My bowl and utensils taken home and the containers the beef broth pho came in.
Sheila L.

Tonight I had the BOGO Beef Pho (on the UberEats app) and I picked it up to go. It's a decent size combo beef Pho. It comes with a bowl for the Pho and all the fixin's in it. All you have to do is pour the broth in and put the meat in as it comes in a separate baggie. :) It was ready for pickup before the set time which was nice cause I arrived early. And if you eat in and order from their kiosk you can get some good perks (like free soup w/entree etc) it's a small place but you can dine inside. The people are polite and nice. It's a great place if you want a bargain. I only wish that they would've given me utensils and napkins with some sauces to go hence the rating. Overall it's clean and the atmosphere is decent.

Moo goo gai pan
Tom K.

If it's atmosphere you want, don't come here. It looks like someone set up shop in their basement. This place changed owners awhile back and it's not much better than before. The little ambiance there was left with the ild owners. Even the dine in food is served in takeout containers with plastic cutlery. And there seems to be no ice for drinks. No table service either and while there is a computer-order kiosk, they will still take your order at the counter. The printer wasn't working either, so don't expect a receipt. I had Moo Goo Gai Pan and while it is traditionally a mild dish, this had no flavor at all. There was, however, an ample portion. It was one of many "all day" specials (check my last paragraph) for under $9.00. My wife had Kung Pao Chicken and she thought it was pretty good, but didn't have the heat she was expecting. She had fried rice which looked exactly like the steamed rice but with a little brown sauce to change the color. They served each with a vegetable spring roll that was perfectly done. We asked for water to drink and were served Costco bottled water that was at room temperature. All drinks are bottled or in cans from a cooler which didn't seem to be doing much cooling. The menu said these were "all day specials " but the web site says they are lunch only from 11-2:30. Your guess us as good as mine on which is correct. Everything considered, it is a very average Chinese cafe in a strip mall.

Chicken wings were burnt with no flavor definitely disappointed I only eat one time a day and this was not it

Orange Chicken with fried rice L - Orange Chicken

I ordered the daily special of Orange Chicken. It comes with your choice of white rice or fried rice. Unfortunately the whole order went directly in the trash bin after a fee bites. The chicken was so tough it was inedible and the "fried rice" was just white rice with sauce mixed with it. No carrot, pea, egg or scallion. In addition my drink was forgotten. I did call the restaurant about my drink and was offered a full refund of my order for the inconvenience which I declined. Unless the food improves dramatically I do not recommend this establishment.

Salt & Pepper Shrimp
Meday P.

This was the most repulsive salt and pepper shrimp I've ever eaten! It has little to no flavor because they're using frozen, previously cooked shrimp that were then refried, cooked vegetables, added sauces, and chili pepper on top then stir BUT not mixed together yet then served already! So gross! Shrimps with flour taste uncooked! Please refrain from ordering and squandering your money! They lack culinary skills! The owner was a white man, not an Asian. Oh! also when you try to bite it just like you're chewing a piece or rock. No wonder their business is doing so poorly. They don't know or have any sense how to cook Chinese food! I arrived and told them that I'm picking up my order, but they had no idea which order so I had to tell them that I'm picking up salt & pepper shrimp, so unorganized!! And if you calling them asking about if the order is ready they have no clue and ask you to wait forever then hang up. How can they don't know about the order? This is a small fast food family owned? ***Go to Sky Asian for the best Chinese food in town! It's clean and tasty!

Mushrooms with meal
Rashaka B.

I went by and ordered food for two people. I asked for the mushrooms to be removed as you can see on the ticket sent to the kitchen. I called and spoke to the store. I was told the manager was busy and could not speak. Nothing from the manager. The food is not prepared correctly. While they apologized, we had to end up sharing one plate instead of having our separate meals. What we thought would be a good option turned out to be awful. Waiting for a manager to call back and nothing makes it worse. Having half a lunch was better than nothing. Still unhappy though. The restaurant seemed hell bent on doing nothing.

If Fogonero is a good indicator of the tastes this foreign country offers, then it will be worth the trip just to eat there. Any appetizer that offers Sweet Plantains and cheese has my attention. It was yummy! For the main courses, I went with the Pabellón Criollo which is shredded beef topped with a fried egg and wifey chose the Rustick Chicken. The shredded beef was delicious and the accompanying sides boosted the flavor even more. The Rustick Chicken sat on a layer of mashed potatoes and was a solid choice, too. For my dessert - drink , the mango milkshake was pretty amazing. Lots of different fruit flavors options also to try. The inside is small, clean and although there was a bit of a language barrier when ordering, it added a very authentic feel to the experience. Pro tip: It's not directly on Walton Way; it's on the side of the building. Wilson, one of the owners, kindly guided me to the entrance when my GPS said I had arrived, but I still couldn't see the restaurant. Please note that there is indoor and outdoor dining along with free parking. Fogonero is best known for its empanadas, arepas, and other traditional Venezuelan specialties. While all of those sounded tempting, I was craving one food specifically...plantains. I have a real weakness for sweet fried plantains, and lately they have become my ultimate "go-to" comfort food. Fogonero's plantains hit the spot. They were perfectly sweet, moist, and enjoyable to eat. The restaurant is a whole vibe. As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by a striking mural of the Venezuelan flag painted in vibrant colors across the wall. It's eye-catching, inviting, and instantly sets the tone for the experience. Alfred welcomed me with a warm smile and immediately recognized that I was there to pick up an order. He had everything packed and ready to go, making the process quick and seamless. His friendly, personable demeanor made a great first impression. I'm looking forward to returning and exploring more of the menu once my mouth is back in eating condition.

I did give my Yelp buddy a heads-up that he was driving through traffic to dine at what I'd call a three-star establishment. Well, I warned him... I started with the fried calamari, which was chewy. The sauce that came with it was fine, but nothing memorable. I also ignored my inner voice telling me to stay away from the fried oysters. They were cooked well, but they did not sit well with me. I usually shy away from Gulf of Mexico oysters, though I will occasionally partake when they are fried, BBQ'd, or broiled. Sidebar: Drago's in Metairie, LA still has the best BBQ oysters. I know folks love CR, and it clearly has a loyal following, but I'm tapping out.

We came on a friday night around 6:45 pm and ordered their garlic parmesan fries, a margarita, and 3 lbs of happy style sauce crawfish mild that came with 1 potato and 1 corn. Total came out to be $65 with tip. There were no tables available, as the restaurant is quite small, so we were offered to sit at the bar. -The parmesan garlic fries came with the garlic on the side in a little container containing mostly oil and garlic crunches on the bottom. The flavor was good, but it was too oily. I wish they poured the garlic onto the fries vs having us dip it in the oil. Not sure how much these were, as the price wasn't on the menu I took snapshots of. -The margarita was on the smaller side, but my husband enjoyed it. $8 -3lbs crawfish was ehhh. It was definitely frozen so it was harder to peel and honestly, nothing special, which was disappointing. It was also kinda mushy?? which is definitely a first.. The only thing I liked was the happy style sauce. We ordered mild, but can definitely go hotter since the mild wasn't spicy at all. Portions were kinda small, tbh and so we left unsatisfied. The crawfish came out to be $41 with tax, which was kinda expensive.. esp being frozen. Thoughts: -very tiny restaurant with only 8 tables, including 1 large table for 6-7 people -you can't order 1 or 2 lbs of crawfish, the minimum is 3 lbs which I feel is a bit odd.. -kinda expensive with the 3lbs crawfish esp it being frozen cuz you can get fresh crawfish for less than what they're charging at other places Honestly, pretty disappointed with what we ordered. Guess we'll have to keep looking for other seafood boils. I saw that they had crawfish etouffee, which I am looking forward to trying next time I come. Also, come earlier if you want to get a table. **It's kinda a weird setup. Although there are tables, you actually order first at the front and then you sit. There are no table service just fyi!
