My 14 year old daughter went in this weekend for a nose piercing and everything went as smoothly as possible. All of the staff were friendly, the wait was very short, and the facility and equipment seemed to be very sterile. My daughter's piercer, Angie, was very kind and took her time in the process. Unfortunately, my daughter is prone to fainting, which she did shortly after the piercing took place. Everyone was quick to respond and help and KayDean knew exactly what to do to ensure my daughter recovered quickly, they gave her an ice pack and some gatorade and water to help her get back to her normal self. Although it was a little scary, the staff all were extremely helpful and remained calm during the episode. I appreciate all of them for helping her out and making sure she was okay. I really liked the second female who waited on me. She was older, maybe middle 20's whereas the first girl was maybe 18 and wasn't particularly helpful. I was on a schedule so I had to stop checking in and choosing the earrings and come back and that's how I got the second woman. I would have preferred to have more choices for my ear piercing stud, but I'm happy with the one I got. Were I to get a third hole in both my ears, I would definitely return here to have them pierced, but would bring my own stud. The young woman who pierced my ears was really careful regarding the placement of my second hole. The piercing part was quick and efficient. There was an attempt at a nice waiting area, but not enough for me to give five stars. Horrible and poor professional communication coming from Angie Estep!!! I went in with two of my best friends about a little more of a month ago. Angie Estep was really rude and had not a little bit of professionalism at all. I wanted to get a naval piercing, I had a total of 5 piercings in that moment, all done by myself. When we got to the place it was almost empty and they said they will have to put me in a waiting list, which I was ok with, we waited 1 hour. When we got back to the place they said they had yo check my anatomy and they called girl that looked about 18 years old to check it, she did look at it from behind the table and just said I will have to get a floating one and then left. Did not really check it nor touched my skin at all, I was ok with getting a floating one even if my bellybutton has the right anatomy and enough skin (I am not a professional at all tho, but still she did not see me sitting down or anything, but they have experience ig) Until now there was no problem, I did agree on whatever they said. When I finally went inside to get the piecing Angie Estep was the one who was going to do it, she hardly sat down in a chair and told me to get ready, which I tried to lay down in the bed because she gave me no directions at all, then she raised her voice and told me not to lay down so I asked if she wanted me to sit in there and she raised it again and told me not to sit either. I asked her where did she want me to be then, by then my friends were already confused because of how she would just expect me to know what she wanted and decided to stop recording. (They wanted to record my reaction while getting the piecing, we asked if we could record before all this happened, unfortunately my friend did delete the video a couple of days later because I was not planing to write this). Once I was standing in front of her, everyone was quite and all we could hear it's her trying to breath really heavily, she marked two lines to do it in the middle and then stared side eyeing it and looking at me pretty weird, which I asked if there was any problem because of her not saying anything at all. She just stared saying "no... mmm, no!, it is not going to look good on you." Which I got really confused and asked what does she means by it is not going to look good on me?, she stared saying that it simply will not, I told her I am getting a floating one how they said, she said that not even if I get a floating one will look good, then before I could say something else about it she stared saying in a rude way that she does not works there for the money and she was not willing to "WAIST" one of her needles on me. My friends and I got really confused about everything and the way she was being like this, we just decided to leave, I told her I'm sorry but I simply don't get why but I think it would be better just to leave this here, she now with a none rude tone asked if there was any other piecing I wanted but the naval, I said no and my decision was better to leave, while we were leaving she just responded. Before leaving the mall I decided to call you this other place close, they were also so confused why she would act that way and invited me to go in. They did actually check my belly anatomy and saw me sitting down, standing up and checked my skin around it, everything was clean and they were so professional and nice. Thy end up doing a normal piecing on me and said that my anatomy is good enough for it, showed me some pictures of other they have done and explained me more about how they decide the anatomy for it. Then explained it is better to get titanium jewelry only, then I would wear surgical steel but they will always and only sell, and recommend titanium. I end up getting a normal piecing and today after one month an 3 weeks I can say it is healing really good. There is almost no red it has enough space, does not hurts at all after the first week, and they have check the process and let me know I can always go back there to get it check and changed jewelry (while I can show them it is titanium jewelry) with no cost. ***I attached some pictures of how it looks when I'm laying down, standing and STTING DOWN*** read more

Hit up Modern Mods for another round of piercing! I went with both of my sister-In-laws, seems to be something we always end up doing when we are together. We went on a weekday night and expected it to be pretty slow, but there was a small wait - about 30 or so minutes. No biggie though, as it gave us time to check out jewelry. What was a bit frustrating was we looked at jewelry for about 15-20 minutes and then the employee who was helping with us said we should check in to get put on the list.....which we thought we had done already.... A few others had checked in, but whatcha gonna do. This time I went for a hidden helix on top and a side helix. My SIL also got a hidden helix and unfortunately my other SIL was SOL as they do not permit piercings if you are breastfeeding. This is not uncommon due to risk of infection and I believe denoted on their website, so not a surprise and just a bit of an oversight on our planning! They were really great at helping me and being patience as I worked through all the jewelry options though, since it's literally endless and most of it is locked behind the case. They have silver, gold, titanium, stainless steel and lots of options. A basic one is included in the cost, but you can upgrade which I ended up doing. The rest of the experience was great and as easy as the first time. After the piercing they tell you to come back in a month to get your back adjusted to a more appropriate size, for some reason I had assumed this would be included into the price, especially since I paid for upgraded jewelry and I didn't request a larger back - I know they do it for healing and swelling, but its very uncomfortable and caused me to get it caught on more things in the long run - BUT upon returning for a change, its 15 dollars for something that cost probably pennies. I feel like it should we worked into the cost, especially if you return with a certain time frame or buy high end jewelry. Regardless, I do like visiting them and they do a good job and their prices overall are reasonable for the service! read more

Went there to go get piercings with my sister our piercings got infected and so messed up and it was a going away thing for us we've cleaned our piercings the way they instructed us to do and it got infected and so messed up mine got so bad that I had to take it out before it got stuck in my belly button and have meat coming out of it. The lady that did our piercings messed up my sister's she had to do it twice and the one that got done once is messed up.We contacted the company and they take no blame they have no care for what their worker did. They told us it's our fault for not cleaning properly but we cleaned it the way they so to do so. Don't ever go there they will mess you up. We had an amazing experience here yesterday! Our 4 year old got her ears pierced finally and it was a breeze. When checking in, we chose out jewelry -- they have a wide range of options and higher quality will of course be more expensive. We chose birthday gemstone with white gold. I came in for my belly button piercing a couple weeks ago and she was very thorough in keeping everything sterile and proper piercing placement for my anatomy. This piercing shop should be avoided. They provide poor advice for piercings and poor information on jewelry. I got my septum pierced here half a year ago. At the time, they would have allowed me to pierce with a "surgical steel" ring. A legit piecing shop only recommends put titanium due to its inertness with the body. Surgical steel is a catch-all phrase for tons of metal compositions, so there is no guarantee it will heal well. When I got pierced, their after care advice was to "take 2 qtips and go to town." Qtips are not recommended to be near new piercings due to the chance a fiber can dislodge. And you always should be gentle with a new piercing. Today, I went to buy a septum ring. They did not tell me the material for the ring until I asked and then they told me it was "surgical steel." Again, not recommended for piercings. I didn't really care about the ring material because I was just going to swap the ends on my existing septum ring. I brought it home, only to find that it was externally threaded while my existing ring was internally threaded. They should have let me know at the counter the threading type so I was fully informed about the piece before purchase. Additionally, they never told me the ring diameter before I purchased the piece. It is upsetting that their sales people don't give all the information up front. I am disappointed that this shop allows new piercings to be pierced with low quality jewelry, give poor aftercare advice, and upset that the sales people do not give all the information up front to allow me to make an educated purchase. Buyer beware, your piercings may not be top quality from this shop. read more

Came for a nose piercing change out and was so impressed with this shop! I had called the day prior to get information about changing out my nose stud piercing to a hoop and was helped by Sierra. She answered my questions and assured me that they would be able to help with everything. They don't do reservations, walk in only which I was a bit worried about. They are located in the Chandler Fashion Mall and when we got there I noticed several employees and only a couple of clients so I realized the wait wouldn't be an issue. They have a terrific selection of jewelry and I was helped immediately. Directed to where nose hoops were displayed, we talked (I forgot this person's name) and she explained the sizes, etc. Within about 10 minutes, I was greeted by Selina who took me back to one of the chairs. Let her know I was nervous...I had gotten my initial piercing in December and it was a stud, which a long stem. She assured me that taking it out and replacing with the hoop was a super simple process and she gave me a mirror so I could watch. Literally within a minute or so, the stud was out and I was sporting my new nose ring. Selina was not only patient and gracious with me, she was also helpful in answering all my questions and just made the process so seamless! The cost for the change-out was just $10 plus the cost of the hoop I purchased. Their prices for gold jewelry is reasonable and they carry various grades of gold along with other options. Overall a great experience and I will not hesitate to go back when I want something different. read more

We were greeted immediately upon entering, and then was asked how they could help us. All options were explained. We decided to proceed. A waiver was signed on a tablet. As my daughter is a minor, they asked for my ID, and had me sign all the forms. There was one person ahead. Between their piercing and sterilization, the wait time was about 15 minutes. Two couches are in the waiting area. The piercer talked to my daughter about placement. The piercer was compassionate and professional. She explained the reasoning for her advice. She then continued to explain what she was doing while she was doing it. Prices are displayed on the wall. Jewlery upgrades are available for purchase, as are aftercare products. Those are titanium grade piercings, that I got from Etsy and had club tattoo switch out what I got from here. Though how you could claim to tell is beyond me since there are dozens of Etsy vendors who sell identical earrings. I've posted a picture of the piercings I got from you guys. As for the interaction, maybe your employees aren't as comfortable with you as you think. I don't know. Maybe she left shortly after that interaction, which was a year before I posted this. It wasn't that she had the woman grab stuff for her it was how she barked orders at her. Given how rude and defensive your response was though I'd guess you wouldn't notice that type of behavior anyway. Funny that you'd try to make this my fault. The center piercing I got a month before I made the mistake of going to modern mods and I've never had a problem with it. I got a belly button piercing and after months it still wasn't healing, I went back and they said just keep washing it daily and then told me change to a titanium belly ring which I did and bought from them for 50.00. So I've now been here a total of 4 times for 6 various ear piercings. And I can honestly say you will either have a 5 star experience or a 1 star experience and that will be completely dependent on your piercer and the front desk person who helps you. I cannot recommend Emily and Lina as piercers enough. They are just absolutely amazing from start to finish with your piercing. So thorough, extremely helpful, very attentive, and are honest about their thoughts and recommendations. They truly make sure you have a positive experience and get exactly what you want. As for the front desk, the only positive experience I've had was with the lady with blue hair (wish I knew her name). But, oh my goodness, I was blown away by how sweet and helpful she was. She helped me pick out my helix and conch earrings by holding up the different combinations to my ear that I was considering. She was so gently encouraging about the conch by sharing her own experience because I was pretty nervous about it and couldn't decide if I wanted to go through with it. So before I made the final decision, she asked if I wanted to see the choices for the conch, and sure enough, the choices were so pretty, that it gave me the confidence to go for it. And I was so glad I did! I'll always be grateful to her giving me the confidence to do it. As for the not so good parts...aside from the lady with blue hair, all my other front desk experiences have been just okay or really bad. As I mentioned before, the jewelry that comes with the cost of the piercing wasn't offered to me and it continued to be that way 3 out of the 4 times I went. (Lady with the blue hair offered all the options to me of course!). Not the worse thing in the world, but was a little meh since I had to advocate for all the options. The last time I went though was really frustrating because multiple people at the front desk were so rude to me as I was asking for what or who I wanted or talking with them about medication I was on that could affect the piercing. As for the piercers, thank goodness I never had a bad experience. But while I was checking in, I overheard someone getting pierced and the piercer was so rude to her, that I made sure that the two piercers who I could get, wouldn't be her as one of them. So yeah, overall, you just gotta read these reviews to know which piercer to ask for and hope you get someone nice at the front desk. read more

Great service! Had my babies ears pierced at 3 months. They use a needle versus a gun which is a lot better for healing. No vaccinations required. Wait time wasn't bad either. Baby cried momentarily and had very little bleeding. I bought in my own earrings but I couldn't use them because it wasn't an open backing and it wasn't long enough for proper ventilation. I bought cleaning solution here but used it very sparingly. read more
