Good, unexpected Nola chain near the airport in Fresno. Fiancee's Bayou Bloody Mary was strong and fancifully decorated. I liked my fried green tomatoes, which show up very seldom on menus outside the south. We went for late breakfast. As soon as we got there they sat us down. We know the manager of this restaurant and she always chose to be our waiter for the day. She is always so nice and always gives us the real treatment. We order the drinks which were coffee, strawberry lemonade, and soda. Right after we got the drinks we were ready to order. My husband ordered the all meat skillet with the french toast. My daughter got the classic burger and I got the make your own omelette. We also got the nardo grass beignets. She brought us that first as an appetizer. They are very delicious. I always had to get them. The dough itself very fluffy and it has good flavor. They come with strawberries preserves, peaches and blueberries. Very delicious. Soon after we got our food. All was on point. The French toast needed a little something they didn't taste that great. But the meat skillet was very good. According to my husband. It was very satisfying. My daughter just love their burgers. They are just perfect for her taste. I loved my omelette too because I added the veggies that I like. Which was mushroom, onion and bell peppers. No cheese. I love it. This is a place yo comeback over and over again. Food is always great here. I always get the riverboat for my dad with chili on the side. It varies what I get but this time I got the crab cake Benedict with fruit. You have to come early, or else there'll be a wait, since this one is a popular location. Service is always a hit or miss. Sometimes you have to flag someone down for refills/service/boxes, but other times they are on top of it. Pretty decent sized inside with a ton of tables and booths available. read more

I did not know Huckleberry's use process eggs if you selected scrambled eggs. I was disappointed to find out after receiving my food. I asked the waitress who just looks so tired and she did not know what they add in their eggs; she said it must be butter. Real scrambled eggs have whites but what I got was off yellow and starchy eggs. Another thing was, substituting the pancakes for waffles and only receiving half the waffle. It was ridiculous, I have never heard/seen this before. Disappointed in the service and food; she was not patient for a group of 6 adults, 1 kid and 2 young toddlers. She kept rushing to walk away, & forgot what we ordered. It was a Sunday but at least show some hospitality, it was not busy, we called ahead to let them know of our party, at least have someone who can handle the party. read more

On two occasions in the last year, I have ordered takeout at this Clovis Huckleberry's location. On both occasions, one of the dishes ordered was to include gravy. Gravy is a very specific ingredient for dishes at Huckleberry's. On each occasion, the gravy was not included. When you leave Huckleberry, they staple the bag. What is the point of stapling the bag if the order is not complete? Is not a good idea to staple a bag that does not allow the customer to confirm that the order is accurate. read more

My husband and I stopped by on our way to Yosemite to grab lunch and were pleasantly surprised with our experience. If I could give this spot 6 stars, I would. From the quality of food to the quality of service, it was all top notch. We first walked in and were told they were cleaning up a table for us. We were brought to our seats very quickly and met with our server, Leta. Leta was very attentive and made sure we had everything needed at all times. She checked in on us a few times to make sure we were happy but wasn't too overbearing. We ordered the Mississippi and Tom's breakfast scramble, which were both hearty, flavorful, and delicious. They were super filling, and even though it was a bit pricey, the portions were huge. I also got a blueberry muffin on the side that is one of the best I've ever tasted. I think it was a pound cake muffin based on flavor and consistency. We both had leftovers for another breakfast to take home. Adding to the leftovers, Leta was very kind and asked if we wanted to take our drinks to go as well and topped us off, which was super kind. On top of that, I think it may have been the manager that walked around and checked on a few tables, including ours, to see how our experience was. I was blown away with how attentive, courteous, and giving Huckleberry's was! We were given some coupons for our next visit, but that wouldn't be the only reason we'd want to come back. Enjoyed a meal here with four of us in the group on a Sunday afternoon. For an appetizer, beingnets were a hit at our table...and with kids, & not knowing if they'd love all the sauces, the restaurant was kind enough to put them in separate containers. They were beautiful, flavorful, and perfect texture with powdered sugar sprinkled too! I ordered a basic eggs, potatoes, and toast meal. I opted for adding in the bell peppers and onions to the potatoes...totally worth it! Family was all pleased with their food too. The booth we got was very comfortable, and by a window. It's good to know, they have booths that seat 4, and some booths that seat 6, which are frankly super roomy and great for a family! Decor is simple and cute throughout the restaurant- Bayou, Gators, Wooden Signs...great feel all around. Though it was in the last hour the restaurant was open for the day, we were still seated and enjoyed a great meal- but it could definitely have earned that final star if 1) we did not have to flag down & ask additional servers for drinks and refills, 2), ask for someone to replace the empty paper towel dispenser at our table, and 3) there was a clearing out of our finished dishes/cups/silverware at least once during the meal. All that being said though, the actual meal was fantastic, everything we ordered was correct, and everything did eventually get delivered, replaced, and we were very content with our meal. So, in a nutshell, as soon as we did get someone's attention, all needs were promptly addressed. Anticipating and being aware of customer needs though- totally is what lends itself to that fifth star. Looking forward to coming back again, and perhaps we'll try a different time of day. read more

My husband and I have visited another Huckleberry location before and had a good experience, so we decided to try this one since it's closer to our house. When we arrived, I noticed one staff member putting away menus at the front. Nearby, another staff member was eating, and two others were sitting in the same area putting utensils into bags. A fourth staff member walked right past us toward the back. No one acknowledged us at all. I even wondered if we were supposed to seat ourselves, but still, no one paid attention to us. I started thinking we should just leave. While we were waiting, another family entered the restaurant, so a line began to form. Someone who was there to pick up an order moved to the front, and a young woman came out asking if he was there for pickup--still without acknowledging us. After she helped the person picking up the order, she finally asked how many people were in our party and seated us. She didn't ask if we preferred a booth or a table and led us straight to a table. I asked if we could have a booth, but she told us we'd have to wait 10 minutes. Frustrated, my husband said the table was fine. The food itself was fine, and the same woman who hadn't acknowledged us earlier turned out to be our waitress. Once we were seated, she was nice and friendly. However, I won't be returning until the staff is retrained to acknowledge customers when they arrive. It made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable being there. read more

Ordered the CFS and eggs through door dash. CFS and the gravy yum Over medium eggs were over easy Hash browns good Sour dough toast fail; bread was tiny pieces and wasn't even fully buttered. They threw on a little butter in the center and that was it. I had to rebutter it at home. Side of bacon fail. Charging $8+ for a side of bacon is one thing. Bacon slices were so small and so thin I could see through them. This isnt a Denny's after all. Your food cost more, your quality of food should match what you're charging. After ordering about $80 worth of food, my friend and I had leftovers that we put in a to-go box that was provided to us by our server. Instead of waiting for our server to come back to our table to grab my card and bill, we opted to pay at the front register. The girl at the front register seemed nice enough. I handed her the tray with my card and bill, ready to pay. Instead of ringing me up she told me to "hold on for a second" because she needed to "check something". I assumed she needed to check something with the register but she began stretching and straining to look at the table my friend and I were previously sitting at. Another worker standing next to her who I assumed was the host or manager asked her what was wrong and she gestured for him to hold on as she went to the table and made sure all of the utensils were still there! I guess because we're black and had a to-go box she suspected us of trying to steal old, reused forks and spoons. After verifying I wasn't trying to smuggle out any silverware or unauthorized packets of jams or jellies, she rung me up. Girl if its that serious you could've asked me to open my to-go box! First time ever at a Huckleberry's. Went on a Friday morning with my parents with a 10 min wait. This location is quit busy because it's right next to Costco. Looking at the menu, this really wouldn't be my first choice for breakfast. I prefer mom and pop breakfast spots over franchise. The menu choices seem pretty average but I do like that they have fried green tomatoes on some plates. I got a hot Carmel macchiato that was not very impressive. It didn't taste sweet at all and halfway through the cup, I found out why. All the sugar syrup was sitting at the bottom of the cup. It was not stirred/mixed at all. Not worth $5. They should really only charge half the price. It's not made by a Starbucks barista. My main course was The California with hashbrowns which was eggs Benedict over fried green tomatoes. The meal was okay. It was not hot and barely warm. My dish was also the last one to be served so I was quite shocked it wasn't hot. But it didn't warrant a complaint to the cooks. Definitely would have enjoyed it more if it was hotter. Not sure if I would come back to this franchise. It just didn't capture my interest. read more

Would not recommend. Only saw our server the one time they took our order. They had a young man bring us our food and they forgot our toast, we asked him for it and he said he'd grab it. We never saw him again. Never got any refills in the tiny water cups they provide and when I had let them know they forgot some of our food, they just said "okay". I'm not one to complain because I've worked the food industry myself, but even when it's busy, to not provide decent service is disappointing. Then I enjoy that with either the peach or swamp tea and it just comes out so good. The service is decent they are usually busy so it's expected to wait a little to get seated. While I didn't get to visit the Huckleberry's restaurant in person, I did get to taste a lot of what they had to offer all in one place! My grand niece had a birthday party held at M & M Indoor Playground. I couldn't believe the huge spread and variety of foods laid out on the buffet tables! It was like being at a mini breakfast buffet! There were all kinds of pastries, beignets, breakfast burritos, scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, pancakes, chicken strips, homestyle potatoes, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, an assortment of juices and other beverages. Condiments were available on the table so everyone could design their dish the way they like it! Today I had to make sure I bought my cat Milo his food, he was running on empty and he uses a special brand that the vet sells. So while I waited for Armstrong Pet hospital to open I decided to treat myself to breakfast, I've been to the older location not this one, it was nice and quiet, they tend to get busier after 9am that's what the owner said, service was great and the food super flavorful, next time i would order toast to balance out my meal, the biscuits and gravy was a bit much lol. Huckleberry's is a good resturant to visit in Clovis. I personally loved the Teas and so did my entire family. Ordered Chicken Strips for the Toddler. Toms Scramble with Hashbrowns and the Smokey Bacon Club. Food was tasty, service was good and I would go back to try something new. read more
