If we were doing a Surface tragus, we use surface barbells. There is a long flat piece with two 90 degree bends where we thread the jewelry.

This spot came highly recommended from friends but mostly my trusted niece. She came here to get her eyebrow piercing and raved about their services. With several locations, we preferred the Tempe location. Super easy to schedule an appointment online and quick forms to complete before your appointment. I opted to get my nose pierced and potentially two more ear piercings. The selection of jewelry varies from affordable to really high end solid gold. The receptionist was so knowledgeable and wonderful at making suggestions for my choices. Love her style and she was spot on in matching my vibe. I loved being able to mix my metals of gold, silver and rose gold. For me, I wanted higher quality and fashionable pieces so my total was over $700 with the piercings and jewelry. They also had MDW sale discount of 20% but that eventually went as my tip to my piercer Josh. He is super cool and very thorough. Made me feel comfortable and laughing. My niece had Aubrilynn and loved her. As for the piercing, it is not painful at all. If you can take waxing or plucking, it's easy peasy! There is a little soreness on my left ear but it went away after treating myself to Taiwanese pancakes and jelly tea. You should purchase the saline solution to keep your piercings clean. Accessories are the exclamation point to your outfit. So if you're up for it, get pierced here with any of their incredible staff. To me, overdressed is a myth invented by those who have never been fabulous.

My daughter got her helix pierced here and the piercing was great. The piercer was great, but we invested an expensive piece of jewelry and the stone fell out. This was a minor frustration as stuff like this can happen, but unfortunately it was not communicated to us that they would have the jewelry for months. It was communicated to us that it would be weeks. They changed out my daughter's earring putting a non-gold earring in her ear, causing her ear to keloid. Upon calling the shop, they let me know that they didn't have any records of us, dropping off the jewelry. Again, a minor annoyance. But where the frustration begin is whoever the young lady was that took the call. I believe she said she was the shop manager. Argued with me up and down about the keloid accusing my daughter is not taking care of her piercing. I assured her that my daughter was taken care of for her piercing, that she did not have a keloid before changing the earring as well as keloiding is a common issue within minorities anybody with melanin that would come from changing the earring before the healing process. She insisted on arguing with me up and down and letting me know that this had nothing to do with the shop that their jewelry is body safe it was all about how we were taking care of the piercing and she went on and on. I let her know that I was the consumer and unfortunately, although she might be highly educated in some of these subjects, she does not know everything and if she doesn't have any melanin in her body, how could she possibly understand keloids and perhaps she should educate herself a little further on them. I told her I didn't wish to debacle with her anymore and if the shop director could just call me, I would appreciate it and I hung up. A few days later, the Director called me in which she was very nice very understanding and validated all my concerns. she told me that they were having an earring shipped to the shop to replace my daughter's. This was now at least 2-3 weeks ago, have not heard anything from the shop. I'm not getting return calls and still have no answers on where my daughter's expensive earring has gone or a replacement. It's super unfortunate because I really enjoy all the people at club tattoo. The piercers are amazing. The artists are amazing and quite honestly I've never had a bad interaction there up until this one. It's always very clean Smells great and is normally a 10 out of 10 experience unfortunately due to how unprofessional this experience has been I honestly am not sure if I will continue to use club tattoo.

We went back and 2 out of the four were incorrectly pierced on a downward angle and right/downward angle on both of her left side. Our daughter is too afraid to remove the helix piercing to have it redone but has removed the lobe piercing so it can heal to be redone correctly in a month. No manager reached out on that day or the day after Thanksgiving until I called to complain. Apparently protocol is to have an available manager reach out the same day. Sage had not told anyone until after I called. This is a very unprofessional outfit. Make sure you ask how long the "piercer" has pierced ears and ask if any issues with anyone prior. Sage told us after the fact she had done the same thing before on thtee other occasion's all on the left side. Our fault for not asking prior. It's definitely worth the drive to go to Chandler Mall, apparently there are two locations there. It's where we previously went where we had no issues. Unfortunately we live further away from that location. Learning curve for us is to do due diligence in future.

I found this lovely shop via Facebook because the unique, one of a kind jewelry caught my eye. Once I laid eyes on the 14k rose gold feather stud, I knew I had to have it! I contacted Robert Wilson through Facebook for prices and was immediately greeted with all the information. Not only were his reply messages prompt, but he worked with me so much when it came to information, questions I had, appointment times and prices. There are so many shops in the West Valley, but I drove the 40 minutes to his shop and did not have one regret! Robert is just as friendly in person as he is through messaging! The facility is clean, bright and friendly and is easy to locate. His jewelry line is one of the best and most unique I've seen in Phoenix. He carries gorgeous, one of a kind pieces that any person, no matter what you already have pierced or get pierced, will immediately fall in love with and Robert gets new pieces all the time! I was in the shop at least half an hour visiting with Robert about piercings and jewelry before we even performed my left forward helix piercing. I have never met a more personable, honest, professional and informative person who does piercings and I have been to quite a few shops! Robert is very passionate about what he does and his business and every customer and it reflects in his amazing work! During the piercing he explains each step thoroughly and is very gentle. I had my right forward helix done last year and afterwards it was very tender and took a long while to heal. I had my left one done today about 3 hours ago, and I can't even feel it now! Nor is there any swelling! What a difference his high quality jewelery makes! I can't be more happy or satisfied and have already planned a trip back for several other piercings and also, a tattoo by his friendly and open tattoo artist! It's been awhile since I have had anything pierced. I know that I have been wanting to get something done, just nothing too extravagant. Rob, the piercer at Third Eye Body Art walked me through the process, start to finish! He helped me pick where to get pierced and with what. I was torn between my nostril and my septum. I settled on the nostril. It took me about 10 minutes to pick a piece of jewelry because there were SO many to choose from. Once I found a style that I liked, it took forever to decide on a color. Once I settled on the jewelry, he took me to the piercing room and walked me through what he would do. I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous. I mean, no matter how many piercings or tattoos you have had, when someone is about to drive a needle through your skin, you get a little apprehensive. I am happy to report that it didn't really hurt at all! Between his precision and what I assume to be the high-quality materials he uses, it was more of a pinch than anything! I plan on going back in the next few weeks to have some work done on both of my ears. I have been pierced by three different people in my life. The guy who did my tongue was quick, but not a very sociable person. The guy who did my lip was an ass and it freakin' HURT. Rob would be the third and I will be going to him for all of my piercings from now on. He is also the only person I have been referring to my friends to get work done. One thing that also caught my attention was how clean the shop was. It was organized and was sporting some artwork of local artists, which I thought was pretty badass. I came into Third Eye to get my septum piercing. I came into the shop and the environment immediately calmed what little nerves I had. Tristan, the owner and piercer at Third Eye, talked to me about jewelry options, aftercare and what not to do. He then quoted me an incredible estimate of $85 which is honestly less than what i was thinking i'd have to spend. Tristan then went and sterilized the equipment while I sat and waited in the front area. It only took maybe 8-10 minutes before He was ready. The actual piercing hurt like hell but was over super quick. The piercing was exactly centered and looked amazing. I had funky nose anatomy and Tristan took this into account and worked with me to get me the piercing I wanted. After the piercing was over, we went up front and I paid. The original quote was $85 but when i was given the total, I was shocked to find that the total was $48. I was told that because it was my birthday, my piercing fee was dropped and I only had to pay for jewelry. I cannot recommend this shop enough. I will definitely make this shop my regular place from now on. The piercer, Tristan, made the whole experience as professional, clean, and painless as possible. I would hope that anyone reading this review would choose Third Eye Body Art for their piercings over the competition. I was very leery to take my girls (6 and 9) to the mall to get their ears pierced. After doing some research, I decided to take them to a tattoo/piercing studio instead. I called Third Eye Body Art to ask them some basic questions about piercing. They were very nice over the phone and immediately put my mind at ease. The entire experience was wonderful. Rob was so great with my girls who were both very nervous to have their ears pierced. The studio was very clean and everything they used was sterile. They even put on sterile gloves before doing the actual piercing. The cost to have the piercing done was $55 and the price for the earrings varied depending on what you choose. One thing to note, the earring prices they quote are per earring, not per pair so it is more expensive than going to the mall BUT it is worth every penny. I came in just to get new jewelry but he took a look at my piercing and explained why it needed to be re-pierced. I agreed because I didn't want anything to happen to my tragus piercing. We went to Third Eye Body Art to have our 5 year old daughter's ears pierced. As soon as went in for our appointment Robert was amazing. They take the child's body autonomy very seriously and made sure she was happy with every step of the process. Robert was also very patient between ears when she needed some time between ears. I heartily recommend this shop for all your piercing needs. They change gloves between steps. All the needles are disposable. They even use sealed sterile surgical gloves, not standard gloves out of a box like every other shop I have ever seen. Truly great business. read more

One of the worst shops I've ever been in. The owner, Robert, is horrible and doesn't know what he's doing at all. This shop doesn't even deserve one star but it's the lowest it'll let me go. I took my 13 year old daughter in there and Robert did nothing but try to flirt with her and stare at her like a piece of meat! This place is so unprofessional and the piercing Robert did came out completely crooked and wasn't even deep enough in the tissue to stay in. Tristan was extremely helpful in replacing my piercing. He was very professional, knowledgeable, and kind during my appointment. I visited the shop during the COVID-19 pandemic, and shop was super clean. I liked that it was appointment only, and they only allowed customers (no +1's) in the shop and not everyone and their mother! When I walked in I was blown away with the appearance of the shop, its not like any of the other shops I got my piercings at, It reminded me of like a jewelry store mixed with a doctors office. The piercer was really friendly and knowledgeable he helped me pick out a pretty diamond for my nose and its REAL GOLD! my nose looks so fancy now! Me and my girlfriend came in Monday and were greeted by Jonny and Triston who pierced us both. They did fantastic and took every precaution, walked us through every step and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. We are both very satisfied and we will definitely come again. If I could give 10 stars I would. I got a horrible nose piercing from a different shop and it fell out within 3 days. I just got it re-pierced here and they honestly were 100x better. The lady who helped me made sure to position it where I wanted it and she was so nice about the whole process. I don't think I'll go anywhere else for a piercing ever again read more

That said, this shop can be booked out months in advance and if you request Smiley himself, you might be waiting up to a year! Smiley and his shop come highly certified from years of experience , to outstanding awards and achievements throughout the country and a social media following that even includes famous people. This is actually how we found him and then to realize he's in the same state was a no brainer! *Recommend: in choosing a qualified tattoo artist, we thoroughly researched Smiley's work online, found focusing on his stellar artistry, incredible style, consistency, attention to detail, expertise, etc. and after checking ALL these boxes, we knew his shop was absolutely the one for us! On the day to get officially inked we arrived on time. However, they had fallen behind due to an appointment running longer than it should. We were informed that our original tattoo artist wasn't going to be available to start with us for at-least another hour or so! We had already been patiently waiting way beyond our schedule time frame, but that ended up working to our advantage cause we turned out getting Smiley himself! He was able to do his magic, like it was nothing and had my daughter and I done within about an hour and a half for the BOTH of us! Stellar work, exactly what we wanted (to cherish) and we definitely knew we were the lucky ones that day because this literally "NEVER" happens here (as we were told) and to be so fortunate to have the owner himself do our work was incredible since Smiley is always requested and generally is booked out beyond belief as I had mentioned above. Truly the nicest guy!! This place got 5 Stars just for that alone! Note- They also offer professional piercings & jewelry selections. The hygiene practices and professionalism by the entire staff makes for a comfortable level of care whether for your tattoo or body piercing. The employees were great! Made us feel welcomed and valued. If you're in the market for a tattoo, don't think about where: Go here! We will absolutely be returning to have more work done in the future and would love to hit up one of Smiley's local competition shows too!

There were a lot of weird and creepy comments made throughout the whole process, but mainly the tattoo was just awful. He was extremely heavy handed and it hurt super bad. It was supposed to be an apple with shading and white stars, but it's literally just a blob with no shape and kind of looks like a bruise. The girl I went to fix my tattoo said she was actually fixing another tattoo from the same guy that did mine. Her tattoo was literally INFECTED.
