As much as I hate giving negative reviews, I love the jewelry here and everything but the biggest downfall is they don't wanna help you with any type of outside piercings. I've been wanting to be a custom here for the longest and I just cannot do it.. I have bought bar after bar and still no one can help me simply put some jewelry in a piercing that has already been healed and like I said, I wanna be a long time customer but the no desire to get help here from anyone , I have spent well over $100 on basic bars and none of them fit my tongue, and I get zero help with it. They simply hold a bar up to my tongue to try and match the size knowing an say " it should fit" knowing it's not going to fit. I have a bunch of bars for no reason at this point. Absolutely unacceptable pricing and communication. I went in for a helix and second lobes on both sides. When I originally called to ask how much the total would be, they said that with the most expensive jewelry it would be $150. I was appalled and called again to ask how much the piercings themselves would be; they said $50. Okay, not too bad. I completed the service (piercer--didn't catch her name--was very nice) and was satisfied with the end result. I'll give them that, I suppose. I went to pay and it ended up being over $188 with the cheapest jewelry they had. I had an awesome experience with them three years ago when I had my navel pierced. That total was only $50, including the jewelry. I don't know if COVID-19 has caused the dramatic increase in pricing or if it's new management, but it is absolutely unacceptable to con your customers. A great and convenient piercing place! I've been meaning to repierce my nose and I've looked around at many places and I didn't like the reviews. My friend recommended this location and after reading the stellar reviews I decided to go for it! Their appointment scheduling calendar is super easy to use online and there are appointments available at every slot. I also called to confirm pricing and logistical information and they were super nice over the phone. There is a 1 dollar scheduling fee so just keep that in mind. They just have to fill out a consultation form prior to your appointment. The parking lot is a little small but everyone seems to be in and out so I was able to find parking. They checked me in and my friend was a walk in and they were able to see her so that was cool too. My piercer was super knowledgable and explained everything pretty well. My double helix piercing that was done by Aubrilynn has not healed. I went to another piercing shop to get a consult and they told me the piercings were placed too close together and that they should've been pierced with a stud and not a hoop. I am disappointed, because I spent a ton of money here, only for it to go to waste! I had the shop remove the piercings because it hurts and will not heal even with proper care. I sent a message to HTC on Instagram but have not received a response. This is a terrible, unsafe business practice and I will never return. read more

OVER PRICED AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! This place only allows you to put on jewelry purchased from them if you don't have them with you at your piercing appointment. And guess what? Those cheap jewelry is not cheap! I ended up spending $170 for piercing and inserting the jewelry I don't even like that much 5 months ago... then today they also charge $10 to remove the jewelry !? Plus you need to pay $5 for making appointment!! (COVID cleaning fee...) I was told I could come back after 5 months and get it checked and remove for free on my first visit!! Ever since we walked into HTC few years ago, it's been our go to place if wanting/needing piercings done. These guys know their stuff! Staff is very friendly and helpful and are not there to just upsell you items. Remember to bring proper ID, this rule is strictly enforced. Many family members and I have had piercings done, and this is the only place we trust! HTC cares about you, provides you excellent customer service, sure it might be busy, but don't worry they will not overlook you or rush you through it. I spent around $800 to get six piercings and six new pieces of jewelry. All but one of my original pieces of jewelry has broken off of the rod. They are supposed to be gold and medical grade steel, but they seem to break very easily. None of their shops offered any condolences or apologies, they just told me to buy another piece. They do a great job piercing, but I definitely do not recommend purchasing any jewelry from them. They use bad quality pieces and won't protect you when they break. read more

I got my nose pierced here when I was 15. It took forever to heal. I decided to go to club tattoo to change out my piercing that was not still fully healed 4 years later. They had to realign my piercing for my anatomy and it magically healed. I went to htc yesterday to buy pieces of jewelry along with installation. The jewelry I got was way to bulky...after an hour I went back to complain and they said this is the only jewelry that they have (18 gauge). When the jewelry was installed my piercing started bleeding. I think the piercing stretched out from the jewelry they put in. I have not had any good experiences here and the jewelry is more expensive there-you can go to club tattoo and get the same jewelry for cheaper. read more

Came in today for a vertical earlobe piercing. JoJo helped me pick out my earrings and was super sweet and professional. Blake was my piercer. He helped me nail down positioning of my new earrings and it didn't hurt at all. Everyone was so professional and the studio was super clean. I normally don't like giving bad reviews but I had a really terrible experience here. My biggest issue is that they are not properly informing clients before giving out first time nose piercing with a hoop. As I've come to discover, there's a lot more risks starting your nose piercing with a hoop. Ultimately I felt like I wasn't given enough information of the circumstances when piercing with a hoop. When I went in for my first nose piercing, the front attendant asked me "stud or hoop?" They warned me that hoops can be harder to heal but ultimately "my body my choice". And that's it. I wasn't told any further information about the risks of getting a hoop and when I went in with the piercer, he didn't mention anything. I trusted that the studio would be there to support me through my first nose piercing and if they would of, I wouldn't of decided to take the risk on getting a hoop. I really feel like if this studio is going to be giving hoop piercings they should be properly educating and giving their customers all the information needed before making a decision. Three days after my piercing appointment I already had a bump on my nose. I followed the aftercare instructions precisely and it never went away. After researching it online, I figured out that my bump wasn't going to go away because i needed to get a stud put in in the first place. About a few weeks later, I went back to HTC to see if they could help me change it to a stud. A piercer took a glance at the huge bump on my nose and said to keep washing it and sent me home without doing anything. I felt so defeated because I didn't know what to do about this huge bump on my nose and the studio failed to help me again. After those experiences, I wasn't comfortable going back. I went to a different studio (that was more informative and helpful) and they told me how my situation is why their piercers don't take the risk in piercing with a hoop. The new studio immediately put in a stud for me and it wasn't until then that my bump started to shrink. It's now 7 months later and my bump is smaller but still there. It isn't going away anytime soon. I hope that someday my nose piercing will be flush to my face but because of how my body reacts I'm pretty sure it will be permanent. If you are thinking about getting a hoop piercing at HTC, I hope you think about it twice and fully understand the situation. I think this worst case scenario could of been avoided if HTC would of put more effort into educating/supporting their clients. read more

The person working today was rude (thin, short hair). She was not friendly, impatient, bascially everything you don't want as the first person greeter. The other girl was fantastic (wish she was the one helping me). I wasn't even there to get a piercing just a jewelry exchange and I was offered no options or suggestions (i made an appointmentas was out before i even hit 5 minutes). Super dissapointing. Not everyone walks into a piercing shop knowing what they want. It's already intimidating walking in there and immediately sucks when treated like crap. I asked if there was a piece of jewelry like the one I was wearing on my cartilage and this person says, "oh that's going to be over $200. We were told a quarter inch post would be the perfect size for a conch piercing that needed to be replaced so we bought it based on their expert opinion. We tried to fit it in and it was too small. I paid 50$ just purely for my jewelry, for literally a stud and that was the cheapest they offered, THEN they tell you to come back to downsize the bar or it'll effect the longevity and health of the piercing. Get this, the smaller bar for the jewelry is an additional 20$!! No one told me my jewelry was actually 70$ when I bought it... so now Iv paid 100$ (because I got a double nose) for jewelry I can't even wear in the long run because it's not recommended. I walked into this shop after seeing the good reviews on Yelp! I came in looking to get my tragus pierced and did just that! There were many jewelry choices to choose from which was fun to pick through them! My piercer was Ricky and he was calm, cool and collected which was nice to have during a piercing you are unsure of. Super clean work area! The actual process took no longer than 10 minutes and I was out happy and satisfied. Total I paid about $70... 30$ for the piercing itself and 35$ for the opal earring stud. I have brought my teenage daughter here two times for piercing. The first time she was pierced (septum) it was done by Josh and he was great. Friends and talked her through the process. I brought her back to get her tongue pierced and was told that she would be pierced with the longer bar, but could come back in in a few weeks and get the smaller bar swapped out. I asked if this would cost anything and the piercer Aubrilynne said definitely not, just come back in and swap it out. 3.5 weeks later we called and were told it would cost additional money for smaller bar and fee to have it put in by piercer. I told the receptionist about my prior conversation with Aubrilynne and she was dismissive and rude. I messaged Aubrilynne, and she never responded. We went in anyway, I paid for the new jewelry, but we'll never go back again and never recommend. read more

I have been to HTC years ago, for my first nose piercing. They were clean, hygienic, and friendly, and the process was relatively smooth. They educated me on after care with my piercing, and I was always able to reach out with questions if I had them. Through the years, I've ordered new jewelry from them and my piercing has never been better after I was able to put in a diamond stud and have a round backing. Unfortunately, I needed to remove my piercing a couple of times and have been hesitant to put it back in, but the studio was always helpful if I called ahead of time to fit me in quickly. The most recent time I had taken it out, I didn't put it back in for over a year, and naturally my piercing closed. I had traveled back to AZ to visit family and decided to get my nose pierced again. I was able to book an appt quickly on their website, and they were still the friendly, clean, and hygienic place I remembered. I made the mistake of not calling ahead of time to confirm that they could put in my same jewelry, and when I arrived, they mentioned I needed to have given it to them the day prior so they could sterilize and sanitize it (even though it was their jewelry). While it was frustrating, it reminded me of their hygienic practices and they were flexible in scheduling me for the following day. My piercing the next day went smoothly. I was flying just a few hours after it, and they talked me through taking some extra precautions with changes in pressure. My piercer was also able to list a couple of shops that she'd worked with in my resident city, so that I had a referred location when I wanted to change out my piercing or if I had any complications. Overall, my experiences at HTC have been very nice. I would recommend them to anyone who is considering s piercing and am just sad that they don't have more locations through the country. I went to HTC for the first time for myself (so not accompanying a friend to get something done) this past weekend. I needed jewelry replaced, and although I did not get it pierced here, I knew I could trust HTC based on past experiences and word of mouth. I went in on a Saturday afternoon and waited an hour or so until I could finally be helped. When I was getting my jewelry replaced, the person working with me seemed very annoyed and impatient and made comments about how my piercing was done that didn't really make me feel great walking out. The person also made somewhat negative comments on my friends piercing that she had gotten at that location a couple years prior. And I get it like everyone has bad days and everything it just kind of sucked to have that be my first personal experience but of course I want to be empathetic towards them since I don't know what they're going through. HTC may be slightly pricey but you definitely pay for the knowledge they have. I still think they are a great, reliable company, just still disappointed on how I was treated that day specifically. I would go back if I need a piercing but maybe try a different day! read more

I've been pierced before and have beautifully healed piercings from Halo. The environment is sterile. Last time I went the employees seemed like they'd rather be anywhere else than piercing me. I had a great experience going there. I went right when it opened as was greeted immediately. I didn't have to wait long.
