I went into this shop twice because I was having issues with my new septum piercing that I had gotten done at a different place. The first time I went in, the guy had taken me in almost immediately to help me fix the issue completely free of charge. He screwed the spike back onto my piercing, made a funny joke about internally threaded jewelry and I was up and out within 5 minutes! The next day, the spike had come undone a second time, so I went back in once more to troubleshoot the issue. The guy thought the internal thread must've cracked from when I initially got it done (I got it pierced at a shop in Chandler) and gave me the option to do a jewelry replacement. It was only $20 for the surgical steel, he was incredibly gentle considering how fresh the piercing was and overall super friendly. I was--again--up and out in 5 minutes. Everyone at the shop is incredibly friendly and professional. I also don't mind the home-y vibe to it! Shockingly enough, the more intimate atmosphere made me feel better than even the most professional places I've been to. 10/10 HIGHLY!!! recommend Yellowdoor :) read more

This guy doesn't like women! My boy friend & I decided to give this new Tattoo shop some business. This tattoo (a half sleeve) was to cover up an old existing tattoo that completely wrapped around the forearm. My boyfriend sat down in the chair and a stencil was presented. Keith bypassed the consultation and expected to start tattooing right off the bat. The stencil was the third of what my boyfriend wanted. I asked Keith questions about the stencil size and the coverage. Keith didn't like me interfering. Within seconds he told us that he would not work with us. I thanked him for his time & walked out. As we left, my boyfriend said, "I really thought this was a consult, to talk about how this would be done" Keith became unhinged, screaming "get the F@&k out of my shop" He continue to scream louder as we left just because I questioned the size of the stencil. His Tirade escalated quickly. Once outside, Keith followed us into the parking lot and started challenging my boyfriend to a fight! I had to threaten to call the cops. Unbelievable treatment, unprofessional and unstable. Update to your response: we met the tattooer for all of three minutes. He Never looked at the arm in question nor did he clarify how big the tattoo was suppose to be. The stencil was a third of the size of the area that needed to be covered. It just wasn't big enough! The tattoo just didn't fit the space requested. I resent that you are insinuating that we brought the prison yard to your shop! We were happy to be there and when Keith said he wouldn't do the tattoo. I got up, thanked him for his time and walked out. Keith was loud and belligerent, He even followed us into the parking lot with threats of fighting my boyfriend. We didn't bring the prison yard to your shop, it was already there which was unfortunate. read more

Came in and got a double conch piercing Shawn did the piercings and put hoops in my ear, called back a few days later asking for Shawn to tell him the hoops were cutting through my ear and his response was "Yeah I thought that was gonna happen you can come back in and I'll take them out." They obviously don't care about their clients well being and is just in it for a quick buck. Cash only, sketchy vibes, I do not recommend this place to anyone. If you want a good piercer that actually cares about your health and your experience go to "Next Wave Tattoo Piercing" and ask for Lori. She is the piercer I went to after I talked to Shawn. She fixed his major mistakes and didn't even charge me because she felt so bad that I even had to go through all of this. read more

praying they have gotten better since i came in about a year ago. i wish i could give 0 stars..... I went here for my first tattoo & second ear lobe piercings on my 18th bday and it was a huge mistake. let's start with the tattoo. 1 year later the lines are so fat and thick you can't even read it. after i took off the wrap ( a week later like i was told to) i noticed the lines were bigger but thought it was just from being new and healing.... nope they just got worst. my piercings were a whole other mess. i wanted seconds and thirds. the piercer yelled FUCK! oh shit oh shit fuck me as a needle went through my ear lobe. i looked at my friend who was with me and she looked terrified. she told me it was gushing blood. he claimed to have fixed it and attempted to do my third before messing that up too. after multiple tries to pierce me and blood all over my ear and neck i told him nevermind. he said my ear just wasn't right for a 3rd ear lobe piercing. (i went to a better shop after this where they said i have more than enough room for 3rds.) my second ear lobe piercings from yellow door got infected and i had to take them out within the week i got them. DONT GO HERE. all i got from this place was infected ears, unnecessary holes, and the need for a cover up tattoo. will be inserting images of my ears and before and after or the tattoo to show how fat the lines got. update to ur response : thank you i'm glad to hear he was replaced ! i might come by for a new piercing some time. i appreciate it:) read more

Shawn and Keith are both amazing! The first time I came in was after my cartilage piercing fell out (done at a different shop). It was pierced incorrectly so I was unable to put jewelry in it myself. Keith was able to get it replaced in seconds with absolutely no pain. I came in today for the second time to get my jewelry in my rook replaced. Once again it was pierced incorrectly and Shawn was able to replace it with a tiny curved bar I had brought in with no discomfort. This is now my favorite shop and will only be coming here for my new piercings!! read more

I went in to get my nose pierced last night, super spontaneously. I came in around 8:40 and he ended up staying until 10 piercing me and my cousin. Shawn was so funny and friendly. Gave us great advice on how to clean it and properly take care of everything. Made sure we like the placement before he pierced anything. I ended up leaving with a double nose piercing and my cousin got a double helix and nose piercing. We both love our piercing's so much they look great!!! Definitely recommend and will be back!!
