This place is fantastic! Everything was so flavorful and unique. The ambiance of the restaurant is also very nice, everything down to the bathrooms is decorated beautifully. The service was also great. Our favorites were the humble Brussels and humble fries. We got the Brussels without bacon and it was still delicious! The pasta was also really good and is made fresh. The creminis in it were so flavorful. I do think it would be a bit too rich/decadent if we ordered it by itself, but it was good to eat along with other items we ordered. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch and can't wait to come back. read more

This is my second time here. First time was for brunch so I thought I'd give the dinner menu a try, and boy am I glad that I did! I had the lasagna. It was quite possibly the best lasagna I've had!!! If you're a lasagna fan, you have to try it. I also had the churros. They were served with ice cream and honey. We elected not to pour the honey on top. The churros had a filling inside that was music to my taste buds. I can't wait to go back and have both the lasagna and the churros again. Kudos to the chef!! I love this place. read more

Came across this place a couple of weeks ago and was pumped to try it! I wondered if this has any affiliation with Humble Pie which I also loved and went to all the time when I lived in Scottsdale. I *think* it does! Anyway, service was 10/10. Probably the best we've had in over a year since the great resignation! The hostess, the busser, the food runners, and our server were all so friendly which is also a rarity anymore! Everything we ordered was yummy and fresh. Pasta, burger, seafood, meatballs! They also have fun drinks and a great Happy Hour! Super cute vibe and atmosphere too! Great for a date night but not too fancy you can't bring your kids along! That being said, my only 'complaint' is they don't have a kids menu so $18 chicken with a bunch of fancy sauce she won't like isn't ideal for a 6 year old! Yum. Humble Bistro Gilbert. The Brussels sprout appetizer is to die for, and the cremini sacchetti pasta dish is amazing. Sangrias are wonderful. They are a different twist on regular run-of-the-mill. The ambiance feels slightly upscale. The music was very Michael Buble, Harry Connick, Italian/French bistro and apropos. The only thing I would change is to turn the music down a notch for a more romantic background music rather than as loud as it was. Easier to talk that way. We will go back again! read more

We waited for over an hour, the whole time being told that yes they would have seating for us, only for them to tell us in the end they couldn't seat all of us in my party together. They tried to sit us in a table that was already taken! My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch, today. From Mouth by Southwest, I think this may have been their opening day. Humble Bistro has a very nice wine list, with a mix of domestic and international selections. I had a glass of the Plungerhead Zinfandel from Lodi, CA. It was a very nice, robust zin with deep ruby color. It has decent peppery notes on the tongue, along with dark fruit and chocolate. My wife had the Whole Cluster Pinot noir from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. This was a lighter pinot with light acidity and tastes of ripe red fruit. My wife ate the Cremini Sachetti, purses of pasta filled with roasted mushrooms and cheese in a rich sauce of brown butter, garlic, and truffle. She said it might have been the best pasta dish she had ever eaten. I had the Old School Burger. It was cooked perfectly to my request and comes with candied bacon, pickles, Humble's special sauce, and melted cheddar cheese. It was delicious. The house fries that accompanied the burger are seasoned nicely with something that reminds me of Old Bay seasoning. Very nice! The only issue I had with the fries was that they were somewhat undercooked and could have stood a bit more time in the fryer. My biggest problem (easily fixed) was that the background music was much too much in the foreground. I had to ask our server to speak up, because I couldn't hear her over the music. Similarly, my wife and I had difficulty conversing across the table because of the volume of the music. We are certainly willing to go back and try more menu items. We hope the music is then in the background, where it belongs. read more

On the site of where Waldo's BBQ used to be, Humble Bistro is nothing short of AWESOME! Found this place while searching for "hot and new" restaurants close to home (they have only been opened for about a month as of this review). The menu is mainly a mixture of Italian and Mexican food, pizza place and brunch joint. We went on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm and this place was about 40-50% full (not counting the patio area, which no one was using due to the 110-degree summer heat outside). Service was attentive and the waitresses were knowledgeable and made some good recommendations. I say waitresses as the first waitress we had that took our appetizer/drink order, then abruptly went over to work the bar area and another waitress helped us for the rest of the time we were there. No issues, but got a little confused about who we were placing our order with. As for the ambiance, the décor has an upscale urban chic vibe, complete with a small dining area off to the side. There is also a well-stocked wine room with a good mixture of types and brands. I like the fact there is a decent size wall to separate the bar from the main dining area as it is a bit quieter and has a different vibe. The part I'm looking forward to most is trying one of the two booths that are surrounded on 3 sides, which would be great for a more intimate experience and date night! Note that all the tables in the restaurant move (not bolted) which helps if you need a lil more space. The food is not pricey, but tastes like it is. Everything tasted of high quality and was worth every $. The pizza dough is homemade and baked in-house...I normally only like thin crust, but the traditional pizza dough was lite and airy, and not doughy at all! The meat and cheese board had a great mixture of meats, cheeses, artichokes, baked brussels sprouts, and jalapeno hummus. I really like the fact they allowed us to substitute the mushrooms (I'm allergic) for any of the other items on the charcuterie board. Most restaurants will allow you to remove an item, but not replace it or will charge you extra $, so the meat and cheese board gets a 12 out of 10! The drinks get a 12 out of 10 as well. The Dr. Pepper had a nice and strong syrup flavor. We also ordered a "Hello Peaches" cocktail and while it did not taste like peach anything, it was super good and would def order it again...the Italian prosecco tasted like it was top shelf stuff! :-) Humble Bistro easily made its way into our list of places we will eat at often. read more

Pizza which has sour dough crust was not great. Sourdough is pretty much void of any favor. Should leave sourdough to making bread in my opinion. Will try it again and have pasta next time. My husband and I ate at Humble Bistro a couple times now since they opened and we love it. They provide a mixed menu of fusion dishes that are high quality. Our favorite appetizer so far is the 3-ball - slow braised meatballs in house marinara, topped with whipped imported ricotta, EVOO, chili flakes & sal de mar with forno bread. We also like the crispy brussels & basil, candied bacon over our charred jalapeño cilantro hummus topped with pepitas, pecorino & aged balsamic. The atmosphere is great. After our first dinner sitting at the bar at Humble Bistro, we were hooked. First and foremost, the bar service rocks. You just couldn't ask for a better bar staff - in particular Mark and Carley. After a couple of visit they remembered our names and our drinks. At this point, i think they start mixing Martinis when we reach the parking lot. Had a nice dinner with the husband and we just sat at the bar. We ordered the drinks: Secco Seventy-Five, White Sangria, Aperol Spritz, And the Paloma. Drinks were $8-$10 and made exceptional well, not overly sweet. Happy hour is everyday until 5pm, so we got the Poutine for an appetizer. We liked their take on poutine, the gravy/sauce tasted homemade and they used a shredded cheese instead of cheese curds. The cheese was very melty and had epic cheese pulls. The entrees we had the Short Rib pasta dish and the Fig pizza, not sure of the names. The pasta and beef was delicious, reminded me of a grownup beef stroganoff. My husband liked his pizza and the fig added a nice sweet touch to the pizza. The leftovers tasted good a second time. Will be back to try some of their other dishes. read more

Just went to dinner at the Gilbert location. We started with the 3 Ball (meatballs) and Humble wings. The marinara sauce is so addicting and the wings were double fried so they were extra crispy. Both were excellent! My husband had Caesar Salad with Shrimp. It came with Crispy Brussels sprout leaves on top. He doesn't really like brussel sprouts but did not mind them at all and he really liked the salad. I like to try pizza and lasagna any time they are on the menu - and take home leftovers. The lasagna here may be my new favorite and the margarita pizza was awesome. The crust was perfectly crispy! I highly recommend giving this place a try - we loved their food and we are looking forward to going back read more

I came across this place through yelp and decided to have lunch with my friend. First off the interior is impecable. Chandeliers were classy and added character and the bathroom was spotless. We ordered the Cajun chicken Alfredo and the chicken Cajun club with the garlic fries to share. Almost licked our plates clean. Ended with the tres leches/tiramisu which was a perfect balance of rich and creamy without being overly sweet.
