Holy cow. Finally got my hands on the brisket sandwich and it was hands down one of the best things I have eaten in a long time! With a gutsy mid pandemic opening, Huda has delivered a simple yet irresistible menu of must haves. Looking at photos of the sandwiches I was nervous it would be small- but rest assured it is a perfect size. Brisket is tender and flavorful, onions and pickles with that perfect crunch and a Dijonaise that pulls it all together. And the bread? Amazing. Anyone following along Huda's journey knows a lot of love went into perfecting this bread and it shows. Can you guys PLEASE sell this bread???? read more

Stopped in for a late lunch yesterday and could not be happier we did! The milk buns are made in house and are insane. The flavor combos of all our sandwiches hit perfectly. Ben (cashier) gave us great suggestions of what to try and his service was excellent. We will be back! read more

korean chicken sandwich was sooooo good. staff was friendly and vibe was nice as well. only complaint is that the fries were a little salty, but that's a preference thing read more

The spicy chicken sandwich served on a milk bun was messy and delicious. Wish the portion size was a bit larger, but the food was interesting. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Milk buns are difficult to make from what it seems, and this place does it well. read more

Delicious quick bite. Loved the brisket sandwich and also the short rib grilled cheese - interesting and satisfying.

This place is amazing!! The sandwiches are delicious and such unique options on homemade buns! Such a great new lunch spot. 10/10!!! read more

Huda - Swordfish sandwich - Sandwiches Near Me - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Holy sandwich! If you haven't tried Huda yet, what are you waiting for?! The flavor they pack into their sandwiches and sauces was perfection. I had the korean fried chicken sandwich and it was simply put... amazing. The sauce or kimchi had a little kick but a sweetness that completed rounded the flavor profile. Bring a bib and a hair tie bc it gets messy. But it is so worth it! The restaurant is small, 4 two tops, so plan to carry away if no tables are available. Definitely will be back to try they're other amazing sandwiches read more

Bread is incredible here. Got the Korean Fried Chicken and the Smash Burger, both excellent but I think the Korean Fried Chicken was better.

A fantastic experience! The service was exceptional and the food even better. We had the chicken sandwich, swordfish sandwich and smash burger. I have not had better bread in a sandwich. We followed up with the cinnamon roll which had done citrus notes and a perfect blend of seasoning/icing to bread. The chicken sandwich was not very spiced so don't get scared off because it was a highlight! Love this place! read more

If you're looking for some of the best sandwiches in the city look no further. Huda's sandwiches don't disappoint! I particularly love the brisket and smash burger but they're all delicious. It's nice to see an expert culinary and highly improved take on classic favorites! read more

Very high quality sandwiches! I ordered the brisket sandwich. The milk bun was extremely fluffy and probably the ideal form of a burger bun. The brisket was a tad over-salted and I cut the richness with a slice of tomato. Sandwiches are nothing like I've seen in Philly - glad to have this gem around! read more

Very friendly and prompt service! I ordered the maitake mushroom and grilled swordfish milk buns. They were delicious! Highly recommend both of those. I also had a chance to try the cinnamon milk bun. All delicious. Definitely recommend to try this place if you're in the area. They offer delivery as well which I perfect during these Covid times. read more

My family and I tried this place for the first time. Delivery through Grubhub. It was Boxing Day, and we decided to splurge on "fancy" fast food: Swordfish and maitake sandwiches and a smash burger with a side of pickles and two sides of fries. Price: $113 with tip. Yikes. Pretty steep for fast food. The two side orders of fries were missing (likely stolen by the GrubHub driver, since there were a couple stray fries in the bag.) But the sandwiches I got were awful. They were simply fried and grilled bricks of salt. Seriously, the only thing you could taste in the food was salt. I had to drink a lot of water afterwards. My family and I took bites from each other's items and agreed. It was just a bunch of over-salted crud on spongy bread. Such a waste of money. Maybe there was a cook in the kitchen trying to sabotage the dishes, I don't know. But each bite was like taking a sip from a neti pot. It felt like I had ordered in a small bag of the overpriced and poorly-cooked food you get at a price-gouging sports stadiums. Huda should be a vendor at Wells Fargo Center. Yelpers, only order from Huda if you don't value your money or your taste buds. For me, never again. read more

Great in concept. But the smash burgers I've gotten tasted like salt burgers instead. I've never had burgers so salty I couldn't finish until I've ordered from Huda. read more

Went with a group and everyone enjoyed their meals: smash burger, lamb gyro (very tasty, highly recommend) swordfish, and brisket. I ordered the short rib grilled cheese, it was good, but the portion was smaller than expected and I was still kinda hungry after finishing. The portions of the rest of the food were much bigger and the fries were nice and crispy, I enjoyed the dijonaise sauce with it. read more

this was definitely one of my favorite restaurants to visit when I was out in philadelphia. I have never been to the east coast before so I was highly impressed to see how quality the restaurants are in the location out here. The location was decorated beautifully and everything looked really really nice. Coming from the West coast we do not always see restaurants that care so much about the decor and the quality of their food there were a lot of people eating at this location and I can definitely see why. Everything was really good and I would definitely be returning whenever I get another opportunity to visit the lovely East coast. Thank you read more

Did I know Huda was supposed to be good? Yes. Was I ready for a sandwich to be this good? Absolutely not. I don't know how to make a milk bun but however they do it, it's amazing. The vegetarian sandwich was great! Sometimes vegetarians get the short end of the stick here and a chef just throws a mushroom on a bed of lettuce and calls it the veggie option. Not at Huda. The sandwich was moist, delicious, not too heavy, and enough to fulfill all of my sandwich dreams that I didn't even know I had. read more

Absolutely delicious! The burger was perfectly juicy with a fantastic blend of flavors. Will definitely be coming back for more! Friendly stuff. Nice and cozy place. read more

Best lunch ever! I had clients in town and we grabbed the mushroom and burgers and both were amazing! They were so happy to come here again when they're back in town read more

It takes some major chutzpah to open up a restaurant during a pandemic, and boy it did not disappoint. Not only did they open up a restaurant during a pandemic, they put a granite topped sink adjacent to the register for all patrons to wash their hands. Genius thinking on the owners part. Now to the food... After much mental deliberation, I decided to choose the crispy mushroom sandwich on a "milk bun". The bun tasted like toasty, buttery challah reincarnated into bun form. Although, the sandwich is priced at $13, in my opinion, I think it is an absolutely fair price. The tomato and avocado adorned on the sandwich tasted refreshingly fresh. Not to mention, that sandwich is thiccccc. It will leave you tucked. Will definitely be back to try out the other items they have to offer. Bravo! read more

We tried the fried chicken sandwich, fries, and grilled romaine salad it all was delicious! So happy we ate here today! The chicken was cooked perfect one of the best I've had! Can't wait to try the brisket and/or short rib sandwiches soon read more

I saw this on the menu months before and it piqued my interest. I ordered this and fries, total=$25.00. So automatically I notice there wasn't any heat or delicious smell wafting from the area where the food is cooked which struck me as odd. At first I thought maybe this is another "ghost kitchen"? My order is done and the nice lady tells me she threw in a complimentary milkbun which I thought was sweet. Then I try the grilled cheese. The bun is warm, the short rib and cheese are close to warm. The cheese isn't completely melted which isn't good. I think they probably prepare the short rib then add some to the grilled cheese sandwich when it's ordered. I even found a carrot in my sandwich which is how I prepare my short rib IN THE CROCKPOT. The fries were good. Overall, I wouldn't go back. read more

Came here for something quick and the sandwiches did NOT disappoint. Got the spicy chicken sandwich and the Korean chicken sandwich and both were phenomenal. The bun is an amazing buttery, fluffy cloud that holds all of the contents of the sandwich greatly. Absolutely recommend! read more

Yo, if you read my other reviews you know what time it is. This place is fire city. There is nothing you could order here that isn't knockout fantastic. My favorite is the spicy chicken sambo, but brisket is a close second. The hidden gem is the Mitaki mushroom though. I'd never ever order a mushroom sandwich, like never, but chef made me try it and I was shook by it. Seriously it's so interestingly delicious, give it a shot. The grilled salad is bonkers too. Like I said, anything is unreal and you should try it all. read more

The short rib sandwich is one of the best overall sandwiches I have ever had in this city. Perfection!

Restaurant is small but very cold even with jacket. Probably should close the door. Wish they'd serve normal soft drinks, coke over boylan. Was very excited for short rib grilled cheese which was pretty good. Apple butter is definitely a solid add. Wish a little more short rib and less bread. read more

Although I probably wouldn't go back for the burger, I must say the people who work there are SUPER NICE. Back to the burger, this was definitely a case of having certain expectations and being let down. After reading the great reviews, I was expecting a much more flavorful, one-of-a-kind burger that I would want again and again. Not so. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't good. It was an okay burger. It filled my belly. I would go in to say hello to the sweet woman behind the counter but would pass on eating there. read more

Obsessed with the grilled swordfish sandwich! Ordered it 5 times within the last 2 weeks. It's so delish! Tried the smash burger and it was very tasty. The Cinnamon milk bun had the right amount of sweetness. Love this place! read more

First time eating at this establishment today and honestly we had an incredible lunch! You can taste it right off the bat that the food is made fresh and made with love! We ordered grilled swordfish, spicy chicken sandwich, buffalo fries, and pickled green beans. All were excellent! Sauces put on the side as requested!!! Fries were piping hot and seemed made to order! Sandwiches were fresh, flavorful, and were placed on an amazing fresh roll! Try this place out! We can't wait to try it again! read more

I am haunted by my meal here- was in the city on business and happened to see it. Ordered the burger and my colleague ordered the brisket. We were floored at how good it was- we also split the fries and they were perfect. I can't say hoe many times I think about the food there- worth a trip back just to go there again. read more

brisket sandwich is soooo good they use a nice piece of meat and cook it with love, the bun is good and toppings all complement without overpowering. I was super pregnant and they gave me a free cinnamon roll -- really fresh and tasty, fresh strawberries, icing, just sweet enough without being cloying. This is a special spot. read more

In Philly, Huda has the best brisket sandwich, the best spicy chicken sandwich, and the best BLT. The burgers and fries are top tier as well. The dessert milk buns also sometimes appear in my dreams. read more

Great Korean chicken sandwich. Chicken as moist and the batter crunchy. The sauce was delicious and the bun was pillowy soft and complimented everything between. The fries were also great. read more

Just tried this new spot today and I wish I had done sooner! So Good! My husband and I tried a bunch of items and it was hard to pick a favorite. The brisket sandwich was really good. The brisket was tender and juicy and was a lot of meat on the sandwich. The pickles were crispy and tangy without being too overpowering. There's also some kind of garlic sauce on the sandwich, which was so so good. (My mouth is watering writing this review!) The next item was the spicy chicken sandwich. It definitely was spicy but packs a flavor punch. The chicken was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. A southwest sauce pulled it all together and there were some peppers in the sandwich too. If you're not big on spice, you may want to request the peppers on the side. Overall, the sandwich had a little kick after each bite and kept me coming back for more. It's also a little messy with the sauce dripping when you take a bite, but so worth it! I was eyeing up their fancy pb&j, but was a little skeptical of the sourdough. Boy was I wrong! It was delish! The sourdough had crispy/chewy edges and the inside was airy and fluffy. The nut butter and jelly were high end and the crisp, thinly sliced apples was the perfect balanced bite. The place was also clean and organized and the people working there were super nice. Center city is lucky to have this new spot. I'll definitely be back! read more
