Lots of pizza around the valley and generally it is all pretty good . I had not tried Barros as there is not one near by and I have never felt like a pizza when I did happen to be near one. Well that changed and I did stop by and grab a Pepperoni to munch on at home . I was pleased. Barros is similar to Parry's in that the crust is good although a bit thick, but I did not get a thin crust, so maybe not fair to judge. Bottom line, I would return to Barros as they have a good product at a very reasonable price and it is probably repeatable at any of their places in the Valley. read more

I have eaten at Barros for a long time even back in the 80s. Found out I had gluten allergy so didn't eat pizza much anymore however occasionally I would visit and they also would have the typical gluten free crust you normally get with most pizza places, but Barros did an ok job with spicing it up . I went back today and holy cow they have a new gluten free crust that is hands down in the top 3 I've had so far around the country. Best I had was in Casper Wyoming and Portland Oregon but Barros has definitely raised the bar with their gluten free crust. Came here around dinner time rush, and it surprisingly wasn't too busy. Everyone was so kind and had good attitudes. Pizza was spot on, no issues. The workers really seemed to enjoy their work which made the experience more enjoyable. The bathrooms are real clean as well. No messes what so ever. Definitely recommend this location if you want a great pizza dinner outside the house for a change. Only downside was that the website said they offered 6-piece wings but they didn't when we arrived. Maybe it was overlooked by me that it's a delivery pr pick-up option only, but still would be awesome if it was an in-store option as well. read more

About 17 years ago I tried Barro's pizza for the first time at the recommendation of my in-laws. This was at the location on 7th street near Thunderbird. I absolutely loved the pizza. The thick crust, the melty cheese, and delicious sauce had me hooked. The service is fast and convenient. I moved to California years ago, and we introduced our kids to Barro's on a trip back home one time and at this point we sometimes just go to Arizona to have a slice. Delivery.. Really good pizza, referred to us by our house rental owner as we are new to Arizona, day 5. We had the 'thin crust', I quote that because it's definitely not thin, Mega Meat; pepperoni, ham, meatball, bacon and sausage. I did the full Pizza, but added onions and jalapeños to half. Forgot to take a picture pre-bite so it looks like Ms Pac-Man. Good flavor all around. Also got the small antipasto salad. Haven't tried it so can only show picture. They're thin crust is like a regular crust so my four star review is because I'm really a "thin" preferred pizza person. The thick looks like someone doubled the dough of a regular crust. I love Barros, but this location was not it for me and my family. Visited this place on7.16.24 around 4:30pm. For starters this new generation needs to learn that customer service isn't asking "what are you up to today" or "how was your weekend" & if that's the route your staff will take it needs to sounds more authentic. I was literally asked these questions right at the point where I was going to pay ( Dutch bros vibes for sure). So during my visit I went to the restroom and I saw a trail of vomit from the entrance, to the toilet and the hand washing station. ( the vomit was essentially dry). I went and let the guy at the front know to which he said "I will let my manager know." FYI after eating chicken wings I wash my hands and went to the restroom and the mess was still there.||"Well-maintained restrooms demonstrate the restaurant's commitment to health standards and customer service." If I could give no stars I would. Monday night my sister and I ordered pizza. We got a spinach and pepperoni pizza, as well as the buffalo chicken pizza. Both of us had a slice of each. All was well... When suddenly I was awaken with horrible stomach cramps and the immediate need to vomit at 3am. I was back and forth to the restroom from then until 8am when I finally decided I needed to call out of work. As a current server combined with my long history in the hospitality industry. I know a lot about food poisoning and food born illness. As a former restaurant manager, I make it a point to keep abreast of what's going on in the food industry. That being said, here's where both of these intercept. CDC has released news of a wide spread salmonella outbreak. Arizona being one of the stars currently being hit with this outbreak. Enter Barro's... I fast daily so I eat maybe one to two meals a day. I had Barro's at my cutoff time being 8pm. Was sick just over 6 hrs after. Classic food poisoning alert! I spent Tuesday from 3am-10pm vomiting stomach bile, ran a fever, and suffered diarrhea. Wednesday I was suffering from terrible stomach cramps and nausea as well still running a fever. My sister thankfully got the less of the brunt as she ate less of the chicken pizza than I did. But was nauseous and had stomach cramps the entirety of Tuesday. When she called to let the staff know, she was told "these things happen" and was offered a free pizza. Because a free trip to the hospital during a pandemic no less, is what one looks for while currently suffering enough as is. I am not one to bitch about things, I hardly ever review unless I feel strongly enough. But having heard from yet another person whose eaten here yesterday and has gotten sick is TOO MUCH! A friend of mine got chicken wings and felt ill for a few hours after eating them. Ring a bell? SALMONELLA POISONING! Not only were they careless in how they responded to this, but they're still clearly not following proper food safety. Nor do they care about how that neglect of safety standards will and IS affecting their customers. While we're currently battling a world wide pandemic with Covid-19 which by the way I've tested negative for...in case there was doubt. We shouldn't have to fear where we're getting our food from as well. Today is Thursday and I'm still suffering from stomach cramps and diarrhea. Which is amazingly frustrating, given I'm finally attempting to eat solid foods again. I'm warning everyone to not trust this establishment as they do not care about your wellbeing. Not only am I suffering from this illness they caused, but I am also loosing money having to be out of work for these 4 days. Thanks a lot Barro's. Way to leave a lasting impression. read more

For being a large company they need to figure out how to get their tech and customer service figured out. Used to order all the time but suddenly their website won't allow an order to be placed for delivery to my house (1 mile away) despite reaching out multiple times trying to get them to look into it the only response I get is "well you can call in your order." So far have had them twice and both times have been great! 1st time had some basics, pepperoni pizza and cheese pizza, both great! Second time we got the veggie pizza and the mega meat. The veggie is super delicious and packed with veggies! I actually also got extra cheese on the veggie and def recommend that. My bf loved the mega meat and will be getting that again! So far we have also tried 4 different flavors of wings. We tried the garlic parmesan, lemon pepper, honey bbq and mango habanero. The garlic parmesan so far is our favorite. It had so much flavor and a great amount of sauce. It's always a bummer when you get a saucy flavor with barely any sauce, that wasn't the case here. The wings weren't small either, great size! Absolutely love the pizza here and the prices are pretty good depending on what you get. My personal favorite is the Kona Pizza! I feel like the flavors compliment each other very well and result in a delicious experience! My only complaint is their wings, they aren't bad by any means but they are definitely not my favorite.
