I recently had the unfortunate experience of hiring House Keep Up for what was supposed to be a deep cleaning of my new condo. What I received instead was nothing short of a scam. Despite their lofty promises and exorbitant fees, their so-called "deep cleaning" was a complete joke. Firstly, the communication is over the top because they use it as evidence if you try to argue with them. When they began, it was clear that their definition of "deep cleaning" was vastly different from any reasonable standard. Dust and dirt were still visible on surfaces they supposedly cleaned, and it looked like they hadn't even touched several areas. When walked through there was visible dirt on bare feet after they said they mopped several times. Mind you this condo was completely empty and not in bad shape to begin with. The bathrooms were particularly disgusting. The tiles and grout were still grimy, and there were soap scum and water stains left untouched. The kitchen, which needed a thorough scrub, was barely cleaner than before they arrived. The countertops were still sticky, and I found crumbs in the corners that were allegedly cleaned. I also paid extra for the insides of cabinets which were dusty upon inspection. What really infuriated me was their handling of my hardwood floors. Instead of the careful attention they promised, the floors were left with streaks and patches that were worse than before. It's as if they used dirty water and an old rag instead of proper cleaning materials. I watched them use the same rags to clean the counters! When I confronted the crew about the subpar job, they went back to clean more and instead just sent more photos of the already poor job they did. The company's customer service was equally unhelpful and unapologetic and said they spent 4 hours cleaning when they cleaned in one hour, I spent 2 hours arguing with them, then they came back and took photos for an additional hour and did not clean any further. To anyone considering House Keep Up, I strongly advise you to stay away. They are nothing but fraudsters who overcharge for minimal effort. Save your money and find a reputable company that actually delivers on their promises. House Keep Up is the epitome of unprofessionalism and deceit and I have no idea how they are still in business or have reputable reviews online. read more

I had my home cleaned by House Keep Up 5 days before Thanksgiving. This was my first time ever using a cleaning service. I also work in the service industry, and was just too busy this year to get everything done. After booking online, (actually even before, as I was communicating with the owner, Ben, thru "Nextdoor") I received a phone call to discuss details, questions and pricing. I had worked on the day the cleaning was done (on a Saturday), but received a phone call right after the crew had left to get my approval. I was not yet home. When I got home later and started to walk around my house, I couldn't believe it. Now you have to realize that we left quite the canvas to work with, and the results were a work of art. This was a terrible experience. I asked this company to come before the holidays and they had an opening for dec. 22 I think. They sent one woman for two beds two baths 1000+ sq ft deep clean, with a prepaid tip, above $200. When I came home I barely noticed that she cleaned. I was lied the house and noticed the photos below. Wes the rep said "the maids cleaned under the items". My thought was then put them back messily?! Not true. These are obvious proofs of not cleaning. Looking closer I saw dirt in places expected clean. I emailed the photos to the company and they said the maid could come rectify the issue. I told them my wife and I would fix it ourselves and I asked for a discount at least. Wes called me and informed me that that the maid was on her way to my house at night to rectify the issue because I told him "I'd be home" but never asked for her to come, I asked for a discount. Finally, we agreed on a discount (half) and hung up. He called me an hour or so later and said "the maid was really counting on the money for Christmas and wants to come again". She'd have to clean the entire house again because I'm lost at what she cleaned to begin which we did not have time for. For respect for the maid I won't include her name. I believe it's the company who failed me and their rep for not sending the appropriate amount of people or providing the time to do the job right and not condemning the clean as soon as I showed the pictures. Terrible cleaning service. The first time they came they did a good job. Since then they have gotten worse and worse every month. They are late every time. They forget to do things that are ordered. My apartment was a mess because of renovations happening in apartments on my floor (dust everywhere and just plain messy). Sandra did an amazing job with the deep clean. She even did the dishes and folded clothes for me. I'm picky and she asked me if there was anything that she'd missed and there was nothing that I could find. She took the trash out, organized my things and was very friendly. She was on time and spent over 3 hours (despite being told two by Wes). I was very excited to give this company a shot based on the 5 star reviews however the lack of reviews should have leveled my excitement a bit. I do feel the company does a great job communicating because I had spoken to Wes 2x prior to my booking to be sure I had all my questions answered. As well as another woman who called to confirm my appointment. This review is a direct reflection of the quality of the cleaning service. I opted for a regular cleaning which to my understanding included their 40+ item check list. However, as soon as I opened my front door I could see the floor was still dirty and dusty. I began to check over the bedroom and living room and found the bedroom to be the dirtiest. All surfaces in the bedroom and living room were left dusty. Hair, dust, dirt and other spots were also visible throughout the floor surfaces in every room. Counter tops in the bathroom were also still left dusty. It was nice of her to clean the 1 cup, fork and knife I had left in the sink before leaving (that was unexpected) but its hard for me to accept the fact that I was left with dirty floors and countertops after a cleaning. I wish the outcome would have been different. For the price and quality of service I received from the one lady "team" that came to clean my apartment, I feel there are PLENTY of other services and individuals out there and unfortunately do not recommend this company. read more

They went above and beyond, they even reorganized areas of our kitchen and bedroom that made us realize that our organizational skills are severely lacking... Our previously disgusting tub is sparkling clean, and the idea of a bath in it no longer makes my skin crawl. The two years of caked on food on the stove top, which was so glued on that I thought it had become necessary to the integrity of the stove, has miraculously been removed. Search on Yelp and messaged/called 4 cleaning services which had 4 stars or more. Well, they were the first ones to call me back. With only 11 reviews, these guys had a 5 star rating. I called around 11:30 and by 2pm they had a crew of two at my door. About three hours later, they had chiseled through the grease and the kitchen was sparkling clean, from the tops of the cabinets, to the floors behind the stove and refrigerator, these guys were champs. We work full time, are always running around for sports, and having to clean the house all the time just drives us nuts! We felt like we never had any quality time to spend together. The service was terrible. We had our hardwood floors refinished so there was wood dust everywhere. All I asked them to do was dust all surfaces on the first floor. All they did was wipe off the counters and cabinets in the kitchen. They didn't touch the shelves in the living room or any of the windows which are clearly covered with wood dust. They offered a discount if I get another cleaning but I would never hire them again. I would rather have some money back. I had to end up doing all of the work. read more
