Matt at Hound for Hound has been our weekly walker for about 8 months now. We moved to Austin and were looking for a quality regular walker for our 2 y/o pup, Macklin. He got set up with us right away when we moved here: met us the next day after contacting him and immediately became our new walker! Matt is super responsible and has never missed a walk (he has others that will walk her if he is unavailable) and he is also really understanding if our schedule changes last minute! Matt watched the cats while me and my husband went away for 2 weeks over Christmas. The inital meeting gave me a lot of confidence that this guy was not only someone who'd do a great job taking care of our pets, but also someone I had no reservations about handing over the keys to the house. He sent me text messages at every visit, which let me see how the little ones were doing and letting me know if there was any kind of problem. I've been very pleased with Matt and highly recommend him! As a longtime professional in the pet care industry myself, I'd like to see more pet sitters take their job as seriously as Matt does. I've had him care for my dogs a number of times and have been very happy. We first started using Hound for Hound this year, for our two cats, when we took a 2 week trip out of the country. I was very hesitant to leave my cats with someone else,especially for so long, but Matt was awesome and put our minds at ease. Everyday we received a photo and update on how they were doing. Matt and Hound for Hound have been taking care of our pup for almost four months now, and I have nothing but great things to say about their business. Matt has been taking our puppy for lunchtime walks and potty breaks since the age of two months, and I think she's gotten accustomed to seeing Matt as part of her daily routine. Matt has endured the growing pains and accidents dealing with a shelter puppy, and he's been extremely heplful in answering questions and providing training tips (as Matt is a proud dog owner as well). Each daily visit is accompanied with a message and a picture, which sometimes the highlight of mine and my wife's work day. He even goes above and beyond and sometimes provides our pup with a little extra attention and belly rubs when she's having a rough day. Matt has been walking my corgi, Henry, for four and a half years now, and I couldn't do it without him. He walks him every workday, sends me a status update text with picture, and lets me know if anything is wrong at the house (open garage door, etc.). Matt has watched Henry when we have been out of town, and always lets me know if he thinks Henry needs vet attention or if something is wrong.
