Sarah the manager is rude. Somehow eventhough we were 20 mins early for our 530 indoor reservation she would not accommodate us because we briefly tried to sit outside but then determined it was too windy. At the time we changed our mind we were still 15 mins ahead of our res time, we had only been brought water andthe large dinning room was EMPTY. I mean literally all tables empty and only half the bar full nobody waiting by the door. She wanted to argue with me that I didn't make an indoor reservation although my open table confirmation clearly says indoor and I knew I selected that. She should not have the job she has. No idea if the food is any good. We went across the street to Sailors Return without a reservation and they sat us right away and had timely and friendly service. read more

I normally don't write reviews because I have kids who work in the restaurant industry, but my husband and I have been here a few times and we've always had a great experience. This time we went to celebrate his birthday, we had a few issues with our apps and drinks taking a bit longer than usual to come out and when it did come out, our appetizers were stone cold! We were patient but were told a manager would be there soon to speak to us. It took her almost 20 minutes to come to our table and talk to us and when she did she was very demeaning and rude to us. We decided to just cancel our entrees and pay for what we got and leave. Not sure if we will be back. We've always had an awesome time here but this time really left us disappointed. We've been there before - excellent service, great view & love the decor. Very pricey place and a remarkable menu. This time we ordered the special halibut topped with/ Maryland crab cake. ( we're from MD) first, they should only state "topped crab cake" - don't claim MD. The crab slab had a black crust ( from over cooking) Unfortunately this beautiful piece of fish was dry & pretty tasteless. So sad, it sat atop risotto which was also sticky & tasteless. The other dish was seafood atop risotto. Again dry - these beautiful pieces of seafood needed a sauce or drawn butter! My husband asked for lemon but that did not help. My husband ordered the French dip. The provolone cheese on it tasted funny. He took two bites and told the waitress that he didn't want it. He didn't want another one without cheese and asked for it to be taken off the bill. The manager who was not pleasant and downright rude said no. My Calamari was over fried and small pieces. Was there about 2 weeks ago, not a good experience. We went with a group of friends from Ft Lauderdale as the view is amazing; plus we dine there often. This time it was a huge disappointment. Drinks were done wrong. Food was rang in by different tickets. Therefore all the food came out at different times. We could not eat together. To top it off my little girl had a grilled cheese which took her directly to the bathroom. In all honesty she didn't make it to the bathroom. Risotto was wet rice. Hudson's is beautifully decorated and service was extremely quick. We had an 11:30am lunch today and we were the only ones in there when we arrived. Laid back atmosphere with gorgeous views of the river. I got the tuna roll and the yuka was crunchy in the roll, which was not what I was expecting in a shushi roll. It was okay, but I wouldn't order it again. I got the double salmon roll last time and that was okay as well...it was fried and I didn't like that the cream cheese was warm. The food was very fresh, but these were my personal preferences. The Caribbean Salad was excellent as well as the tropical roll. read more

Must be understaffed and not able to clean tables as tables available but told we would need to wait 20+ mins. Won't return as attitude was like they don't care we were there. We had an hour post wedding brunch for approximately 80 people here on a Sunday. Although the weather was not cooperative, the inside of the venue was plenty large, to accommodate all our guests with room to spare. Brody, the manager, helped organize an absolutely fantastic Buffet style meal with plenty of food and even let us take home the leftovers. The food was excellent and well liked and rave by our guests. Brody was very helpful and putting the event together. He was also very flexible on helping us decide on the menu. A lovely spot on the St. Lucie River for a relaxing, quality meal. We dined al fresco especially since the music in the dining room a bit loud for conversation. The wait staff all are friendly and attentive. The food was especially good considering restaurants with such a beautiful view often compromise on the food. The menu is interesting and innovative. I consider the food to be well priced. The plating was very eye appealing. I ordered the scallop and shrimp patty which was served with a delicate and nicely seasoned jicama slaw, fresh bread & butter pickles and a side of yucca Frits. The patty was delicious scallop and shrimp firm without noticeable filler. The yucca was tender inside and deliciously crispy on the outside. My friend had a traditional bacon and egg breakfast on brioche toast. I highly recommend Hudson On The River. The sushi seems to be popular with people in the know. read more

We wanted brunch and are so glad we came here for our first visit. Dave had a Sherbosa cocktail to start. It was orange, fuzzy, and delicious. He had the shrimp and grits and I had the Hangover Fried Rice. Both dishes were amazing. The pork was melted into the rice and the two fried eggs on top added a fun texture. Dave's shrimp were perfectly cooked. Often we pick restaurants based on if we want a beautiful view or great food. It was delightful to get both with today's meal. We will be back! read more

Haven't been here since opening, as I've seen it busy and heard mediocre stuff. Swung in and found a beautiful space and ample parking. The Stella was cold and the Mahi sandwich (when I finally was served it) was good. Trouble was, I felt invisible at the bar dining alone. It was a battle ordering a beer, getting the server to take my order, feeling acknowledged, and finally allowing me to get and pay my bill. No thank you. Plenty of other places to spend my money that are pleasant and happy to serve. I'll move on! read more

This is my first visit to Hudsons. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was four star. Service was good, but the waitress complained that she was busy. Prices were a little on the high side. To be honest, though, there is not much else in Stuartof this type of restaurant. I am not sure I would come back or recommend it, but the food was good. read more

Pros: love the decor, view, and had very good service all three times I've been here. And the food flavor / quality is good. Cons: small portions of protein, and it's noisy & freezing inside. Although the food is good, both entrees I tried had such a small portion of protein. If I only ordered sandwiches, I would give the food 5 stars, but the entrees portions are not enough food especially for the price (and I'm not even a big eater). The chicken skewers only have one skewer of chicken with 5 small pieces of chicken...maybe 3 oz of meat. The salmon dinner was also a very small portion of fish. read more

What a wonderful luncheon for 50 ladies today at Hudson's. The manager, Brody, did a great job of accommodating all of us. The food, service and ambience were outstanding. To start off, I will say our waiter was attentive, and the service was impeccable. Because of that, I didn't mind paying the 18% automatic gratuity. I also added extra because of it. The food on the other hand, we started with oysters and the calamari $17. The calamari was OK. Nothing special, it was good enough. The oysters were a whole other thing. I'm not sure what ones we got, but I am not exaggerating when I tell you, the oyster was barely big enough to pick up with a fork. At $24 for six of them, I expected a little more in the half shell. For the entrées, we got 10oz prime rib $43, and a seafood risotto $53. My first reaction to the prime rib was that it was probably cooked and then microwaved. Gray and wet looking. Very unappetizing. It was hard to taste the beef over what tasted as if it was marinated in a soup mix. I could hear the diner next to me talking to their waiter about the prime rib also. I'm usually not want to leave a piece of beef uneaten. We didn't finish it. The seafood risotto, I saw it on the menu and it sounded delicious and at that price I assumed it was going to be a large portion with plenty of seafood. What I got was about the size of a generous side dish at other restaurants. It tasted good but at that price I expected more than three shrimp and three scallops. To drink we had one beer and one cola. The total came out to be just under $190 after the extra gratuity I added on top of the 18%. I'm fine with paying a premium for a premium product and service. I'm not willing to pay extra just because it's trying to seem more than it is. Needless to say I left hungry for more. I'm not sure if we will be back especially at that price point. For that much i expect excellent service, fantastic flavor and a full belly. read more

18% Service Charge on EVERY bill/tab. This is not considered a tip that goes to the server. As it was explained, they (managers? Owners?) decided to add 18% to EVERYONES bill instead of increasing the menu prices. SO, if you want to go have a beer or two on the water... beware as 18% service charge which is split between kitchen staff, servers, bartenders, runners, maybe the hostesses? Be sure to tip on top of that otherwise your bartender/server gets (mostly) stiffed. Besides the Caesar salad, I believe the next least expensive salad was $18. Do what you want. Not sure how this place don't get a higher review considering the options on the treasure coast . First off this place has an amazing atmosphere. The price is a little high , but you get quality. This was our second visit. The first visit I had ordered the Caribbean ribeye and it came out amazing . The next visit was the Kansas City steak with the different sauce and salts . What an amazing idea to add to a menu ! It was like a different flavor in each bite . We had the same server both times and he was the best ! I would give Hudson's a 3.5 if I could. The new restaurant is absolutely stunning however don't sit inside if you want to have a good conversation because it is extremely loud. I would say always sit outside because it is easier to hear and they have a live dj who plays great music! They have a large drink menu but I find the cocktails tend to be on the sweet side so I normally order off menu or wine. They have a great selection of oysters and have a sushi menu. we have been going to this place for happy hour since they started a happy hour and really liked the menu and the wine. We went today Wednesday July 27. They were not busy at the bar at all but treated us like we were invisible. The service was terrible. I commented to the manager as we left. This place is owned by The Boathouse in Stuart. Hudson on the River started great maybe it was too slow of a day so they just ignore the patrons. I thought about mentioning this to the parent company but maybe they will read this. read more

Walking into the place the decor is nice, great location, but inside it was like a high school cafeteria, very loud, noisy, annoying. We ordered drinks and food, the drinks were obvious, I had the grilled mahi served with rice and refried beans?!?. Anyhow the fish was the size of a sandwich portion rice was flavorless and the beans were....beans. The entree was like 36$ and it was not enjoyable. My wife seafood risotto, 1 pc of asparagus, 2 scallops and 4 shrimp for 40$. I really don't mind even a little to pay for food that is worth the price, but I will tell you both of these entrees were not. I am not a fan of this place nor do I recommend it.
