Not enough front desk help to get clients in and out in a timely manner. Needs to do a better job communicating with clients pricing, reservations, and recharging for jewelry installation that was done in house is crazy to me. Okay this place is everything I hoped for. They are clean, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. The most beautiful part is that they are not pushy to buy something. If you don't want a piercing and the pierced doesn't feel it will look good he/she will actually try and talk you out of it for your own benefit. But, they walk you through it and make sure their work reflects them as a piercer. I absolutely loved this. I would have gotten every single piercing here if I lived in AZ my whole life. HORRIBLE PLACE! Please go to RAD A TAT TATTOO instead. Staff is extremely rude. I get there at 4:28 (two min before my appointment) and the door is locked. I walk around and call to see if they are Open and no answer on the phone, I walk back and finally someone answers the door and they tell me I'm too late. I called the next day in regards to getting my five dollar "covid fee" back since I was never able to get my piercing, and they tell me I cannot get it back. Please do not go here. Also, they charge an insane amount of money for one piercing ($80) I went to rad a tat (amazing customer service) and the same piercing cost $25 there and it looked amazing. This shop is ran by ignorance, be prepared to wait 2 hours to be seen. It doesn't matter if you're there to get pierced or just to buy an o-ring, the wait is real. The wait is mainly caused by the male staff who must chat it up with every female who enters their facility. In addition to poor wait times and creepy vibes the pricing is a joke. This shop survives off the impulse of college student spending. Here's some advise do some research and find a real shop with better price marks, Tempe and Mesa have loads to choose from. This shop tends to price the jewelry as if it was an ancient relic which was recovered from king tuts tomb. Yet its the same bunk jewelry sold at any other piercing shop and online store. Do some research and keep moving, this is not the piercing shop you are looking for. They removed my last review, I guess they will have to remove another. read more

This shop has been my go to for the last 10+ years and every time I come it exceeds expectations. From cleanliness, amazing customer service, and having top quality jewelry. Tonight I came in to be taken care of by Jojo and Aubrilynn. My experience was nothing short of spectacular. They were professional, patient, thorough, and helped me pick out some cute high nostril jewelry. This place is only after money. I got a faux snug piercing on Mother's Day and have had several issues now including paying $90 a piece for each earring because it is "rose gold". Hah, only the top is rose gold and the post is surgical steel. I warned the piercer that I can swell a lot during the healing process and requested he put in as a long post as he could. I requested this because I have one experience (which was enough) where the post sinks into my skin due to swelling. He disregarded what I said and know about my body and put in a standard length post. Guess what, sank into my ear. I called and explained my situation, was told I would not be charged. In fact the exact words were, "we won't charge, we will take care of you". Cue me arriving at HTC, fresh off a 12 hour shift & being told I would have to not only pay for a new post but that I have not been taking care of it properly. I have 23 piercings, pretty sure I know how to care for them. I am also a medical professional so again, I know how to care of piercings. I asked them to just take it out then and was told that would be a charge!!! NEVER AGAIN WILL I STRAY FROM MY USUAL PIERCER. This whole experience was awful. read more

If you are looking to get a piercing, and want a clean place with great staff, pop on in here and get it done! They were really busy the weekend we went in due to a sale that they were having, but the staff maintained everything flawlessly and kept the line orderly and moving. We got there early and waited outside in the third spot in the line. Once they opened up the shop and got the line inside, we were in and out withing 25 minutes. I got to the front counter, filled out my paperwork, handed over my ID and was whisked back by Jacob. He went through every detail of how the piercing would go and what to expect. The spots were lined up and marked, and I was given a chance to check it out before everything was finalized. Once everything was done, I was given a chance to take a look and Jacob then carefully cleaned me up and bandaged it all up. After care instructions were carefully given and paperwork was also handed over to re-state everything in case you forget any details later. During check out we were asked how everything went and despite all the chaos from the line and the sale - we felt like we were given individualized attention and that our needs were cared for, which is all you could ask! Today, I needed to get some jewelry swapped out. I was shocked when the piercer said aloud, "this hole is so big, the taper just falls right through." How rude! You can't go around saying things like that lol. In all seriousness, I've been coming here for years and refuse to go anywhere else. Every individual I've come across has been wonderful, a joy to work with and they all have a great sense of humor (hence above comment). Very professional and clean. Marilyn and Andy are super cool and even if you have a dumb question, they don't look at you with that duh look on their face. I have been here so many untold times but every time I go, I feel like I'm at home because everyone is so laid back but not lazy and stupid laid back. My partner had misjudged his piercing placement and when we went back we were prepared and knew that we were going to pay for another piercing (duh, they ask you if it looks good) but Andy ended up not charging us. You definitely don't want to go cheap with your body, so leave those other discount, 2 for 1 body piercing places and go to HTC to get it done right. read more

The guys that pierced me was so professional he really busted up all my bad advice from other piercing places finically after 2 times as they say 3rd times a Cham I hope because a few days later " now" my ears have healed and feel better than they did in years of past. It has been six months and my second lobe piercings still aren't healed. I have been in four times since for them to be checked because they weren't healing. I was told not to use saline to clean them and repeatedly told them at the checks that I was only using water and was told to keep that up. I now have keloids and a different shop was shocked I was told not to use saline (understandably). I paid to replace bars twice and have paid at least $400 at this point for earrings that are not healed. read more

I've gone to this piercing shop since I was 18 and I'll never go anywhere else. All of my piercings heal well, despite being prone to keloids and rejection when I've gone to other places. Super high quality and professional, and the piercers keep you at ease. Also, the people at the front desk that help you check in always have good piercing recommendations, I normally go with the plain stainless steel option, but today I went and she picked out a super boujee piece for me, that I wouldn't have normally caught with my own eye. I love HTC! I had to go in to them because my belly piercing fell out and I was worried I'd have to repierce it. The girls working the front are sweet and knowledgable. Jacob was my piercer and he was absolutely fantastic; he was kind and kept me talking so I wouldn't be focused on the pain (I also got my tragus pierced). This is a clean and efficient place to pierce. I have had three piercings done at two different HTC locations (Tempe and Phoenix). It's a five star experience in terms of atmosphere and client service, however I have to leave a 4 star review because I really believe they're overpriced compared to similar stores. They have a decent jewelry selection and they'll also special order if you want. Let me start off by saying I've been a very loyal customer to HTC for over 2 years - that being said, I've had multiple piercings done here, had jewelry switched out, and recommended multiple close friends to try HTC. As promised by HTC, when you get pierced there, they will switch out jewelry or shorten posts on jewelry/piercings you've had done there for free (assuming you pay for any new jewelry). Got my nose pierced here, when I went back after recommended heal time to get post shortened, it was free. Got my conch pierced here as well, when I went back, free to switch to a shorter post. But today, I called ahead of time, drove 40 min from East Mesa, walk in to let them know I need posts shortened on my tragus and let them know I also want to get my naval pierced. The girl at the front desk was extremely rude and said it would be $40 to switch out the posts..... are you kidding me? I explained I've been here before and had it done for free before, I've been a loyal customer for years, this is how It's always been for me, etc... She didn't care, just said "Well this is the way it's been since I started working here". I walked out and won't be returning or recommending anyone here in the future. You just lost a very loyal customer. If your policies change, hire someone nice enough to explain it instead of someone who doesn't know what they're doing. read more

I have been going to HTC for my piercings for the past 7 years and they are always great. I see a lot of reviews complaining about the long wait time and/or their pricing. They are busy and can be pricey because everything they do is quality. Every piercer is knowledgeable and their jewelry is high quality. I have had the same CZ stud in my forward helix for 7 years and it looks the same as the day it was put in - yes it wasn't cheap but it's been in for 7 years with no signs of needing to be replaced. I got two more lobe piercings and my mid helix done earlier this week and I greatly appreciated how safe they are being with Covid. I was the only person in the shop, I was required to wear a mask, and only the girl at the front desk and the piercer were working - both were wearing masks too. You book your appointment online and they keep the door locked until your appointment and lock it behind you so no one can walk in. They are also sanitizing between appointments and confirm with you that you have no Covid symptoms and that you also have not been around someone with Covid. You also agree to a temperature check at the discretion of your piercer when booking your appointment online. I have mistakenly forgotten my piercers name but she was excellent and I hope to work with her again for more. She was kind and sweet and genuinely interested in how my piercings have healed in the past, did I have trouble with any, etc. Go to HTC if you are looking for quality work, great jewelry, and a kind staff.
