We came here with the whole family tonight to celebrate my father's birthday. 5 of us total (including my 6 & 4 year old son and daughter). My husband and I had been once before for our anniversary and the food was incredible. Tonight really showed how much heart and love goes into this restaurant when a little boy peaked out from behind the wall & asked if my kids wanted to play with him as we waited to be seated. After making sure it was okay with who I'm assuming is the owner & family of the little boy, my kids went to the table he was at to color and play with him. Everyone was so kind and gracious with my kids, and the little boy Sebastian was the highlight of our night. He was such a sweet kid & the best little host. My kids had a great time with him as we waited for our food. I got the carbonara, my dad got the chicken pesto & my husband got a 3 meat penne. The kids got chicken tender and fries. Each dish was delicious and tasted authentic. The bruschetta dip was amazing. My husband doesn't normally like bruschetta, but how the flavors were balanced had him eating most of it. The bread was perfect, crisp outside with a softer inside. My carbonara was creamy and flavorful. Most carbonara upsets my stomach because of dairy (but I still order it anyway because it's my favorite), but how they made it here left me feeling satisfied without an upset stomach which is a huge win in my book! It warmed my heart to feel like my kids were welcomed in a restaurant with open arms when many restaurants view kids in general as a burden. We will definitely be back! Personally, we've never been to a restaurant that provided this quality of service and hospitality in addition to the best Italian food we've had at a more than reasonable cost! 10/10 recommend this to anyone! read more

We haven't been here in years and decided to give it another shot. We keep seeing it on TikTok and had hoped that it was better than our last visit. We are surprised it was. The only thing that was very disappointing to me were the meatballs and bruschetta,, everything here seems to be made homemade except the meatballs, they seem to be processed. The bruschetta is complementary, but it comes with the bread separate from the tomatoes. You have to scoop them out on to the bread and they don't really give you enough to cover all of the bread you get. The lasagna and the penne Alforno were fantastic. The ambience and decor is very nice. All in all I give it a four star and highly recommend dining at this family owned restaurant. read more

Italian Restaurant located in Downtown Avondale. The restaurant is cute and the decorations are on theme for an Italian restaurant, but are not cheesy. They compliment the culture extremely well, and help set the atmosphere. When we went for lunch on a Sunday, it was pretty empty (only 1 other table). I would recommend not worrying about the low attendance. I think this has to do more with the fact that Downtown Avondale tends to be pretty empty. I think that they would do really well and be a lot busier if they were in a different location. The service was amazing, our server was attentive and gave out really good recommendations. While all the food was delicious...the free bread was my favorite. It was perfectly toasted and seasoned and included a brushetta topping on the side. I could have just ate that and would have been extremely happy. We ordered an appetizer of Calamari, it was a good portion size for the cost. The Calamari was well seasoned and crispy. I ordered the Portobello Mushroom Ravioli. It was flavorful with large pieces of mushroom mixed with the sauce. Even though it was a white cream sauce, the dish was suprisingly light, I would recommend trying it. The other two people I was with both ordered the Frutti de Mare. There was a good mixe and amount of seafood in the dish and the pasta was cooked perfectly. While the marinara sauce was good, I don't think it was something that was out of this world. This place was terrible.. 0/10 I can understand a busy day and all however even after waiting for 30 minutes to sit down then on top of that 56 minutes to receive our food. Once we received our food it was flavorless all around. We got the steak gorgonzola and the trio plate which would include spaghetti, lasagna and chicken. When trying the steak gorgonzola it was extremely flavorless and you'd think for the wait and for all the hype the food would be amazing but it WAS NOT. I kid you not, If you like flavored food i'd stay far away from it. If you like Alfredo pasta just note that this was just a plain sauce with heavy whipping cream. Tucked away in old town Avondale this unassuming spot is a must try. You walk in the front greeted by what appears a small spot. To the left a few booths and to the right the kitchen. The smells of Italian cooking fill the air. Yet you walk through to a big seating area in the back. Nice decore with all tables formally set up and Italian instrumental music in the background. Lina took care of us and still managed even though this place got busy real quick. We had some delicious zucchini appetizer along with the complimentary toasted bread. The penne arriabatta was delicious and my date raved about the creamy Tuscan chicken. I look forward to trying again. If you partake in wine I noticed a big selection. Do NOT sleep on this place! It is our new favorite restaurant! We randomly found it on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I'm super picky about Italian food, and this is now my favorite spot. It's in downtown Avondale in an old vintage building on the corner. Everything is decorated so nicely, and all the tables are set with cloths, cutlery, and a candle. The ambience was very cozy and romantic, perfect for date night. The service was amazing - she is the owners wife and she was fantastic. So friendly and helped us pick out great menu items. She let us know about wine tastings and dinner events happening. I got the mushroom ravioli and my fiancée got the chicken Alfredo - both were so favorable and delish. The mushrooms in my ravioli were cooked perfectly and I could tell they were fresh mushrooms. They handmake all their pastas and sauces and you can totally tell it's authentic and fresh. We each had a glass of Chianti which complemented the meal so well. We were so full but we ordered some limoncello cake to take home - omg it was so good! Light and airy and not too sweet. The prices were reasonable and well worth it. We'll be regulars here for sure! We actually thought this would be a great place to have our engagement party or rehearsal dinner - there's a room in the back that is perfect for bigger groups. read more

It's a nice vibe for a 2-4 person dinner, if you don't care about the space. Our first time here, and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but as they say looks can be deceiving. The interior spoke of old world dining. A quaint and charming decor that told a story of old Italy. The service was quick and friendly. Our waitress was efficient and personable. You could tell she enjoyed her job. We indulged in a house Merlot that had a fantastic flavor. We tried the appetizer sampler platter that was just the right size for the two of us. Our entree's were prepared with great care and tasted of wonderfully fresh ingredients. The portion size was just right for us. We did not partake in any desserts, but the list looked just yummy. You can't go wrong with any of the pasta dishes, but some classic standouts are the chicken Parmesan, and the chicken spaghetti carbonara. A nice local spot with good food. I think the most simple things are often looked over. The Pasta Factory is an Italian restaurant on the Old Town Avondale strip and I am happy to say I'll be going back again. The food was very good. They started us off with a nice bruschetta which was so fresh and delicious. We ordered the trio which had chicken parm, lasagna and spaghetti. The chicken Parmesan was my personal favorite. My wife ordered the chicken carbonara and we wanted it very much. Finished the meal off with a five layer cake that my daughter loved. A little disappointed after reading all the reviews about this place. The food was ok, but small portions. If you're paying over $20 for a meal and you see pictures in the reviews with the meals (chicken Marsala and chicken piccata) having 2 pieces of chicken and you get yours and it's one piece of chicken and a small serving of mashed potatoes in one and a small serving of broccoli in the other it's a little frustrating. The restaurant is unassuming, and seemingly small, and when we arrived neither my husband nor I were particularly hungry. We ordered chicken piccata with a side of broccoli and the chicken vodka, and we were totally blown away!
