Went to a Friday evening relaxing dinner with my wife. It was REALLY busy as expected, and parking was pretty difficult. However, once we got parked and walked to the front entrance, we were greeted immediately and seated inside. Their menu is pretty broad and has a variety of dishes that can cater to anyone. We ended up ordering the crispy Brussel sprouts with hummus, the fries that came with my mussels cioppino. The Brussels sprouts were probably my favorite as they were crispy with a delicious balance of salty texture, along with the smooth hummus. The mussels were pretty good and plentiful in the dish however there were a lot of broken ones in my dish which meant I had to fish out tiny shells. The soup base was pretty salty but went well if the tortilla crisp they included but wish there was as second piece. Lastly, the fries were cooked well and the chipotle mayo type dip was delicious. Overall, I would recommend this place for the food but be prepared to wait (ordering food and wait times were really high). read more

Several of us had never been to Humble Bistro, and we were looking forward to trying it. 11 of us went for lunch and were told we could not all sit together-- the manager would have to give approval to pull tables together, but, the manager was not there, and not due in until 11:30. I have NEVER been to a restaurant that refused to accommodate a large group! We ended up leaving and going next door, where they greeted us with open arms and happily accommodated our group. I've been here twice now and I really like the food. The restaurant is beautiful and you can tell they spent a lot of money on the atmosphere. Service was very attentive. I loved my dinner there but have a complaint about my lunch experience. The music is way too loud. We asked them to turn it down, but we were told that corporate office controlled the volume. If true, that is a problem. There weren't many tables for lunch and we could barely hear ourselves. Please trust your management to run your establishment. read more

Noticed this place when dining next door and thought we'd give it a try. We shared a pizza and a wedge salad and both were better than we expected! Loved the dough on the pizza! Loved the sweetness in the bacon and the little bit of jalapeño spice in the wedge salad. It's now on our list to try for dinner. Btw, service was awesome too! read more

Came for brunch right at open! Long wait due to a system error which isn't a big deal but we weren't told until a good amount of time had already passed. Overall the food is delicious and the place has a very nice interior. I would usually leave a more positive review but the server/restaurant is unable to split checks per person/couple. They can only split 50/50 etc. Additionally there is no baby changing station in the bathrooms. Loved this place! I am vegan and during this visit (my first) I went with a large group and was fearful of limited food options. To my surprise there were many! I got the 2 appetizer options of the jalapeño hummus and tahini cauliflower- both beyond incredible, the bread that comes with the hummus is to die for, I even got some to go. The service is incredible and ours was super helpful and friendly. Additionally, there were many drink options but I stuck with the house Cabernet Sauvignon which was delicious. From the moment you walk in the door and look around, you realize your in for a special meal. The restaurant is setup with a wine cabinet at the door for you to gaze upon. A carefully decorated restaurant with a bar nook and outdoor patio waiting for its next guest to dine in. We were seated in a booth and were showed our menus. Upon gazing into the menus we knew we were in for a treat. We decided on doing a brunch so we ordered the Humble BK Sandwich , the Belgium Waffles and the Classic. First off was the Orange Juice, just enough sweetness to curve your taste ! Next off the Humble, I really can't say enough about this sandwich, by far the absolute perfect breakfast sandwich!! The jalapeños mixed with the freshly cut tomatoes with fresh cooked bacon served atop the eggs on a lightly toasted muffin. It just melted in your mouth. 5 stars alone ! Moved over to the Belgium waffles with whipped cream and blueberries and strawberries served atop. On the side was a serving of syrup. Not needed !! The waffles were perfectly served with just a tad of sugar crust upon them. Last up was the Classic, scrambled eggs with either bacon or sausage and English Muffin. Great for when everything else looks so good, you'd rather not stray!! The waitress/server was completely on cue with her recommendations and hospitality. Made the breakfast that much more enjoyable. In closing, I don't beleive I could rate this restaurant any higher. It is deserving of a sixth star. Awesome service, awesome food, awesome people... Well done. read more

I was so excited to have my neighborhood friends' lunch club at Humble Bistro this afternoon. I have been there many times with family and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Unfortunately, this was not the case today. I was first disappointed that they do not take reservations and instead, the customer has to call ahead and get on a waiting list. Well, okay - I called several times about my party of seven. The last thing that I wanted was for us to be turned away. Actually, I arrived 15 minutes early just to make sure that a table was available - and it was so kudos for that. I had to leave early so I asked to have my bill early so I could pay for it and be on my way - but no...... because there were more than 6 of us I was told that they would add up all of our bills and average them so each person would pay the same amount. I had never heard of such a thing. So upon my leaving, one of my friends paid my bill and I will reimburse her. I still can't figure that one out. The food was also slow to come out of the kitchen and we had to ask several times for place settings for all of us. So, my experience there today was not excellent and it was disappointing. read more

My husband and I paid a visit to Humble Bistro pretty close to closing time on Friday night. The staff were all so friendly and quick to seat us, which is pretty rare for a Friday! Not to mention our waiter, William, was pleasant, personable, and quick to serve. Our food was made faster than I've ever had serviced-- not to mention it was so delicious and fresh! The brussels, shrimp, and pizza are my top choice! The mood is so classy with Italian / French music in the back. I like that it's loud enough that I don't hear the tables next to me, just my preference. We will be frequenting Humble Bistro from here on out! read more

Haven't stopped thinking about the beef short rib pasta since I had it here. It haunts my dreams it was so good. We got the Cauliflower Tahina as an appetizer which was a unique flavor but one that we all really enjoyed. I was also a big fan of the margarita pizza, and the Winner Chicken Dinner. The pizza had a nice bubbly crust and the sauce was very good without being too lathered on. Love this place. Nice kick and the bread that came w it was amazing! Full of flavor and warm. I personally got the (Not So) Humble Cesar w blackened shrimp. So good! It was topped w crispy brussel sprout leaves which was different but worked really well! Highly recommended. My partner got the Short Rib Grilled Cheese and that looked delightful as well and reported it tasted as good as it looked. We got the fries Humble style and again, exploding w flavor! I really liked that 3 dipping sauces came along w them. Good selection on cocktails and the pricing was fair. Looks like they have happy hour everyday till 5pm! Nice selection on desserts, and I liked that they weren't super big desserts. They are more individualized. I got the Crème Brûlée which was $4 and perfect portion since I devoured my entire salad. I really wanted to love this restaurant. I waited excitedly for it to open. When it did open, I was out of town on an extended work trip. As soon as I got back 3 weeks ago, jet lag and all, I called to order a margarita pizza to go. After ordering, I was placed on hold for a few minutes only to have the person come back on the line and tell me they were to busy to take any to go orders. Disappointed, but okay. Finally got a chance to go in person, meeting a friend there on a Sunday at 11:00 for brunch as they do not take reservations and recommended we come at opening time. We were first in line, with plenty of people in line behind us.The restaurant opened about 5-10 minutes late while we all stood outside in the full sun at 100+ degrees, but again okay. Once open we were promptly seated. My friend ordered a breakfast, asking for the bacon to be well done and I ordered the margarita pizza that I had been craving. We both had sangrias, hers was white and mine red. By the time our food arrived the restaurant was completely full and people were waiting for tables. Unfortunately our food was only so-so. The bacon was pretty limp and when my friend requested it be cooked crisper, the server took it away, but soon returned and stated the chef would not cook it longer as it would burn. My pizza was not very good, mainly thick doughy crust and not much flavor. I love sangria, but noticed that neither of us finished ours as there was just something off tasting about them. There were some great things about Humble Bistro and some not so great things.... HOSTESS - Added my party to the waitlist before arriving. When I got there I let the hostess know and she said OK we have you checked in. I then went to the restroom and to the bar to grab a drink. I was approached by another hostess who told me they gave our table away because they thought I had left. Another member of my party was sitting right in front of the host stand and was with me when we checked in! When I mentioned it to her she said "well we did text you" Would've been nice to know upon arrival that we have to check our phone for a text since getting "checked in" by the hostess doesn't mean squat DRINK/BAR - The bartender was all over the place. Very disorganized and awkward in dealing with him. Almost seemed like he had never done this before. The $16 house margarita was terrible. Tasted like straight lime juice. ATMOSPHERE - I used to come here when it was Harvey's so I already knew the place. The music and atmosphere/ambiance is great. Really feels like a bistro in Paris! SERVICE - Our server seemed a little rushed. She was always very quick to walk away from the table. FOOD - We ordered two pizzas, a salad, Brussel sprouts appetizer and bruschetta. One person loved the pizza, the other hated it and didn't eat any of it (no one even bothered to ask why he hadn't touched it). The salad was amazing. The brussel sprouts were delicious. The bruschetta is not bruschetta. It was more like a flatbread. Smoked salmon (not good), cream cheese (barely any), and some other stuff (Can't remember). Place has potential. Great food!! But they are terribly organized. One day you call and you can order to go. The next you cannot. One day is before 6pm the next they will take orders after. There is no place to order online which is odd. It would be more convenient if they gave a solid cut off and had a way to order online. Did i mention the food is really good. If they changed that odd quirk they would get 5 stars. But what do i know. Had a 3 stars, wife told me to do 2 because she is disappointed with the service. Not so Humble...Friday early evening happy hour. My first time trying Humble Bistro, met up with a couple of friends to celebrate birthdays. We ordered drinks/margherita pizza/Cesar salad, all were delicious. During our meal we had at least 6 different people come to our table immediately taking away used dishes. There were only 3 of us at the table and sharing food so not too many dishes were used. We asked for water which they brought a glass bottle, nice but another person 2 minutes later came by to take it away. Said to leave it as we just got the water. Throughout our time there we felt rushed as different people were constantly coming to our table. Our waitress brings our check we said thank you and continued our conversation. She comes back a few minutes later asking if she can take our check, we didn't have our cards out yet. We had to ask if we are being pushed out and the waitress said they have a waiting list. Seriously!! I don't care that you have a waiting list not our problem. It was a Friday early evening happy hour. Every restaurant has a waiting list!! The waitress walked away then another person came over asking if we'd like to sit at the bar we said no we are fine here. Again, we were a party of 3 not 10 and not taking up a large table. I have eaten here MULTIPLE times and I typically like to switch it up each time I go in. When I tell you each dish I have tried has been delicious, I am not exaggerating. This place has incredible food and wine pairings, along with friendly staff. Open for a few weeks and all facets are working - service, food, atmosphere. Streamlined menu provides for fresh, on point food. Appetizer wings with specialized dipping sauces (I liked the Spicy Korean) were a treat. Our son devoured the burger and fries. I enjoyed a house salad with shrimp (entree size) and my husband loved the short ribs with freshly made pasta. There wasnt a speck of desert left - caramel filled churos with homemade vanilla ice cream. The "refresh" on the interior provides a nice atmosphere to compliment the food. I'm going to have to agree with the other reviews on large parties and a horrible manger on duty. That manger on duty had such unprofessional manners. She acted like the restaurant (or herself ) was too good to talk to us nicely . I called ahead and they said they can't move tables but will seat us close and we need to be on one check. I was okay with that and took the family there. We were seat at 3 different tables for 10 adults and 2 kids. We did try to ask the manager if we could move 1 smaller table for two over so my brother and SIL won't be in the corner themselves but she says no. Which I expect but I still thought wouldn't hurt to ask and I did ask nicely . Anyways, point is it's ok to say no but as a manger her attitude was a yuck! "We aren't that kinda restaurant? "..... and the way she said it was bad. But Hope you all read this and realize she's not helping the business at all. Our large family here today consist of 3 restaurant business owner ourselves. We deal with customers all day long and even if we can't accommodate every guest's request we do not look down on customers and talk to them this way. Also , this is interesting enough to bring up here. Humble Bistro don't accommodate large parties and make you sit separately but they don't allow separate checks. What a contradiction ! I was okay with one check since my husband intended to treat the family but they have the nerve to add 20% gratuity to our bill! I did not argue over that despite the fact I did not agree with their standards and procedures because it's not our servers fault. I do want to point out our server was very kind, happy, friendly, and professional . The manger should learn from their server ! I've been here for lunch and dinner multiple times. Food is good. All the short rib options are great. Love the humble brussels. Most recent visit the Caesar salads were way over dressed. Our server was great, the manager was super rude. This location doesn't take reservations and even calling ahead 45 minutes there was still a wait. I DO NOT recommend this place for groups over four people. There is not good seating for six or more. A couple booths you can squish six adults into. One table for a large group (8) and they will NOT push smaller tables together. The decor is cool, but the lighting is terrible. It's hard to read the menu. One area is so poorly lit that people were using their flashlights on their phones. That same dark hole could be utilized smarter for more seating.
