Our first time here, and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but as they say looks can be deceiving. The interior spoke of old world dining. A quaint and charming decor that told a story of old Italy. The service was quick and friendly. Our waitress was efficient and personable. You could tell she enjoyed her job. We indulged in a house Merlot that had a fantastic flavor. We tried the appetizer sampler platter that was just the right size for the two of us. Our entree's were prepared with great care and tasted of wonderfully fresh ingredients. The portion size was just right for us. We did not partake in any desserts, but the list looked just yummy. Just a great location in Old Town Avondale. We are looking forward to our return to try something new. read more

We came here with the whole family tonight to celebrate my father's birthday. 5 of us total (including my 6 & 4 year old son and daughter). My husband and I had been once before for our anniversary and the food was incredible. Tonight really showed how much heart and love goes into this restaurant when a little boy peaked out from behind the wall & asked if my kids wanted to play with him as we waited to be seated. After making sure it was okay with who I'm assuming is the owner & family of the little boy, my kids went to the table he was at to color and play with him. Everyone was so kind and gracious with my kids, and the little boy Sebastian was the highlight of our night. He was such a sweet kid & the best little host. My kids had a great time with him as we waited for our food. I got the carbonara, my dad got the chicken pesto & my husband got a 3 meat penne. The kids got chicken tender and fries. Each dish was delicious and tasted authentic. The bruschetta dip was amazing. My husband doesn't normally like bruschetta, but how the flavors were balanced had him eating most of it. The bread was perfect, crisp outside with a softer inside. My carbonara was creamy and flavorful. Most carbonara upsets my stomach because of dairy (but I still order it anyway because it's my favorite), but how they made it here left me feeling satisfied without an upset stomach which is a huge win in my book! It warmed my heart to feel like my kids were welcomed in a restaurant with open arms when many restaurants view kids in general as a burden. We will definitely be back! Personally, we've never been to a restaurant that provided this quality of service and hospitality in addition to the best Italian food we've had at a more than reasonable cost! 10/10 recommend this to anyone! read more

Tucked away in old town Avondale this unassuming spot is a must try. You walk in the front greeted by what appears a small spot. To the left a few booths and to the right the kitchen. The smells of Italian cooking fill the air. Yet you walk through to a big seating area in the back. Nice decore with all tables formally set up and Italian instrumental music in the background. Lina took care of us and still managed even though this place got busy real quick. We had some delicious zucchini appetizer along with the complimentary toasted bread. The penne arriabatta was delicious and my date raved about the creamy Tuscan chicken. I look forward to trying again. If you partake in wine I noticed a big selection. You can't go wrong with any of the pasta dishes, but some classic standouts are the chicken Parmesan, and the chicken spaghetti carbonara. Yes, there are other delicious dishes here but these are particularly and singularly good. Fresh ingredients, a lovely marinara, perfectly-cooked pasta, and wonderful service. What's not to love? PS- bonus points for the complimentary little bruschetta plate that comes with your meal. It's fresh and cool and sharp and a perfect foil to the pasta dishes. The vibe here is also great for a date or romantic evening, or even for a business dinner. Great little place all around. The Pasta Factory is an Italian restaurant on the Old Town Avondale strip and I am happy to say I'll be going back again. The food was very good. They started us off with a nice bruschetta which was so fresh and delicious. We ordered the trio which had chicken parm, lasagna and spaghetti. The chicken Parmesan was my personal favorite. My wife ordered the chicken carbonara and we wanted it very much. Finished the meal off with a five layer cake that my daughter loved. Been wanting to try this place out since a few weeks now and finally made time to visit with my boyfriend and son. Parking in area was pretty limited, it was around 7pm on a Friday. Was greeted upon arrival. Gave off a cute little Italian vibe, like as if I just walked into a cafe in Italy! Food was mediocre. We ordered the trio and steak Alfredo pasta. Delicious food, drinks and romantic ambiance in the back room. Our server was attentive and friendly. For alcohol I had a delicious Red Sangria (variety of apple, orange and blueberries). As an appetizer we got calamari, the fried batter was seasoned with herbs, the calamari was thick and crispy. My dish was spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs melt as you bite them. A little disappointed after reading all the reviews about this place. The food was ok, but small portions. If you're paying over $20 for a meal and you see pictures in the reviews with the meals (chicken Marsala and chicken piccata) having 2 pieces of chicken and you get yours and it's one piece of chicken and a small serving of mashed potatoes in one and a small serving of broccoli in the other it's a little frustrating. Located South of I-10 out West of State Farm stadium but near alot of the baseball fields. Some street parking but no lot for the restaurant. A little on the smaller side but good customer service. The restaurant is unassuming, and seemingly small, and when we arrived neither my husband nor I were particularly hungry. We ordered chicken piccata with a side of broccoli and the chicken vodka, and we were totally blown away! I made a reservation on Tuesday 02/11 via their online reservation tab for Valentine's Day. Request received, email comes in, says "Reservation Pending" - says we will confirm your request shortly. Valentine's Day comes, nothing received - no call, no email, so I call the restaurant and the woman without even asking my name, time, etc...says, if you didn't get a response, your reservation didn't take, I'm sorry. So, I have my wife call, give specifics and the woman says, "I don't even see the reservation come thru" - meanwhile, I have screen prints, emails, saying it went thru. So, no reservation...We were left STUCK on Valentine's Day. Luckily, La Bona Pasta took us same day! In addition, my nephew had a confirmed reservation at Pasta Factory and they called him the "same day" (Valentine's Day) to cancel his reservation for that evening. According to the restaurant, they've been booked since the end of January? OK, well, if that's the case, then why continue to take reservations via your website? Or why not send a denial email if you're already booked. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. No effort to even try to accommodate. TBH, the food isn't even that good and the atmosphere is lacking. They could learn a thing or 2 about customer service and DEFINITELY plenty to be learned when it comes to their reservation process. We've had this restaurant on our places to try for a while but sad to say it didn't live up to the 4.5 stars on google. To start we were given complimentary bruschetta which was nice however the bread needed to be toasted in both sides and when the waitress brought it to us she mispronounced it which is something I will make a deal about it when at an Italian restaurant as you should be the expert working there. We ordered the sampler which was delicious for fried food, but pretty certain it was frozen and not homemade. If homemade, we'll done! My hubby got the chicken pesto which was over cooked and not Al dente, the sauce was lacking seasoning and gave off a nickel aftertaste. I got the 3 three tortellini with the Alfredo. The sauce was a good consistency but lacked seasoning. My pasta was a majority over cooked as well. For dessert we got the limoncello cake which was dry and tasted store bought. Additionally the tap water served was gross and the barefoot moscato is nothing to rave about. Everyone working there was pretty attentive but didn't check in on us per normal timeframe (we were the only people there when given our food). Side note-the repeat of Dominic the Italian Christmas donkey made it entertaining but maybe no skipping cd playing. My family loves pasta. So this was a no brainer for us to try. It is located in downtown Avondale (old town as I like to call it) on a cute street. The ambiance is pretty nice and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food is very good, although I do feel the servings are a little small for the price paid. The pesto ravioli I ordered was delicious and quite unique. They give you a small plate of bruschetta to start (the server even pronounced it right which is big points in my eyes!) and it was so good. The only strange thing worth mentioning is we asked for some Parmesan cheese. A bowl was promptly brought out and we passed it around the table and set it back in the middle. Shortly after, our server came over and asked if we were done with the cheese. We said yes and he picked it up and took it to the table next to us we were all slightly mortified as we had all touched the spoon, it sat at our table and then went directly to the next table. It was a bit uncomfortable to say the least...as we glanced around the dining room and wondered where the cheese had been before it made it to us. Not a very healthy practice so if we return I'm definitely refraining from asking for cheese lol. The restaurant should consider using small bowls of cheese per table.
