    Lemon Garlic Spaghettini -
    Matthew M.

Modern, warm and welcoming ambiance with plenty of seating and a few private areas, it only lacks outdoor dining. The service if friendly a welcoming. The menu has a good selection of appetizers, salads, pizza, sandwiches and pastas. Everything was so good and full of flavor, garlic bread was soft and tasty. The spaghetti and meatballs was so good and had plenty of sauce. The lasagna was amazing and a big enough portion for two meals. The dessert was also tasty. Only down size is it took a while to get the food but that really didn't matter because everything was worth the wait and the wait staff made sure we always had a clean table and full drinks.

We had a great experience overall. Our party of 11 was seated right away around 7:30 on a Friday night, which was a pleasant surprise. The food was very good -- the gnocchi was excellent, and the wedge salad was packed with flavor. Service was solid; our server was especially attentive once the food arrived. The crispy chicken parm sandwich was just okay -- a bit too much bread compared to the chicken, and it could have used more seasoning. It was a tad bit over cooked, but lacking that extra punch of flavor. The interior of the restaurant is nicely done, but it felt like something was missing -- maybe some music or ambient lighting to set the mood. As it stands, it had more of a diner feel than a high-end restaurant atmosphere. Overall it was very good and we would recommend.

Service was excellent! She was awesome and always checked in. The place was clean, huge, and nice. But the food was just meh, Chicken Limone (Roasted Chicken Breast, Artichokes, Capers, Fresh Lemon Butter Sauce, Garlic. Served on Fusilli).

I thought Babbo was great! I had no idea that they were located so close in Goodyear. They are just past the Harkins theater on McDowell all by themselves. It was Valentines Day and we were in the mood for Italian food. Because I didn't reserve in advance, I called to ask about a reservation. I was told that reservations were only taken for large parties. Good for us. They said that there was no wait, so we headed out! The place smelled delicious when we entered and was elegantly decorated. There were about four other couple ahead of us, so we were told that there would be a 40 minute wait. We decided to wait at the bar. The bar was so nice and the bartender all over the service, that we decided to dine there. We were immediately served really good best gooey bread with olive oil and balsamic. I thought that was a really excellent start. Only 10 minutes later the hostess asked if we still wanted our table, but were happy, so stayed put. I was boring, and decided a wanted classic spaghetti and meatballs. My wife had roasted shrimp and vegetables. The spaghetti was some of the best that I've had at at a restaurant and my wife was impressed wither her shrimp as well. We thought the whole experience was great. Great atmosphere, great service & great food! I was thrilled to have a new restaurant in the area look forward to my next visit to Babbo!

We had a great dinner at Babbo's Italian Eatery in Goodyear! We ordered the Valducci, the eggplant parmigiana, and a kids' mini calzone -- everything was delicious. The Valducci was packed with flavor, the eggplant parm was perfectly cooked, and even the kids' calzone was a hit. The food came out surprisingly fast, which was a nice bonus -- especially with a hungry kids. The ambience was really nice -- casual but warm and welcoming. Service was okay -- not bad, just nothing that stood out. Overall, a solid local spot for Italian food. We'll definitely be back to try more off the menu!

My husband and I went to Babbo on my birthday for an early dinner on a Friday around 4:30 pm. We had originally made reservations for 5:30 on open table, but our matinee ended earlier than expected. When we arrived we were seated right away and offered a booth which was nice. The lighting was nice and our waitress was excellent. I ordered one of her recommended dishes and wish I would have tried both of her recommendations. I will next time. We were able to order a bottle of wine and get appetizers from the happy hour menu. We did the seafood artichoke dip, firecracker egg rolls with steak, pesto pasta, and the sunset tortellini which were all delish. The sunset tortellini was the star of the night and was recommended by our waitress. We would visit again. Highly recommended. 5/5

Wow, first time ordering from this place and super disappointed. We order two of the Alfredo and added chicken, $27 for what we received is embarrassing. It didn't have any flavor as well. You're better off going to Oreganos.

I had high hopes for this place but we kept eating at our normal Italian restaurants but for Father's Day we wanted to try something new and that was a big mistake on our end. We both got a pasta and some focaccia bread and both pastas were bland and did not taste at all. The sauce separated completely in mine and that's all that was left. We ended up throwing 66.68$ worth of food away. Not to mention 20$ for the small portion of noodles that didn't taste was not normal. We couldn't even get a refund on the delivery service (not the restaurants fault) but we will never go here again. Extremely expensive for what? Nothing. What did we have for dinner on Father's Day? Nothing. Very disappointed but we will be going back to our usual Italian place.

It was pretty good- not the best, not the worse, food for a casual Italian restaurant. Not super fancy, but not mall cuisine. Happy hour menu has some good specials. The wine selection was alright- basic whites and reds. Full bar. Service was pretty good- the team worked hard and were friendly. They seemed under staffed - everyone was waiting, bussing, and serving, but they kept up with everything. The bread and oil/vinegar was delicious. I had the Brussel Sprouts and Pancetta pasta- pretty good. My friend had the short rib ravioli- I had a bit of order envy- I liked hers more than mine. We have a picky eater and they nailed the penne and butter. The others were basic pasta dishes. It really was good- pretty crowded and lively- but not too loud. Friendly and efficient service. Sorry- forgot to take photos before we started eating!!!! The portion sizes were great!

I got the Paul Ruben now its not the classic Ruben but it has a California twist to it. Overall it had a good taste but it did not wow me. It needed more meat and needed more French dressing as it was way to dry on the very dry bread. To me a Ruben is to be juicy and sloppy. I did go back to counter and got a couple different sause. but what I notice was that all the sauses were all think mayo based and for the most part tasted the same. too think for my liking. For a sandwich and drink your looking at $20. I did find it very rude that I am asked for a tip upon check out. Tip for no service just for them doing there job does not equate tip. Take this off of check out, teach your employees to go beyond their paid job part, that tipping them is for going above & beyond (maybe as time allows have them go to tables that are eating in and ask how the food was or asking if they need a refill) is what you tip for. Now we ate in and they did brink our food to our table and were very freindly and were more than happy to give me additional sauses, and this is what earn them a 30% tip in cash after not before. Sorry but you don't earn a tip just because. I say this because wait staff at sit down restaurant work there asses off bringing drinks & refills, food, dessert and handles the cashing out and never know if they are even going to get a tip for there service. The shop ambiance it self is pretty simple but did find the huge animated pics of Ike a little much to the point of being egotistical. Have pics of your employees who go up and beyond as they are the ones doing all the hard work, as this would impress me way more. If your story is true you need to remember your roots and reward those who work hard for you. I find my self saying would I come back and my answer is probably not. As i believe The bread was my deciding factor it just was way to dry.

There was no salami on my turkey original. Drive through lady told me to park and wait for it to be remade. Fine. Some brain dead employee brings it out to me and it's hard as a rock and burned. I went in the store and told them it was unacceptable; to please use new bread. In that process, the employee began SMOKING in the kitchen when he took the sandwich back!!!!!! There was another male employee in the kitchen as well. Brought me try 2 which was also burned and had no extra mozzarella. Employee who brought the sandwich to my car but didn't take the order told me I 'never said nothin' about extra cheese' and it's not on the ticket'. He was swaying from side to side and kept saying 'ya, I got ya' and did not allow to tell him what was on the sandwich before taking it back to kitchen and arguing with me.I asked several times to speak to the girl who took my order but he told me he was the only one there and 'she must be on a bathroom break'. In the meantime, the girl who took my order returned from her break and brought me again, a barely passable sandwich. Bread was still burned. Apparently, they kept reheating the same sandwich 3 times. I eat here about once a week so I know what the bread is supposed to be like. My sandwich order was the turkey original with nothing else but the meat, adding extra cheese and extra olives. You'd think that would be an easy order. I got 10 bags of the chips because I love them and you can't buy them anywhere but Schlotsky's making my order $36. I told her they were smoking in the kitchen and of course 'she doesn't know what they do'. I am calling the health department immediately. Who the hell is managing there!!
