This review is only based off of my experience/ first impressions and this business may work amazingly for your dog! Once I found Walk ATX it took me a while to get in contact with someone, called a couple times, left a voicemail, sent a couple emails -to no avail! Sent a dm on insta as a last resort and finally got in contact with someone! Yay! Erika helped me set up my account and went over daycare. Dropped my pup off for his first day! First impressions matter to me and as someone who is nervous I would have loved to see them greet my dog. Instead the woman at the front ( not sure her name - mullet - immediately went into a quick " take off the leash. What's his name? You'll get an update at 11" And then I watched her usher him straight to the backyard. No saying hi to the dog, no convo with me, no easing his nerves, no questions about him, no petting him, no introductions, nothing. I didn't love that, especially since it was our first time and it made me much more nervous to drop him off there. Around 11:00 I started to look for updates, none. Tried to call 3 times, no answer. Again this is his first day so not hearing anything on how he was doing and getting no photos - nerves then rose to an all time high. People are allowed to have bad days so will update this after a few more times. Just know the first day is not as informative or warm may not be as warm as you'd expect.

It is difficult to find a doggy boarding/day care that provides such well rounded, holistic approach to pet care. We have used Walk ATX for boarding, day camp with pick up and drop off included, and for in home check ins with walks. As well as their add-ons like baths and fun photoshoots. Mo is a party animal - we are constantly training, working with him and we fill all of his needs. Yet he is an energetic, happy 2.5yo rescue from Austin Pets Alive. He is a foster win actually. He's always soooo excited when he realizes he's about to get dropped off at Walk ATX and he's welcomed with big smiles and a huge "Hi Mo!!!!!" by the passionate and hard working staff. Walk ATX does pack walks, outdoor playtime in their yard with staff assigned to different groups of dogs. I love that there's constant supervision and a structured day. Including rest/down time, which is just as important as to not overstimulate the doggos. It seems as if Walk ATX has only gotten better over the years. They've incorporated training, special add-ons, and cool adventures. Last time Mo stayed with them while we were in Costa Rica, Britton and the team were super attentive (Mo was on limited activity for the first few days per our vet), and even called to give an update, in addition to their daily updates via email and on their app "Time to Pet". I know Mo is cared for and looked after by a group of caring animal lovers.

My family and I have been consistently using Hound for Hound's services 3-5 times a week for the past year, and I must say, Matt has been nothing short of phenomenal. Living in East Austin, we've seen our fair share of unpredictable weather, but Matt's commitment never wavers. Rain or shine, cold or hot - he's there, ensuring our beloved Buca gets his much-needed walks and care. What truly sets Matt apart is his reliability and honesty. He's not just a dog walker; he's become a part of our extended family. This was especially evident during our month-long trip out of the country. Austin faced some serious freeze days, and it was over the Christmas holidays, yet Matt was there, braving the elements to make sure Buca was well looked after. He didn't just walk Buca; he provided him with the love and attention he missed from us. He would would share GPS tracking and pics of Buca daily and to the extent of taking off his gloves in the freeze to snap videos while he was walking him to share with us Hiring Matt from Hound for Hound is a decision you won't regret. He's a true professional who goes above and beyond, not just in his duties, but in his genuine care for the pets he looks after. We are eternally grateful for his services and cannot recommend him enough. If you're seeking someone who will treat your pet with the same love and care as you do, look no further than Matt and Hound for Hound. Thank you Matt, Buca & Conway Family

I'm a first time dog mom and am very worried person - I totally trust Ken Walks Dogs. They send photos and updates and are super easy to book through the app. My dog can't wag her tail hard enough when they pick her up - and she naps for hours when she's back from her adventure. Honestly, book him just for the professional style photos and videos! Keep coming back for the joy he brings your pup.

I could feel good about my dog traveling safely, because they have Commercially Insured Pet Taxi licensure (the last company I utilized didn't have any kind of safety measures when traveling). In terms of management, you can read the website to get a feel for how this company is managed, or I can make it easy and just tell you that Ken is a very hands-on, engaged owner. They no longer send photos to us as proof of walk and validation our dogs are happy. Rather than send photos to the owners, they take photos which are relayed back to corporate. I'm to believe this change is somehow beneficial to me? They have stated they no longer have the capacity to manually relay photos to clients, but ARE able to manually relay photos to corporation. A tad counterintuitive and certainly not focused on customer. They've also stated having a lock box at my house makes me more secure because they no longer hold onto keys. Sure, unless someone takes the box, their employees access my house after hours, etc...It's the same situation as before except more people have access to my keys than before. OH, and every update they give us online are EXACTLY the same day after day after day. Clearly, my dogs do not pee and poop the same number of times weeks in a row. They continue to insist clients love all their changes and fail to acknowledge any decrease in service as a result. It's "my perception," which clearly doesn't matter and is dismissed as a minority view rather than at all validated. What was once a good business has taken a hit. UPDATE: NO phone calls. No responses from the Dog Butlers. Having now talked to friends, found out they've dropped Austin Dog Butler.

Halfway through the year, the individual walking my dog changed and the process went very smoothly (the old walker even introduced the new walker to my dog so he would have a familiar face for the first introduction). I could not be more pleased with the service from Austin Dog Butler.
