so I briefly explained again and he said that wasn't valid after 30 days. I told him the previous guy just told me to mention his offer the next time I ordered Wings which was now and he said sorry not after several months, do you want to go ahead with the order all in a hostile tone. So ... I told him I was going to go on to Yelp to leave a review and he told me to be careful because that was actionable. Well here I am. Take action :-) in the future maybe just send an extra order of wings. I even told them that I thought I was speaking with the owner on the phone previously and I was speaking to him in Italian. They told me the owner is from Albania which is fine but I bet he speaks Italian and when he gets this maybe he can give me a call. read more

I am usually Palermo's biggest fan , but tonigh I paid $31. For a steak sandwich that was really a fried onion sandwitch, because besides everything was ice cold including the raw wings. Back to steak sandwitch it did not have enough stk on it to make a half a hoagie. And I got the big one . 3 pieces of meat and a whole onion . Horrible I thought well i'll Eat the wings and moz sticks. COLD AND THE WINGS WERE RAW, all the sauce was spilled all over my dinner. The mozzarella sticks were disgusting and cold. The only thing I could eat was the garlic knots. I'd call and complain but they won't even offer to replace it. I have beeen a steady customer for over 10 years. No more, I'm done. I was hoping to for legitimate pizza, sad to say little Caesar's is better and that's saying A LOT. Food was meh, and the sodas were terribly stale. ALSO, primarily the only reason why I downloaded the yelp app was to review such terrible, terrible service from any restaurant I've ever been to. The man in charge, Chris I believe, is a jackhole of a guy. Yelling at a young lady, stating he won't pay her cause she's illegal. First off, why are you knowingly hiring illegals, and then rip them off? Shame on you. I do hope karma gets you like you deserve it. read more
