This place has great service and are very friendly. I like that they have this set up where you can go and choose what you want when you want and don't have to wait for someone to bring it. I also love the sauce bar here, I made my own dipping sauce but they have recipes to follow as well. The food was just okay to me, but that could've been because I wasn't too keen on the broths that we had. One of them just didn't quite taste right. The reason for the three stars is because the broth wasn't very good and I wasn't a fan of the table set up. I don't think I'll come back but may try again with different broth.

There aren't any places that do both hot pot and kbbq in Portland, so my friends and I were super excited when we found out this place was opening. When you first walk in, there is a waiting area and then it opens into the buffet area. The table space was a lot smaller than I expected but the place was modern and liked looked kinda like a club. The selection of food was very large, they had a pre-made section (noodles, fried rice, eggs rolls, etc.. ), a sauce making station, frozen meats, marinated meats, seafood, and veggies. They had pretty much everything you would expect at a hot pot place. The quality of food is where this place falls short for me. The hotpot side of things was definition better than the kbbq (they put a piece of parchment paper over the grill for some reason). The bbq meats just weren't the best and they didn't have any of the sides like kimchi or bean sprouts. The price is comparable to regular AYCE hotpot and kbbq places, so I don't think it's a bad deal if you are really craving both, but this won't be on my list of places to go back to anytime soon.

This was pretty good! I like the variety they have on food options. And kbbq+hotpot together is a plus! I didn't really like their broth options though. And the broth doesn't taste as good compared to happy lamb. Overall a great place to go to if you're looking for variety and a combo of hotpot and kbbq!

Second time here and I would say I have to go down a star this time. They still did not have any of the drinks that are pictured on the back side of the menu (why have them on there at all?) and now it's been some time since they've opened. Secondly, they did not have the Chinese yam that they had the first time I went. My mom loves Chinese yam so that was a big reason of why I brought her, so that was disappointing. Third, the sesame balls were cold and not on a warmer, which made them much less appealing. This time I did not use the grill at all and just focused on the hot pot. Ingredients were still overall good, but definitely some room for improvements.

Love hotpot so was excited to try this new joint. $45 on a holiday is pretty pricey but the decor was really nice. Whale statue in the entrance and nice lighting. Kinda felt like a club. There was a large selection of noodles, fishcakes/balls, seafoods, and meats for hotpot or Korean bbq. We only did hotpot as the kbbq meats looked interesting. We had tomyum and spicy beef soup. Overall we enjoyed our meal. The hotpot pots are pretty small so it was fine for 2 people but a bigger group it would be crowded. The wagyu beef slices were pretty good and tender. The small crabs were delicious with the body super silky after cooking in the broth. We liked the abalone and fishballs. 90 minutes went pretty fast as that's the time limit but for us it was just enough. Was pretty good and would definitely come back but would recommend parties of 4 or less.

It's fun to enjoy hotpot and BBQ at the same time with friends. They offer a variety of food options, and the vegetables are fresh, meat is so so, seafood is ok. The dessert was just okay too, but the oranges were juicy and sweet. The best part is you don't need to ask for people to bring the food, you can just go get it yourself, get all the things you like! The broth wasn't spicy at all. The place was very crowded, and the tables were small, making it hard to find space for all the dishes. Also, the tables near the bar, where people were playing pool, felt a bit out of place.

Wow, feels like entering a fancy seafood in Las Vegas or NYC. Fancy!! Great vibe ! It's so different than any Hot Pot place in town. Lot of seafood options, including variety of crabs, shellfish, fishes and also, crawfish, shrimp etc, don't forget to try Chinese style slice hot pot meat such as lamb, beef, pork and Wagyu. A good combination of Hot Pot and Grill to buffet style seafood restaurant. Ready to enjoy them at the same time with one price. Service is ok since this was the very first day, hopefully when they'll become more efficient soon.

I stopped today to have lunch while I was in Tigard. Wanted to try something different so I figured that hot pot palace was a good choice. Well, can't win them all. I'm not a fan of the food here. You get your choice of two "broth" and you really don't know what you're getting if it's your first time like me. You get to choose Two the first one I chose tasted like and smelled like melted crayons. The second was tasty, but it was so hot. I couldn't eat it. I saw a bits of tried hot peppers in it should've known. There's really no instruction for rookies like me. I was just looking at the food in the salad bar type set up. When I got back to my table, the broth were ready to go. The fire wasn't turned up underneath so they really didn't get hot very fast. Host ca me over and turned them up for me. Things were a bit smoother after that. The food they offer looks very tasty, but in reality, there's really nothing to mention. I grabbed crab legs, but they were so small that there was barely any meat in them. So the struggle was real, trying to get something to eat out of them. The cross cut ribs were actually good if I would've had a different broth, they would've been better. But then he had little dumplings and little fishy things That just weren't that great. At the end of my meal the only thing that I accomplished was making a mess. I was still a bit hungry, but I couldn't eat any more of this. I was afraid they were gonna charge me $10 more for wasting food, which is what the sign says. I just couldn't eat anymore so I figured that I was done. The hostbrought me the bill and just for me having lunch before tip was $45. I didn't see a price list anywhere when I ordered so I was pretty shocked. I left a small tip because the cost of the meal tap me out for my lunch budget I don't think I'll be back here again. The decor inside is actually pretty cool. Very clean very nice.So

Staff was friendly nothing that jumped out to me but they were good, food was pretty good a whole lot of variety seafood meats, the meats had I think 4-5 types same with kbbq meats grab all yourself. But ayce hotpot and kbbq sold me great idea!!

We got there Saturday around 5pm. We got seated right away. They give you only 90 mins to eat. It took the waitress 10 mins to bring us the broth. They have a good selection on food. The bamboo shoots are tasty. Meat for grilling are tender. Lots of seafood to choose from. The broth is very salty that you don't even need to dip your cooked meat on any sauce.

There are booths where you order food to come cooked, and then the hot pot tables where you order the ingredients and cook them yourself. It's very interactive, and they have plenty of meats, vegetables, tofu, dumplings and noodles. You can choose the broth you want at the beginning and they'll bring out the pot. Each pot is split in 2, so you order one regular broth and then a spicy broth. They also have a veggie broth, which I really enjoy. You can grab things from the salad bar, and they have different sauces/oils you can take and add to your soup. You're able to really customize the experience. It's a fun little experiment you get to do with your friends and family. The space itself is busy with customers walking around and staff brining drinks and food, but it's not crazy. We joke that the steam from the soup is a nice facial treatment. Lol. You can end the night with an ice cream cone and lollipop in the waiting room. I've been a few times, and I will say the first time is overwhelming with trying to figure out what to do, but after that you get more confident and interested in curating a soup that's to your taste.

Once we were seated though, things went downhill. Only one person out of our four person table had done hot pot before, the rest of us were clueless. The server didn't bother to ask if we understood how to order and were super unhelpful every time we asked a question, kind of waving us off. Apparently you place an order and have to wait 20 minutes before you can place another order? What? I've been to kbbq plenty of times and have never been met with this delay. We got their original soup base and curry base. Both were mid. Not very flavorful until the very very end when we had finished cooking and were ready to leave. Maybe eating boiled meat just isn't for me, but I feel like everything was pretty bland and tasteless. The best part of the meal was the ice cream we grabbed on the way out imo. They gave us $20 off coupons randomly, said we couldn't use them that night. Probably a ploy to get us to go back, but not even with a discount like that would I go back. Straight to the trash. Save yourself and go to kbbq or the Asian buffet that's 10 min away. Disappointing night out with the fam.

You can't do this (not the AYCE option), which is understandable and fine, so she showed me the menu where you can get the Mongolian soup with all the hot pot broths and proteins. I've had hot pot in Vancouver, BC and asked for their spiciest, and it was the spiciest thing I've ever eaten a full meal of. So I got the medium spice and it wasn't spicy at all. And in fact, it was so bland, I saw there was salt on the table after I had finished and I thought, "That's what this was missing... salt!" The flavor was so non-existent it didn't even seem like they used salt. Which makes me sad. I wonder if the sweet and spicy broth had any flavor. The only thing I liked about the entire soup (I got the beef and meatballs and added pork belly) were surprisingly the meatballs, when I thought that sounded the least appealing. My friend said she enjoyed her pho, but I don't think I would even come back here to find out if I did too, and I work 3 minutes away. Also, they must have moved because the pictures of the outside have changed and there is no karaoke stage anymore. When I walked in at 6pm on a Wednesday, I was the first one there. Only two other tables showed up. It pains me to see people pour their hearts out into owning a restaurant only for it to be empty, but I sadly could also see why. It was nothing personal. Just lacking in quality taste. I wish them the best though, can't be easy to run a restaurant.

I love that it's a ma and pop but as an Asian person who eats this often I'm just a bit disappointed. Most of the stuff here is Ala carte and that can easily add up quickly. They do have combos for 2 at $30-39 but you're limited to certain cuts of meat. For most AYCE places you can spend $30 and have an abundance of food and options. I spent $53 here and was super limited to meat and a few basic veggies. Even with other places offering higher cut meat the prices here fall in comparison. Portions are also very small even at Ala Carte. Veggies add up quickly at $7 for an order. Another big gripe is that the broth here is super under seasoned and just lack luster for what hotpot actually is. I found myself having to use more sauce, also not happy having to pay for more. Ventilation is poor here so expect to leave sweating a bit. I likely will stick to other places but at least I tried this place out.
